The restaurant was under staffed on Thursday night with long waits (45 mins from ordering). We were given free olives. The 'english' asparagus that featured so heavily on your menu was largely tasteless - not surprising as it's way too early in the season (but I thought you'd prove me wrong as you were majoring on it). The seafood linguini was way too watery (did they fail to drain the pasta properly?!). One of the charcuterie meats was missing and had to be replaced with more of the other meats. There was no cold chardonnay when we requested 2 glasses, so we were given ice. Then we were given the wrong bill. Apart from that ......!
Of course my husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Cote Hampstead tonight! We always do, which is very good testimony, as we eat at Cote two to three times a week. With the recent introduction of reviews, I feel I have already written so many that whoever reads it feels ‘ oh no not her again, praising Cote’!! Anyway I am a BIG fan, especially of the Hampstead branch, which has really lovely staff and food! With many thanks Missi xxx

Had Such an enjoyable time! Food always lovely. Service always an enjoyment - great staff! And, So reasonably priced! EXCELLENT!
Excellent customer service first of all. Value for money and very good quality of food. Service was very fast and perfect to continue for and afternoon stroll in the beautiful neighbourhood of Hampstead. Definitely recommend and It deserve a similar review on trip advisor. Well done guys!
Wonderful building, great staff and delicious food! We come here often.
We’ve received a warm welcome and throughout our stay the staff was attentive and professional. Our lamb was cooked really well and the bottle of complementary wine just perfect. Thank you everyone at Hampstead Cote:)
We are at crest brasswrie last night in Hampstead. Great food we had the chicken potatoes and green beans of the set menu. It was delicious and didn’t disappoint. The restaurant was nearly full and service was efficient and we didn’t have to wait long for food.
Excellent service and good food great value Nice atmosphere would go again .
Food really average. No little extras or frills. Salmon portion small and anaemic looking. Chips too pale. Busy lunchtime and I felt processed and milked. Spinach pancakes were a little tasteless Also not one vegetarian option on the Weekend Special menu.
The Cote experience is always reliably excellent. Good food and good service in comfortable surroundings as expected. This time we had the bonus of free Blood Orange Martinis - which were delicious.
Friendly, kind and delicious food. Given it was mother’s day madness the team looked after us and ensured we had a great brunch. Thank you very much.
Excellent food. Excellent service Excellent atmosphere The managers were amazing. Friendly, efficient and made the evening very enjoyable

Lovely as always. Faultless service. Excellent food. All Côte restaurants are lovely but Hampstead is my favourite branch. Fab Mother’s Day brunch wonderful menu . 6 stars !!!
I was told I was not on the booked List on entering the restaurant with four people at 7pm. I ordered three rhubarb martinis, which I had pre-ordered from your kind free offer. We were charged for these. On arriving home, I discovered a Booking Confirmation, which meant we should not have been charged for the rhubarb martinis at all. George.

Service was really fantastic. Food too. But really the service made it a particularly lovely experience. It kind of exemplifies the ignorance of “leavers” who can’t see how much our friends contribute to our well-being. The maitre’d Polish, waiter Portuguese, and a manager whom I guessed was West African. All were fantastic. My father has dementia and it was my step mother’s 70th. I had mentioned this on my booking form and they delivered - beyond my expectations, though admittedly I have few expectations. This all begins at the top, and obviously you’re all doing something right. Thank you.
Excellent food, quality ingredients, lovely setting, professional staff - tiny quibble that the muffins under my Eggs florentine were a tad soggy... But that's splitting hairs :)
Vistied on Valentine Day . This is a great restaurant, food delicious and reasonably priced, house white wine very good too! Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommend!
As always the food was very good, the staff were great so we had a lovely relaxed meal. One complaint...every time I use the disabled toilet on the ground floor there is never any toilet paper! Please could you ensure that there are always a few spare rolls. Thank you.
nice food and very good service the staff are very good indeed
We had the Breton fish stew which was excellent. The desserts too were excellent, no one can complain about your creme caramel, silky smooth. My only comment on improvement is that we were seated and waited quite a bit before we got any service. Our table was at 2.30, so not the busiest time, I had to wave my hands to get attention. At least if we had something to drink it wouldn’t be too bad. Pity really. I love Cote Brasserie and happy to provide feedback Thank you
Excellent food and good value with pleasant helpful and accomodating staff
A pleasure. Lovely atmosphere and despite minor "hic ups" delightful staff. Recommend the steak tartare. My favourite of the Cote Brasserie s I have visited
We had a lovely meal at Cote Hampstead for my parents' wedding anniversary. The card and flowers from the team were such a nice touch and completely unexpected. The complimentary Kir Royales went down a treat too! Many thanks to the team for a wonderful evening.
Fantastic menu, very delicious food. Courgette fritters fabulous, great choice of main courses, also lots of lovely vegetarian options! Service good, and affordable prices!
We chose from the mother's day menu We did not want the kir royal (not drinking alcohol during lent). This caused some confusion as to what would offered instead . We had a lemonade and a diet coke. I expected something better? Sparkling elderflower and something? Obviously not many non alcohol drinkers were having lunch. Starters ok to good. Poultry roti good. But the spinach and mushroom crepes were not. (I wanted something non meat or fish). The amount of cheese sauce in the dish could be reduced to one third. There was so much sauce that the crepes were slimy soaked lumps . It tasted ok but was not pleasant to eat.
Overall very efficient reliable and consistent ( as always) despite being 100% full. Good service. This is why we keep returning to Cote despite the many independent restaurants in Hampstead most of whom fall short in either service , value or food and cooking quality. It’s all the little details done that little bit better every time that sets cote apart.
Consistently good food. Also, the cost was reasonable when using the pre 7pm menu. Good service. When we arrived, it was quiet but it became fairly noisy towards the end of the meal.....to be expected on Friday evening!

Had the most wonderful luncheon experience. Delicious food , Lovely attentive staff. Old School and a Delight!! My guest and I enjoyed each other without having to cook at home. No dishes to wash either.
Excellent food that we both enjoyed. Prompt service and helpful staff plus reasonable prices. Will definitely come again!! The restaurant is also conveniently situated to where I live and is only one tube station away!!
Lovely dinner. Excellent service. I love the special loyalty offers. I’m never disappointed at Cote. It Wows me every time. Compliments to all the Hampstead stafff Zoe x
Fantastic even though overwhelmed by a full house of diners for Mother’s Day the Staff gave us a great service and a super meal thank you
I have been going regularly to Cote Hampstead for the past 5+ years and every time the service is great and the food tasty and reliable quality - nothing to fault.
Great food (especially March specials) , friendly staff. Highly recommended for birthday celebrations ;) It was a really nice experience, we will definitely come back, soon :)
Food ok, ran out of a couple of items, desert check had been in for 15 minutes before telling us no bananas. Waiter brought wrong wine, put dessert cutlery in the middle of the table, forgot the sparking water, dessert you Ran out of still on the bill. I don’t understand why you have items on your specials that are on your normal menu?? Makes it very confusing for the waiting team. We ordered the special steak frites and delivered the one off the menu which doesn’t come with salad.. The saving grace was the food. Would be good to see the chef playing up the food to be in chef whites and not his external clothes....
Service was a little slow, and we had to ask for things twice. The waitress brought us a bottle of water and forgot to bring the glasses, we had to ask her twice for them! Same thing with the ketchup. It wasn't even busy in there. Initially when we got there the hostess who took us to our table was polite, tentative and kept asking if we needed anything else. Overall food was nice, but a shame that they ran out of the herb chicken as really wanted to try that.
Always a good place to relax in without too much fuss!
Had such a lovely lunch. You couldn't have been kinder. Astounding free desserts for the three of us, thank you so much.
Cote never lets you down. The service is great, you are spoilt for choice with the menu and the food is delicious. Everything is reasonably priced, so you always feel you're getting value for money.

Brilliant walk over The Heath in the bright sun. Crunchy snow on the ground. Convenient place to eat in the heart of Hampstead. Food good enough. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Tables very close together. Very noisy. Slow service.
Very good attentive service and enjoyable food. Given that it was busy - impressive.
Great food and enjoyable early mother's day meal. Steak and chicken delicious as was the fish stew. Praline crepes. Yum. Kept teenagers and olders happy!
Head waitress was very good , young men not so good , we were sat by the bar area and it took them nearly 15 min to make out cocktail and the head waitress still had to alter it by putting the lemon slice in the glass , having said that our meal was as usual very good thank you
Cote is always such a relaxing place because you can be sure of a lovely welcome and really delicious food. Great value for money too which really helps! I’m always confident suggesting Cote as a venue for meeting friends and I’ve never been disappointed.
Love Cote in general and Hampstead is lovely and spacious, perfect for our gathering of 8 old friends. Staff were very welcoming and we loved our special cocktails on arrival. We had a few hiccups with meals though. Several of us ordered the tuna Niçoise salad, then our waiter came back 10 minutes later to say there was no tuna. Then we ordered some wine - same thing, they didn’t have it. The fabulous garlic bread we all love was a bit cold in parts, as if it had started out frozen and hadn’t been heated completely through. BUT - it was still a really nice evening, we had a great time, found a solution to the missing tuna (chicken Niçoise salad anyone? It works!), picked another wine and it was good, all had delicious desserts (creme brûlée is excellent) and our waiter obliged us by taking lots of photos. We will definitely keep Hampstead Cote up the top of the list for future gatherings.
Terrible service left waiting at the table had to call them to serve us. Food was ok although I asked for my lamb to be well done it was nice but the last bit was raw and had to be sent back. Then the waiter added the 10% service charge to my bill without asking even though its supposed to be optional. I normally go to the Highgate branch and I cannot fault them amazing service and food.
A lovely lunch for three with the special offer of blood orange martinis ! Lovely! We had the Risotto Vert and Sea Bass and Fish Parmentier - all beautifully presented and delicious. This was followed by chocolate mousse and creme caramel. The waitress was very attentive, but it was very busy so the service was rather slow, especially fir paying the bill! However, we were not in a hurry and we really enjoyed the food. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.
The food was good, except poached eggs were very overdone but it didnt seem worth complaining about as the rest was nice . However, paying our bill took 45 minutes and three members of staff. I had to leave my table twice to approach the till and sort various errors on the bill. Staff on the whole were courteous, if rather in attentive. I will give Cote another chance as Ive not had a problem before but the wait to pay really was ridiculous and tainted the meal.
Always a pleasure! Great place to meet, have a coffee and a bite.
As always the food was excellent and staff friendly and polite. It was a manic evening for them as the restaurant was almost full but they coped well and we, as guests, felt welcome.

As my husband and I are such frequent guests at Cote Hampstead and I can’t quite keep up with all the reviews- here comes five together!! Two breakfasts and two dinners superbly cooked by Miguel- do try the Côte burger, as it is fantastic! The fifth was another dinner, also cooked beautifully, this time by Marco. I am not very good at remembering names, but I also want to mention a couple of managers: Anna Maria who has been wonderful for years, lovely Agnes, who has recently become a manager and also the very pleasant manager, originally from the North, whose name unfortunately escapes me( long, dark hair) I also want to give a big Thank You 🙏 to the rest of the Hampstead staff, who all are very, very nice, helpful and able!
