another good meal at cote. the tried and trusted chicken and walnut salad. very busy in the restaurant but service is always super speedy and efficient.
Lovely service with a smile. Good food, almost too big a portion. The seating upstairs is cosy but spacious. Very Parisien in feel. Highly recommend if you fancy a value for money dining experience with a mid to wide range of menu choice
Excellent food and service. I have been several times and was never disappointed. This time was perfect again . Highly recommended place for a meal out.
Excellent service. Great food. Lovely evening. What more could anyone ask for? Staff always friendly and helpful. Interesting menu and reasonable pricing. Pleasant setting too.
Very relaxed friendly service. Food was good and wine priced very reasonably. All parties enjoyed their evening.
excellent reception and service and meal !!! will come again. would like eggs Florentine on the lunch menu would like more vegetarian diversity meals on menu
Relaxing, pleasant service, good food and all very well priced. Nice for a convivial evening with friends.
Comfortable food, relaxed atmosphere and affordable for the whole family. A convivial way to start the weekend.
Reliably good food and service every time. Calamari and Steak Frites so good that we struggle to order anything different. This restaurant also has a good atmosphere, always busy but never too noisy.
Great service....didn’t rush us out. Would recommend the steak frites. Reasonable pricing. Extremely attentive without being overbearing. Even had the option of alcohol free beer which was a nice surprise
Good meal, prompt service, reasonable price. Didnt have a pudding as they never quite appeal enough, but otherwise all good. Reliable local and I’m sure we’ll return.
The restaurant offers excellent French cuisine in all categories. Service is also quick, efficient and polite and the ambience is excellent. The set menu options for weekdays offer very good value.
I’ve decided that’s my last Cote ever. Veg was over cooked, everything has too much butter on it and under seasoned, and for what it is - it’s overpriced. £14 for chicken and chips? I’ll take Nando’s anyway.
The dining area upstairs provided an excellent venue, the food and wine were of an excellent standard as was the service. I would certainly return to this brach of Cote and recommend it to others.
We are frequent diners at Cote's in Hampstead. I always 'rave' about it and recommend to friends. Sadly last night was the first time I was disappointed. The young man who served us lacked manners, and possibly training.....we like good wines and were trying ti choose between two. Usually we are offered to taste. This didn't happen, so I asked. He rolled his eyes. We had 2 glasses. My gentleman friend suggested I'd try first. We ended up with two used glasses with my lipstick msrks on both. Decided which wine we would have. The waiter returned to fill up the glasses we had used for testing....I said to my friend, also as a hint to the waiter...."do you mind drinking from my glass with lipstick??"....my friebd smiled. The waiter made no effort nor suggested two clean glasses....I was surprised!!! I also asked where the tuna steak came from, since farmed fish are not very healthy. Again he rolled his eyes and looked up in the ceiling....He did eventually go to ask. Tuna was from spanish waters. Anyway, of course I will go back to Cote's in Hampstead.. .just never had a bad waiter before. The manager lady always super sweet. Sincerely, Eva Wilson
Great service even though there were few staff! Every course was excellent. Staff were friendly. Wine and aperitif were good. My guests said they would recommend it and come again when in london.
Great food and good service. Always consistent with the standard of cooking and a fairly quick turn around of tables even though they seemed to be unstaffed last night. Out waitress upstairs was all alone but cooked so well with a smile on her face. Very helpful and accommodating.
Another enjoyable meal at Cote Hampstead. The waiter service was attentive without being obtrusive and we'll be returning in few weeks for another enjoyable evening!
Brunch food was good but service was sloppy. The staff seemed more concerned about chatting among themselves. It took a while to get their attention despite there being plenty of them and the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Lots of small errors like white toast instead of the ordered brown, ordered marmalade didn’t arrive, ordered milk with the Americana didn’t arrive, coffee was added to the bill when it was already included in the fixed price (formule) - and the waitress just argued this was a perfectly reasonable mistake. I noticed the usual manager wasn’t there. He has normally kept a much tighter ship.
Excellent manageress who was very present and attentive and in charge - did everything she could to make evening special including surprise birthday candle on dessert and singing happy birthday - thank you!
Lovely Monday evening meal. We both went for the set menu which was great value and taste. Service was quality and so was the atmosphere.
Good atmosphere. Busy and therefore the service was a bit slow , but nice guys and very polite too. Steak and chips were delicious. Had a really good time. Will be back
The food was quite tasty, the staff were friendly and efficient and the surroundings were pleasant. It was an altogether nice experience. We would go again.
Great atmosphere! Excellent and friendly service with equally good food. We have been going regularly to Côte Hampstead since it opened and have been rarely disappointed. If there has been a problem, they are quick to rectify the situation.

The service was excellent, but the food variable. Both our main dishes had slightly overcooked elements, with the seafood linguine the pasta itself and with the roast cod, the fish itself. Both dishes were nicely presented and very tasty. But I think a little more care needs to be given to accurate cooking. Otherwise, a delightful experience as always.
The staff are helpful, attentive and professional. We dined on the price fix menu washed down nicely with white and red house wines - everything was excellent!
Although it was quite busy and there was initially only one waiter on duty, the service was both prompt and efficient. We had two wonderful gin and tonic cocktails, beautifully served with a sprig of lavender. The food was excellent. We had fish parmentier and escalope de veau. For dessert I had a gorgeous summer fruits pavlova and my friend the tarte aux pommes- both delicious. A lovely lunch, thank you!
Staff, particularly the manager were very welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere pleasant. Food OK. Nothing extraordinary, but reliable. One got the feeling that everyone was trying hard to please which makes a change.
We were greeted soon after our arrival and taken to our table in a few minutes. Our delicious meal started with the refreshing complimentary gin cocktails (offer of the month for their rewards program), and perfectly prepared starter and main courses. The service was excellent.
Great food, both quantity and quality, and excellent service. It fully justifies its positive reputation. Good decor and general atmosphere. Overall very good value for money.
Took our family of five for my son's 11th birthday All had fillet steaks, medium-rare. Perfect cooked. Great service. Fantastic desserts. Will definitely go again.
Service was below expectation. Staff were not attentive and practically ignored us. Forgot my starter and forgot part of the main course. Disappointing. Most of the food was excellent but it is the whole experience that is important.
Lovely peaceful restaurant with beautiful food and service that made us feel like we were the only ones there. We went for breakfast and it certainly put us in the mindset to deal with the rest of the day.
We go here often unfortunately our steaks were not good but the staff immediately changed them. Very good after that. Service good. Salads and vegetables graaty
I booked 4 people for a friend's birthday. He ordered the dick breast which was unfortunately very tough and he had to swap it for a steak. In the meantime the rest of us had almost finished our meal so it was a bit disappointing.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food, excellent service. Delicious free drink, good to have hsd two!! This is our favourite Cot in ambience and professionalism of staff. Very well trained
Excellent service by very well trained and friendly staff. Very clean restaurant and the food was outstanding, once again, Cote impressed. I would highly recommend.
Great food and excellent service! Had a fabulous meal and really enjoyed it! Love the napkins and creme caramel - excellent menu! Also love the tap water served in brown bottles!
Very welcome air conditioning. Pleasant enough service. A shame they don't serve breakfast menu beyond 12 noon but good choices on lunch menu. Too much garlic in ratatouille; otherwise nicely cooked and served dishes. Very useful local restaurant.
This was my first time at cote Hampstead. Restaurant looks beautiful.....open windows......best looking one in London! Atmosfere was great, service first class. Creme caramel fantastic! Shame that Tuna carpaccio didnt live up to the rest. It was tasteless, like i imagine cardboard is. Didnt have to complain though. Left food was noticed by staff and issue delt with very well.
Cosy restaurant with delicious menu. Easy walking distance from Hampstead station. Only downfall is charged parking nearby and it is £7 for two hours and no return.
We had a delightful evening. It was a birthday celebration which went down very well. There was GOOD food, GOOD service, in GOOD surroundings, and we will be returning.
Service was slow and in one case they forgot to bring another glass of wine which we asked for....was also noisy and people walking around our table all the time
Very poor meal: light meal- chicken and walnut salad. 1 tiny piece of walnut and very dry strips of chicken. Very small portion and very disappointing. Asked for dressing on the side but it came already dressed.
Food and drink and service all fantastic as always, will be returning again very soon
Delicious food, served promptly and efficiently by a very attentive waiter ( Anton). It was a lovely lunch, thank you! We recommend sitting upstairs where it is slightly less crowded and you can sit undisturbed.
This is my 2nd time here, and once again I am impressed. Fantastic service! Attentive, friendly & warm staff! Food was delicious too. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Great food, well prepared and with fresh ingredients refreshed and changing menu, good atmosphere and attentive but non pushy staff. Cote have it sorted .
The latest fixed price menu is very good - interesting and varied. I had warm smoked mackerel with a soft boiled egg and broad beans as a starter and then a summer salad that included melon, parma ham, mozarella as well as green salad. For £11.50 Good wine and friendly efficient service as always
Lovely evening with delicious options from Cote’s summer menu . Service was ok in spite of restaurant being full . We will return very soon
