Brunch was very nice, both the vegetarian breakfast and cooked breakfast were very good. The restaurant can be quite noisy but we sat in a quiet corner so it was ok. Staff friendly and service quick.

Waited over 20 minutes to order, even our drinks. Then what we wanted wasn’t available. Food ok when it arrived but nothing special at all.

Service good, not too noisy, smiling staff who went out of their way to help. But not the best night for food. Green risotto in particular- normally excellent- was strangely tasteless which was very disappointing.

The French onion soup was served warm instead of hot. It was too cheesy as well. The steaks were done correctly and served hot. The seafood linguine was served warm.

When we arrived it was very busy: they were turning away people without bookings. The member of staff on the door was excellent, dealing in a very friendly, clear and calm manner with the waiting crowd (including a delivery driver who wasn't pleased at having to wait). She managed to seat us downstairs at our request too, so top marks! We thought service might be slow given how busy it was, but actually it was very fast, and our main course arrived before the plates from our starter had gone. We finished 2 courses in about 40 minutes, which was actually a bit too quick for an evening meal! The food was fine, in a very traditional style. We weren't tempted by the puddings.

It was not as good as Islington where I usually go

Pleasant staff, comfortable dining, food was as ever tasty and unpretentious. Pork belly was beautifully crispy and the calamari a very appealing entrée. Wine was solid and reasonably priced. All told a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Very disappointed, although to be honest I'm not sure if the fault is with Cote or Quandoo. I booked a table some weeks back for 14th February, through Quandoo. When we got to the restaurant, we found that the only menu available to us was a special 3 course Valentine's day menu. We didn't want this: just the regular one. At no point when I booked, or in the 2 follow up emails that were sent to me, was anything mentioned about there being a special menu. What made it worse was that there were some people eating food off the regular menu, but apparently they had ordered before 7pm, when the special menu only policy kicked in. If we'd known, we could have booked for an earlier time (or not at all). We left and got a normal meal at one of our other regular restaurants. Very disappointed.

Tasty food. Staff were polite, but had a very rushed style about them. Only the Valentines menu was available but this wasn’t explained using Quandoo for booking.

Excellent food and service. Easy to book on line. Nice atmosphere. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. I can't think of anything else to say but I need to get to 25 words!

Good quality, fresh ingredients. We were there with another couple and had a great time. Its just what is advertised on the tin. I lived in Paris for several years and would say that Cote is a great representation of the Parisian corners brasserie -- except that the service is much better in the UK.

Good food as ever. Pork belly excellent as was the chicken and the calamari Relaxing but struggled to cope with numbers on a busy Friday evening. Waiting time for service initially too long although staff are delightful.

A very enjoyable lunch experience. Cote continually produces food of a good quality, which is well presented. The service was friendly, polite and efficient. The wine list is uncomplicated and reasonably priced.

This is one of the large chain, and on a Sunday it was very busy which made it extra loud and noisy. On the plus side, the food is delightfully and predictably French bistro with all the standards you would expect, well cooked and presented well. On the slightly negative side, on this occasion, the service was also predictably French, with waiters not knowing who ordered what, food being passed across the table over the heads of people rather than served from the side, and a distinct ‘non’ when we asked for substitutes because of allergies, being to,d that the item would not be served but no substitutes. On one occasion, after the wrong desert had been brought, the right desert eventually arrived and was served, across the table, knocking food off the fork of the poor person sitting closest to the waiter. Could do better, even on a busy Sunday.

A rare visit to Cote in the evening but as ever the service was friendly and efficient . I also tried the butterfly chicken breast for the first time which was excellent!
