We had to wait ten minutes to start our mains because the steak one of our guests ordered wasn’t ready. The calamari, which on previous visits were large and well cooked, were small and greasy this time.

we enjoyed the great food - duck & scallops. The very competent service was hindered by the tablet requiring waiters having to do lots of typing.

The food is always great at Cote and today's lunch was no exception. The prices are also very reasonable, so you get goo value for money. The ambience works for me - even as it was today, with families and children! The staff are excellent. I asked for the music to be turned down and that was not a problem. You can't ask for more than Cote offers.

We are amazed that you can turn out quality food reliably to a restaurant packed with diners. Service was excellent too, very speedy and friendly. Well done and we will be back!

I regularly dine at Cote as its very close to where I live but really bad today.

The staff coped very well with a table of 10 and the food was very pleasing. Would definitely go again.

We had a wonderful meal of chateaubriand with some lovely wine. The meal was fabulous.

An evening meal with my husband that caused us stress. Our waiter asked for our order before we had even settled into our seats. He forgot to bring our glass of wine before our meal. I ordered the 3 course Christmas menu. The food came very quickly. During our main course the waiter rudely took my husbands plate away when I had only eaten have of my meal and presumed I had finished even though I had not put my knife and fork together. I told him I was still eating but he had made me feel uncomfortable. Another waiter came to bring me my dessert whilst I was still eating my main course. My husband questioned him and he began to answer back. Our evening was ruined by two waiters who didn’t have a clue what they were doing and couldn’t speak adequate English. There was no apology. Very disappointed.

Nothing exciting, felt like just another restaurant that serves foods around Hampstead. Staffs doing their jobs with a positive attitude which is great. There’s no wow at all overall for me and friends.

It's the second visit to Cotes and I wish you were closer to Petts Wood. We are close to Cote's in Chislehurst and this is also a "favourite". Are you both in the same Group?

Saturday night pre-cinema meal. Restaurant was quite busy and very noisy. Food was good - service poor! I don't appreciate having to get up to find someone to take our order having already communicated to a member of staff that we were ready to order.

Very disappointing meal I’m afraid. The crab starter was delicious. My prawn cocktail was those big rubbery prawns. Only Atlantic prawns are good for this dish. I had the sliced chicken breast with mushroom creme fraiis sauce. Chicken so dry but masked by the sauce. My partner had the moules frites but sadly they tasted reheated with the sauce poured over to disguise they were very dry too. Your branch in Christopher Place is so much better even though they’re so much busier. Hope nw3 are not trying to cut corners? That would be sad.

Great food. Dreadful service. I eat in the Fulham branch regularly, and have always had good service. 1st time in Hampstead and We won’t be returning. We had to ask repeatedly to order drinks, food, desert menu, to order desert, for the bill we sat with our coats on, and asked 3 staff before standing by the service station to pay. We felt like an inconvenience to the staff, (who were many), not one took responsibility for our table. A very disappointing way to spend time and money.

My fish pie had lots of bones in it and my vegetables smelt off .. the manager swapped it for a salad and still charged me for a salad that was more than the meal and never deducted the vegetables.. came away feeling very disappointed and hungry

Excellent service (waitress jessie)and food. We loved the free cocktail - sidecar and would order it again even if it wasn't free! V good touch being able to transpose a veg for French fries, and upgrade pudding list without hassle. Thanks.

Upstairs is quite noisy. Especially as staff throw cutlery into drawers. One waitress dropped a tray of crockery 3 tines during our meal! We became nervous each time she passed. Food was ok but chicken over cooked and salad drenched in dressing so that it over powered the flavours.

Somehow this visit. Slow service and not the same. Used to slick care. This time the food excellent but in-house needed to be up to standard. A wait of an hour before food. Not our usual finding

I have been dining at Cote Hampstead for many years and the food maintains its great standards of quality and taste. Always a treat coming here. The steak and frite followed by dessert is great value and one of our favourites. The onion soup is one of best I have tasted and wines are good too.
