As ever at Cote in Hale, excellent food complemented by excellent service. The extensive menu always has the added attraction of weekly specials. Great food at very reasonable prices.
Great food at an excellent price. We had the pre-theatre menu which is £10.95 for 2 courses and £12.95 for 3 courses - the food was fantastic, I would have happily paid double that for it. It's just simple French food done well, nothing too adventurous but nice flavours and pairings cooked well - especially true given the price of the early dinner menu. The venue is nice, simple, clean, spacious and the staff were fantastic. Will certainly be back.
Lovely food, excellent service, staff very attentive. Would highly recommend the restaurant. Enjoyed it so much I have booked again to go fir lunch next Tuesday.
Good food, and nicely renovated decoration; my sorrow at the loss of the Hale Grill has been offset somewhat. Two things stopped it being a "6,; the long wait for our bill, and no live music.
Friendly staff , great choice of food on early diner menu , reasonable pricing , especially for a restaurant in Hale ! Will definitely be going back
Great service from our server - really lovely with the kids. Food is pleasant bistro fare - nothing amazing - but everyone happy in our family.
Not authentically French, no atmosphere. Background music way too, loud, acoustics poor. Food & beverage offering average at best. Service OK, but nothing out of the ordinary. Won't be going back again.
We had a delightful evening here on 5th April. THe food was excellent and the staff were tip-top, friendly and gave excellent service. Will be goong again.
Very professional. Very good food. Excellent friendly service. Not noisy so you can converse with your friend. I have already recommended my friends to eat there.
We had a very enjoyable meal at Cote in Hale. The food was very good, being hot and generous size portions. We will definitely return
Enjoyed a meal for two here with my husband. To start I had duck liver pate and my husband had black pudding with a poached egg and for main course I had duck and my husband had chicken. Both meals were cooked to perfection. The service was good and very efficient Staff were friendly and smiling We will be back for more
Service very good. Meal also very good. My only complaint would be the size of the side orders. Have never seen portions so small!! Definitely need to improve the size!
We have been on a few occasions now and always found that we have had Excellent service and food. Definitely recommend it for any occasion.
Excellent food, ambiance, well trained staff and value for money. Cote Brasserie is now our favourite restaurant in Hale village, amongst much good competition. Highly recommended
it was alright, but nothing more than a l r i g h t. Food was good, atmosphere o k . . . . .
Steak Frite was great, as was the service from Luigi. Restaurant sadly lacked atmosphere. Such a shame they removed the bar from when it was the Hale Grill, as it was great for pre-dinner drinks. Won't rush back.
Good food. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Service with a smile and attentive, unlike the way a few restaurants in the area. I'd avoid the 1/2 chicken as it wasn't what I would call rotisserie
Excellent service from the booking confirmation to being greeted and shown to your table which you are able to choose! The waiter gives you details of specials and recommendations. Cooked to perfection and delicious
Been a few times since Hale opened. My family we're here visiting from London. Went early because of the children. Very friendly kind staff and the food was great. Excellent service. Very professional.
The food was from the early diner menu, and it was very small portions, not the best you can tell it was a chain restaurant - doesn't look like the food on website! - Camembert was more like a starter size rather than a main. You also need to order sides. Waiter was attentive.
The food was good but we thought it was overpriced and there is better value to be had elsewhere. The lighting was very poor....so much so that we had to use a torch to read the menu and we certainly could not see what we were eating!
As ever, great food and great service at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is really buzzing and it seems as if the staff have been encouraged to have a personality and to think for themselves. I'd recommend it highly.
My first visit to this restaurant and not disappointed. Seated straight away, good food and good service without feeling rushed. Will definitely go back again.
Waiter messed up desert order. Slow service. Steak frites - steak still not served pink. Dressing on starter too vinegary. Chicken, Sea bream delicious. Love the chocolate pot.
Myself and 3 family members enjoyed our meal very much and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Just one little hiccup with our bill. We were given a bill for a different table but it was rectified quickly with an apology.
Excellent newly opened French Bistro is well laid out inside & serves delicious fixed price meals until 1900. A mere stroll don the road for us.
The 2 course lunch is fantastic value and offers a good range of authentic French food. Our meal was delicious and perfectly cooked. The service is fantastic; all the staff were friendly and helpful.
It was a great experience!!! Delicious food!! Great service! The meals were very good and everyone finished all their food. Dessert was a perfect ending!!
Fantastic food and service 😊 Definitly recomend the early bird menu great value for money will definitly visit again the fish pie is awsum x
Busy Saturday, team friendly but struggled to get the order correct. Obviously working to formula as expected but food not up to expectations. 12.5% service automatically added to bill not entirely deserved.
Very good food and service!! Will definitely come back with friends. Had previously been to other Cote restaurants and good to see the standards maintained.
Good food , enjoyable atmosphere , good service. Tart-tatin must be served hotter ! Prices are very good for this quality of mainly French food. Gift of the bottle of wine lost when signing up. You think you are signing up to Cote but you are in fact signing up to Quandoo !!!! So I lost the bottle of wine !!!!
Love the new restaurant. Very relaxed. Varied and good value menu. Great fish stew. Small issue going upstairs to toilets when waiting staff coming down with food Will defintely return Our waitress mentioned we would receive free bottle of wine in our next visit?
Excellent service and excellent food. We were a group of six and the booths are not all that comfortable for 'older' people, prefer chairs !
Dinner for two on a Friday night - all very good. Complimentary amuse bouche was a nice touch and our mains (Steak au Poivre and Belly Pork) both very good although the pepper sauce overpowered the steak a bit. Desserts of Creme Caramel and Tarte Tatin both delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. With wine and Kir Royale £86 including 12.5% discretionary service.
Went with my Partner for a meal after work on Friday. Really friendly greeting as soon as we walked in. Superb service throughout, great ambience, delicious food. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. We often come for breakfast as we love the breakfast set menu - it is really good value for money. Thank you!
Service first class and food excellent. Restaurant was quiet but ambience was just right. Excellent selection and staff are always on hand to advise. Will return.
Very good all round. Bill was wrong as we were charged for the free wine which was put right after pointing it out. Will come again
Just the sort of place I'm looking for. Pleasant surroundings. Lively atmosphere.Friendly efficient staff serving great food at very reasonable prices. What's not to like.
Quite a pleasant evening but was spoilt somewhat by the fact that we were a party of 4 and on both the first course and second courses 2 meals were brought and 2 people were kept waiting for 5 minutes for the others to arrive. Surely the 2 which were brought could have waited until all 4 were ready at the same time. The restaurant was not even packed
My husband and I enjoyed an evening meal recently. I had a Roquefort salad and hubby had the calamari both simple and tasty. My main dish was pork belly and hubby had a huge juicy steak. Desserts were creme caramel and ice cream with hot chocolate sauce followed by coffee and calvados. We also enjoyed a very nice bottle of pouilly-fuisse I would like to say that the menu is good, food and service very good. It was a fairly busy Saturday night and the only thing that let it down for us was a 20 minute wait for the dessert but this was rectified quickly after I complained and coffee was taken off the bill. Overall a most enjoyable evening
Great ambiance and delicious food and the service was excellent. What more could one ask? Well worth a visit. I shall be going again quite soon.
food good. nice place. shame the haddock wasn't available (and got last fish pie)... learning point fish popular ?!. service can on ocassion be a tad over attentive but on balance much better problem to have compared to some other establishments .
Nothing to dislike about this new restaurant chain. Service from all staff was excellent, markedly better than other new French chain restaurants in the area. The food was very formulaic with little/no seasoning or depth of taste. Hence the average rating, nothing bad, nothing brilliant, decent casual dining, if s little on the expensive side.
Very pleasant experience. Have often eaten at Cote, Saint Pauls and recently at Cote, Tooley Street. The branch in Hale is very much up to their standards.
This iis our third visit to Cote at Hale and each time we have not been disappointed. Each meal has been great at a very reasonable price and at last a restaurant with a good sized serving of my favourite dessert Creme Brûlée. Service is alaways good and friendly especially from Amar on our last visit.
The restaurant was busy for a Tuesday evening. The ambience was warm and sociable and the food and wine was good. As a new restaurant I think there are a few teething problems. Unfortunately the side of beans was forgotten and didn't arrive until halfway through the main. We were then given the dessert menu and everyone forgot to take our order so we decided to pay and leave without ordering our dessert. Hopefully next time we go the service will be better.
Absolutely average. A little disappointed compared with other Cote restaurants I've visited. Maybe it's too soon. Just don't be complacent because you're in an affluent area. We vote with our feet.
Early dinner menu was excellent. Quality of food very good. I chose the Mussels followed by French Cottage pie and vegetables. Both courses delicious. Glass of dry white wine recommended by the Waiter went nicely with my food. Great atmosphere. Would recommend.
