Not the best service & food choices a little bland the restaurant was quite as it is Sunday my wife likes the place l Was a little disappointed.

Have been here before and have always really enjoyed it. Came here in a party of 6 for my dad's birthday. Service was good - they knew it was a celebration so brought dad a beer - they did however charge us for this at the end of the meal. Three of the party ordered steak frites - this was way too salty and we sent food back. Every other time we have been the food has been really good - I particularly enjoyed the fishcakes on a previous visit but these now seem to have gone from the menu.

The restaurant had a good atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. The menu was very varied and on the whole the food was good. My calamari starter was disappointing as not of the same quality as I had had before.

Very enjoyable experience. Moules as a starter, steak frites as a main and an amazing desert with crepes, chocolate,caramelised banana and chantilly cream. Glass of Syrah. Brilliant value. Friendly efficient staff. Can't wait to go again.

Good food. Great service! And great recovery by the front of house team to longish wait for our main course. Second visit and will come again

Food was reasonable, service efficient and pleasant. Just a bit ordinary. Useful if, like us, you're looking for a last minute place for Sunday lunch.

Today my husband and I had a superb lunch. We went off the set lunch menu and had a bottle of Muscadet. We both had soup which was delicious and I had haddock and my husband had pork. We shall certainly be going to Cote again soon,

Excellent customer service. The staff were so friendly and helpful and were really welcoming and kind to our two year old daughter. A very family friendly restaurant!

We had a lovely meal. Really great steak and roast chicken. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value for money too would definitely recommend a visit.

Good service with attentive waiters. We chose Roast hake served on chick peas which was very tasty. Overall an excellent experience and we will go back.

Very good menu, reasonable price range however, much of our food was clearly pre-cooked and finished off in the kitchen. Nothing was bad about it but clearly lacked a caring finish before it was served. I would prefer to pay more and have a professional 'collation' of what had been pre-prepared and a professional oversight to the food.

We were welcomed and attentitively served with well cooked, uncomplicated but tasty bistro food. The menu whilst short was balanced, thoughtful and varied. An enjoyable evening spent with fiends.

Exellent menus and choice. I would need to go 5 or 6 times to go through my favourites! Waitress (Italian) was very helpful and had a bubbly personality. Service was slow even though it was not busy, but the food was well worth waiting for. Good choice of wine and some reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Recently refurbished to a stylish standard this restaurant offers French cuisine and wines of a high standard, and with competitive reasonable pricing. Service was very good and all the staff were dressed very smartly. Highly recommended

Welcome and service good. Food good. Certainly value for money BUT 12.5% tip automatically added to bill?! There were only two of us so presumptive and cheeky to say the least. Good for business lunch or 'relaxed' dining.

Food and wine was delicious. Despite the number of staff on service seemed slow. Once food was served we seemed almost forgotten about and waited a very long time to be offered a dessert menu and for our plates to be cleared.

Dinner at Cote last night for a mini school reunion. Good food, good service and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. We will be back!

Always reliable....always friendly and generally good value for money 2 or 3 course early evening supper. We are becoming regular visitors to Cote in Hale village

The food was good with plenty of choice at reasonable prices. The staff were excellent & worked very hard. The only downside was the noise but it was a Saturday night!

Excellent food & excellent service - we have eaten here before & will be doing so again - we took friends tonight who were of the same opinion.

Nice food and very friendly waitress. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and wasn't too busy as it was quite early. We had the early evening set menu which was good value for money.

Enjoyed everything. Food, service and wonderful waitress If being picky - the hostess situation needs a little fine tuning ! Our table on arrival wasn't ready but we were made too aware that this was an issue and had to hang around by the doorway whilst this was sorted. Luckily all 4 had a faultless meal and service so made up for the rocky start

Great food! Really good quality and good value for money. Service could be improved though. The waitresses were too over attentive and in your face. Much nicer in the front of the restaurant than at the back - not that much atmosphere

Very enjoyable evening with friends on Saturday. Good food well presented and excellent and attentive service. More fish (not shellfish) on the menu would have been appreciated.

The restaurant was very quiet with little atmosphere. The food was good but the alcohol free beer was very overpriced and the 12.5% service charge was over the top. I know I needn't have paid it but it was easier to do so. I shall not be going back any time soon!

Good food, good value set menu, nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Staff seem a bit inexperienced and disorganised and service is sometimes very slow.

The food was very nice and not too expensive, the restaurant has been done up very nicely however it was very noisy and at point difficult to have a conversation.

Cote has by far the best gluten free menu in Hale/Altrincham. The service was great and the food was lovely. A very reasonable price also.

All staff trying really hard in a difficult site where kitchen displaced from eating area up side stairs . Having said that CB Hale charges automatic 10% gratuity, for which I would not expect indifferent pasta, unripe melon and ham, and tuna (nicoise) mostly tartare and not seared at all on outside. The whole experience doesn't really feel like French cuisine - sorry but B+ only

We had an excellent meal as always from the early bird menu. The waitress was very polite and attentive giving efficient service. The food was tasty and hot. We shall definitely be returning soon.

Very good service and food excellent. Some language problems but matter quickly corrected .Will definitely go again In fact we are taking our best friends next time

I really like this restaurant. It's unpretentious and relaxed. The food is tasty and nicely presented. The staff are excellent and fully engaged and in tune with their diners. A lovely evening. Thank you.

In addition to the a la carte menu, which always provides dishes that are well above average in terms of quality and value for money, the July monthly specials included a truly excellent yellow fin tuna carpaccio which we shared and a cod lion in ham which my Wife said was very good. The staff were, as always, efficient, friendly and attentive.

The food was as always first class and I would never omit having my creme caramel dessert - for me it is a must. It is always enjoyable, made particularly so by the pleasant and friendly staff.

Had a lovely lunch with friends. Food was delicious and service was excellent. We had a really relaxing time. The sea bream was lovely and the side dish of dauphin potatoes was great.

Delicious meal. When we arrived we ordered 2 glasses of champagne. The waiter, who was delightful asked if we were celebrating something. It was our silver wedding anniversary, son they very kindly gave them to us complimentraky - such a nice thought. The meal was delicious, the atmosphere good and the staff delightful. We shall certainly be making another visit there.

The lovely French waitress was very attentive & polite...The portion size of the set menu was more than adequate. Best fish cake I've ever had as it contained so many meaty pieces of fish!

It was ok the food was good but the service Was mixed as some of the sides we ordered never arrived and we had to ask a number of times for a side order of bread . I think the waiter was new ?

We are frequent visitors to Cote and its friendly staff and well-cooked food ensure we will return. No exception on this visit with adequate vegetarian/fish dishes for mains and excellent desserts ensuring an enjoyable time

Very tasty and pleasant staff also good to have complimentary water as much as you like. Also enjoyed the complimentary Kia royal for two people.

Always enjoy it at Cote and did again this time. Staff could not do enough, but think the chef needs to perfect his serving of PINK minute steak. Staff very apologetic but it didn't stop us enjoying our evening

The food was flavoursome and the staff pleasant. Portions are not large but adequate. Fairly pricey with 3 courses and one glass of wine being £40 per person.
