Côte Guildford

Went to Cote for a pre-theatre dinner. Buzzy atmosphere very efficient and friendly service and a classic French Brasserie menu that was well cooked. We even managed 3 courses in the time. Steak tartare was stellar as was the creme caramel. Definitely worth a visit

We had very good food and excellent service on a busy evening at our local Cote restaurant - we look forward to our next visit.

Excellent service, good food, and fine champagne and claret-what's not to like. Always consistently high standard as good as any Paris brasserie. Bravo, well done.

The food was good but the tables were too close together for comfort. Customers are less likely to return if they feel they are being squeezed in.

My wife and I had an excellent lunch at Cote Brasserie, Guildford. We had three courses each and they were very tasty. The service was very good as usual.

This was my third visit to the Guildford Cote Brasserie and as in the previous two times both the service and food were excellent. For our starters we had the charcuterie board and the calamari which were both very tasty and really good portions. For our mains we both had the rump of lamb which were cooked perfectly. We used their freebie bottle of wine offer which made the night out really good value for money too. I thoroughly recommend the place.

Excellent food with a wide choice on the menu.. And excellent service. With cheerful waiters and waitresses. Easy access and parking close to the restaurant.

My meal was delicious. My friend had issues with her risotto. It was replaced but still not good. Staff very helpful and took money off bill It appears that the risotto had a base of a liquid mushroom sauce and all one could taste was a flour base and soup like consistency not like usually made. Anyway we had a good afternoon and otherwise food lovely. Issues to address v a vis your risotto though

Lovely food and service. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Cote restaurants always have the best cooked steaks and Guildford is no different. Congratulations to all.

Good food and nice staff. A little bit noisy with a big party next to us but the staff were happy to move us. Creme Caramel good as ever.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a lively buzz. The staff are excellent. They are pleasant and friendly and the service is very good, without being intrusive. There is good choice of food and the specials are varied. The food is beautifully presented and arrives promptly. I think that in some areas of the restaurant, however, the tables are rather close together. Unfortunately, last night there was a woman on the next table with a very penetrating voice and my dining companion and I could not actually hear each other! Otherwise, an excellent meal.

Last night the restaurant was rather crowded, no doubt with pre-theatre diners. We chose to be seated at the back of the restaurant, but found so noisy that we had to ask to be moved to another table. The meal was very good, although the coq au vin could have been warmer. The staff, as always, were polite and attentive, and we were made to feel very welcome. You have not made clear how your rating system works, so I do not know if 1 is bad or good.

We are always so warmly welcomed at Cote, Guildford. The staff are so courteous and efficient and the ambience is very cosy in the evenings. A great place to meet friends. We were there pre-theatre and although the restaurant was very busy the service was swift and attentive. Food is very nice too, and it's good to have a set menu before 7pm for those with little time to linger i.e. pre-theatre like us. We'll be back.....again....and again!

Lunch Menu war exzellent, die Bedienung freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider mussten wir bei der Ankunft recht lange warten bis wir zu unserem Tisch begleitet wurden.

Excellent meal and friendly service. We ate the chicken dish from the early evening menu and it was fab as was the crumble dessert. Glad we booked as it was very busy.

Cote is always consistant: Fantastic food, super service, great atmosphere and, most important of all, it always offers superb value. We will go again - regularly !

Perfect for a pre Theatre dinner, the service was excellent, great food, very enjoyable experience. I will look forward to visiting again soon next time in Guildford.

Pre theatre meal was excellent as was the speed, humor and accuracy of the service. Overall it was a very good meal at a very good price.

Excellent food and attentive service. Review requires minimum of 25 words but there is nothing more that can usefully be said so a rather pointless requirement.

Food was excellent but the service was a little messy. There was a bit of a mixup with our food order and the drinks were delayed and had to be followed up twice.

Once again the speedy service and really enjoyable food made our Sunday lunch another happy experience as it was a second visit to a Côte in one week.

As always the food and the service were very good. Unfortunately on this occasion our evening was spoilt by a very loud mixed group of 8 people on an adjacent table. They did calm down a little when spoken to by a member of staff So well done to Cote.

Great food and friendly staff as always. We opted for the early bird supper as we were going to the theatre later. It's an ideal place just a few minutes walk away.

The food is very good. Just one thing that my wife didn't like: a small stone that she found in her Jerusalem Artichoke starter. The house gave us a goodwill discount in the final bill.

As ever, it was faultless, so reliable in both service and food and excellent value, especially the early menu. A well established senior team always seem have this branch operating smoothly.

Excellent restaurant with great ambience and food/wine list. We like the early bird menu which is excellent value. Need to book to avoid disappointment if later in the week.

It was disappointing that the table was not ready for us when we arrived. But the food was very enjoyable and staff very attentive. The wine was good and the atmosphere relaxing.

Had the special 2 course deal. Extremely good value and the food was good. Staff pleasant although we do find the tables are a little too close for out liking.
