Côte Guildford

Great welcome and service. Delicious food as usual but why do they let themselves down with us having to chase and wait to catch their eye when we want the bill. We have decided it is time to go and we want out now. So many times in many diff restaurant this is where the evening goes wrong.

Met up with friends on Monday to have lunch. We were amazed at how busy it was. We took Cote up on their offer of a free bottle of wine which was delicious! The food and service were excellent as always. We arrived at 1o'clock and didn't leave until 4o'clock, we had such a good time!!

Great food selection at a good price, attentive service (even on a busy Saturday evening), and lovely surroundings/atmosphere. Would definitely recommend, and will return soon.

Great atmosphere, exceptional food and wine. The service was excellent, staff were attentive but not intrusive and even though the restaurant was very busy the service was never delayed. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening

The food could not be faulted, exactly what you’d expect from Cote. The service however... lacking. Arrived 7.30, left 10.30? For two courses. I like a relaxed atmosphere with no hurry to order, we did take our time over choosing mains, but they’re a bit too relaxed. The waitress ignored us most of the evening, it took a while to order a dessert. After handing us the menus she disappeared again, came back for a fleeting moment and didn’t give us a chance to reply so decided that we weren’t ready to order yet. When we finally managed to get the bill we paid and left a cash tip on the table as it’s the done thing. We stayed a while longer and finished our drinks which saw the end of our waitresses shift, as she walked towards the door, she clocked the tip... danced back to the bar, not-so-discreetly said to the people behind the bar that she knows there’s a tip for her to collect in the morning whilst pointing towards us. No tip was left after that unsubtle performance.

Always a good experience. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly as usual. Also the meals were very good value for money

All was good food and excellent service. Would definitely recommend the pork belly. We used the free wine offer, so very good value deal. The wine is very good standard

Excellent meal. Good value and attentive and polite waiter. Lower score due to excessive noise levels. Due to low ceiling no doubt ! Difficulty having a conversation. Quieter near the front of the restaurant.

My sea bass and chocolate mousse was delicious and the service was very good. Always a good and reliable place to meet, would recommend highly

Staff were very attentive, food came on time and it was delicious. Ordered seabream and calamari. The atmosphere quite relaxed. Would definitely go back there again.

Food was of the usual high standard the only negative being where we sat on the side by the kitchen where we were on our own.

We had great food, with great service - very friendly staff, and there was a great atmosphere as the restaurant was very busy, helps to book in advance.

The sea bream was nicely cooked; French Fries were the best I've ever tasted. Our waiter was extremely pleasant though I felt he didn't have enough room to manoeuvre between the tables which were tightly packed in. We could hear our neighbours' conversation above our own.

The meal is always good at cote. We have eaten there many times. It’s so much better then anything else on the high street now a days. It’s a adult restaurant.

Cote Guildford is consistently good. The food is always hot and well presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only reason that I gave a 5 not 6 is that the restaurant itself last night was just rather too warm.

Once again great service and really excellent value for money. We both had the (day and early evening) three courses for £13.95 , with the £2.00 steak supplement. No stunting on quality even though so inexpensive. Even non-offer items such as drinks and coffee are competitively priced. Great atmosphere too. This turns a treat into more of a regular thing. Can’t praise enough and will be back again!

The service was very good as always, food excellent hot plates staff attentive have been visiting here for many years and the standard remains excellent.

We had brunch. Nice food and good service. The only issue was that like many restaurants nowadays, it can be very noisy. Bare wooden floors and walls with nothing to absorb sound.

Try the Rabbit Parmentier - it's delicious! Service, as always, was excellent. Make sure you book though as it's always full at lunchtimes. Can't wait for my next visit!

As always, a great meal, great value for money and good atmosphere. Just a pity that we were so rushed. Plates were whisked away just as you put your cutlery down. had to ask for a break after the main meal!

food is good but the service is not good - staff are unfriendly and come across as miserable. It took ages to get our bill at the end of the meal and ended up stood around near the door for 5 minutes trying to get attention so we could pay and leave - the Farnham branch are much more friendly.

On a Saturday night the restaurant was jam packed. Very noisy, I had to virtually shout to my wife over the table. It took 20 minutes to be offered a menu and drink. The food arrived fairly promptly and was acceptable. I will not be returning at a busy time.

We choose to eat at Cote Guildford when my friend and I meet there to shop. The food is always very good and the service very attentive and this time was no exception.

As usual the standard of food and service was very good. At reception we were expected and led to our table quickly. I think the awards system is very attractive and generous.

Fantastic service and delicious food. The lunch time menu is excellent value for money. The menu is changed every month so is varied. Côte is my favourite restaurant.

Food was excellent , only criticism table by window was cold and draught felt on every entrance/exit to restaurant ,would book again but request a different table

We went for my friends birthday and it was her first time. The staff were wonderful and put a candle in her dessert and made her birthday special. Thank you too all the staff

We received a friendly welcome and were served promptly with drinks, once our order was taken, Food was served quite quickly and was hot and delicious.

Pleasurable eating, nice atmosphere and the staff were extremely friendly. We had the 3 courses for just under £14 which is an early evening offer, it was delicious. Full marks all round.

Reliable as always. Friendly welcome and excellent service from this popular Guildford restaurant which was already buzzing at 12.00 on a wet Sunday morning. My roasted sea bass was delicious.

Bursting with customers, excellent food & selection of wine. Served by a lovely Sicilian Guy. Had a great time prior to going to the Theater.

A little disappointed at the way the bill was calculated- we had a mixture from the main menu and the special menu and ended up being overcharged by £10. However after speaking to the manager it was amended. Also I had left my glasses behind and when I went back for them the waitress who had served us was not particularly pleasant - guess it was because we had queried the bill. However, they did put a candle on the dessert as it was my guest’s birthday and for that I was grateful.

Delicious food and nice ambiance. Staff were very friendly . Shame we weren’t shown the specials menu until after our main course but otherwise no complaints.

We have lunch at Cote in Guildford regularly We enjoy the atmosphere, the staff are always pleasant, and the food is always good as well.

Lamb rump was lovely however i was very surprised to discover there was no mnt sauce when i asked for it. Yet they could serve minted peas. Doesnt make sense to me

I have been here many times so i of course do like it. Feel the service has been going down hill for a while. Had to ask 3 waiters over the space of 20 mins to pay for our bill, which we had been sitting on our table for 20 mins. Food wasn’t so good considering it was just eggs and smoked salmon. It looked rushed and sloppy.

We have been going to Cote Guildford for 10 years and its always consistently brilliant with service, food and atmosphere, its always an enjoyable experience

An excellent meal accompanied by a very pleasant Merlot in a very busy, light and bright restaurant. The Duck Confit in particular was superb - crisp on the outside and falling off the bone underneath. My only counter comment was the very small size of the table - it really was not big enough to serve lunch for two people satisfactorily. The chairs were very comfortable however..... and the price reasonable. I'll be back for more!

It was good. The service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the food. Can recommend the chicken. We have been coming here for a number of years and will come again. It is very convenient for an early dinner before the theatre (Yvonne Arnaud)

As always fabulous meal for my daughters birthday - excellent service - food was outstanding - waiting staff very attentive to our needs - will be back

Three amazing courses for £13.50!!! Can’t go wrong with that. Every course was amazing and great value for money I would go everyday if I could
