breakfast was not as hot as in other cote restaurants. Plate just warm. Sausage very pale on one side and I prefer a sausage to brown and well done. Service was great as usual.

Our waitress struggled slightly with English, but she was so polite and helpful. This more than made up for the late sides, which we were not charged for. The food was very good.

The food was good the waiter very good, we weren't hurried over our meal and the restaurant is very convenient for the theatre. The slight niggle was the glass of red wine which was a bit sharp for a merlot.

Went here for a Wednesday night with the girls and we all had the 3 courses for £13.50 each course was amazing and the service even better! We will be coming back every week!

Food and service good but it was very noisy. Made having a conversation difficult. Was good to leave for some peace. Not a relaxing environment. Would be good if menu was changed. Been the same for too long.

As usual prompt and efficient service, good food reasonably priced. Very consistent. Having said that a change of menu more frequently would go down well with regular customers I’m sure.

The steak frites were good as was the sea bass with a lovely sauce. Very good meal and good service. Profitoroles would have been better with just chocolate sauce as they prepare them in France.

Cote never disappoints for quick and friendly service and the request for a special table was met. The food was delicious and recommend the fixed price menu.

Cote in Guildford is a bright open restaurant with a lovely ambiance and friendly, helpful staff. The menu has a great range of choices whether you want a quick lunch or to linger over a relaxed dinner. It is perfect for dining with friends or family. It’s one of my favourites.

Great service, quick and efficient. Good selection of food and wine. Lovely atmosphere. friendly staff, tables always cleared quickly when someone leaves, you don't sit looking at empty dishes on other table.

Very good food and friendly service. We wanted a leisurely meal and we were not rushed at all. Mussels were great and chicken so tender.

Nice atmosphere in a busy restaurant. Helpful smiling members of staff. Food good value for the money. Room for some improvement with the cooking. Mussels cooked for too long resulting in being too small in the shell. minute steak grey throughout. Hotter quicker cooking would have provided better result. But all very tasty and enjoyable overall.

The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch which started with complimentary kir royales. The fixed menu was varied and inviting. Brasserie food such as eggs florentine and croque monsieur were welcome and tasty. The staff were friendly and efficient. Despite being a Monday lunchtime the restaurant was packed. The total cost was very reasonable. Altogether a pleasurable experience.

Friendly staff, good service. Early evening menu was good value. Enjoyed the soup and bread, the haddock parmentier was a well put together dish (but too salty for my taste) and who couldn't resist warm apple crumble. Be nice if there was an ale as well as "French" lagers. Will visit again.

We love this restaurant! It's warm and inviting, with a flavour of France, but unpretentious, with tasty food always well cooked and a nice choice of wines and other drinks. The staff are wonderful - always welcoming and attentive. It's often busy, but what do you expect at a great venue!

Good vegetarian and gluten free choices with separate menus available. Specific care taken with gluten free service much appreciated. Good and prompt service for pre theatre meal.

Came here for lunch and chose the 3 course special menu. All courses very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and efficient. Was served complimentary Kir Royale because it was my birthday which was a lovely treat!

Great food as usual. This is my fifth visit this year which speaks for itself. The set day time menu is great value and changes every month. One small gripe, was that my side didn’t arrive with meal and had to remind twice. I mentioned to manager who was very apologetic and fended the cost of the side and gave us complimentary coffees, which makes a very welcome change from the indifference you find in some other restaurant chains. Keep up the great work and see you next month!

It would have been a 6 except that the Guildford Cote is rather noisy because the tables are small and close together. The waiting staff were particularly friendly and willing to talk.

Our meal was delicious and the staff were very attentive. I will no doubt choose Cote next time I dine out, either in Guildford or in Farnham.u

Excellent always good service and quality food would recommend to any one who hasn't been to go you won't be disappointed. Cheered up a dreary rainy day

Excellent meal as always - this time the service we received was particularly good. The only problem with the place is that it can be very noisy, fortunately we were by a window so were on the edge of the noise

Another excellent evening at Cote. The food was excellent, service was efficient and friendly and, as usual good atmosphere. We regularly meet friends here and are never disappointed.

Table of four on a busy Saturday evening at 8.30pm. It was a birthday celebration and a first visit to Cote.All agreed one of the best meals eaten out in a long time , delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the waiter/waitress were friendly with a great sense of humour. There was a lovely ambience in the restaurant and the lighting is just perfect. It was a memorable evening and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

The meal and service today were excellent despite being very busy but it was extremely noisy and at times difficult to hold a conversation .

Rapid service and good price for meal started before 6:30. Wine selection include some good wines by the glass - good as some of the party were driving!

Usually visit the Farnham Cote, found Guildford nearly but not quite as good due mostly to the fact that the staff did not seem as attentive. The food too was a little below par as compared with Farnham branch.

The atmosphere and food was great, the 3 course menu is as always, an amazing value. My Sea Bass was wonderful. Would have been higher but 1) service was a bit sparse towards the end of the meal and 2) my dessert with crème fraiche had, somewhat ironically, gone off. They promptly replaced it but did respond a bit as if I didn’t know what crème fraîche was supposed to taste like (presumably not like sour yogurt?)

Excellent food and service. Despite being fully booked no delay in ordering or delivery of food. Felt sorry for those who hadn’t booked and had to look elsewhere.

Lovely restaurant in the centre of Guildford. Always has a buzz. The food was up to its usual standard and although very busy, the waiters were very attentive.

I have never been disappointed at Cote. Menu is interesting , beautifully cooked and service always excellent. A regular place for myself and siblings to meet up. Booking online is easy.
