Côte Guildford

Of all the many chains there are, cote is probably the best. Service always good, and food not startlingly innovative but to a good standard. Breton fish stew is one of my favourites. Good lively atmosphere always busy and bustling but space between the tables!

Love the menu, always consistent whichever branch you eat at. Renton fish stew always a winner with the Pain Perdue to finish, what could be better.

Excellent meal. Varied menu with nice choice of specials. Great atmosphere and staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back to this restaurant. Kids enjoyed too.

Food absolutely excellent as usual , and lovely round table . Service overall good . Would normally give full marks but on this occasion we had to keep asking for table water, not a huge issue but knocked 1/2 point off !

We had a family meal here on a busy Friday night. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Two of us are vegans and we were delighted to be offered a choice of 3 main dishes which they said could be made vegan for us.

Chicken was over cooked and dry and side green salad had far too much vinegary dressing. Chocolate Mousse was light and delicious and Coffee full flavoured... but too long wait between courses!

We enjoyed a delicious (French) breakfast and very good coffee at Cote Bistro today. The staff were friendly and looked after us very well. so we will certainly visit this cafe again!

Very indifferent service, nothing personal about anything. No one said goodbye , thank you and service was rather slow. Steak special was tough and look anaemic and unappetising. Sea bream lovely.

Always excellent if a little noisy! Early Bird menu superb. Have been taking advantage of this for years and never once been disappointed. The creme caramel is just about as good as it gets😊

I often choose Cote when going out for breakfast as it is good food, great coffee and the staff are always very polite and provide good service.

I treated a friend to lunch for a birthday celebration it was lovely experience, excellent service food very nicely presented a pleasant experience thank you.

I love Cote but the restaurant was very busy and therefore service not quite as good as usual. However, the food remained outstanding! And the waiting staff extremely friendly as always. The ambience wasn't so good today in that the place was so noisy - tables too close together and ceiling too low - difficult to hold a conversation!

Great service as always. The staff know just how to look after you without being intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious. The dishes arrived quickly and yet we never felt as if anything was rushed. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance which is friendly,warm and welcoming. They get the lighting just right and really seem to care that you have a pleasant dining experience. We will return.

Having been to the Cote many times some things never change. The staff are always very pleasant and the food is excellent. In my opinion it is the best restaurant in Guildford.

Consistently excellent food at Cote. Great service even in a busy and buzzing restaurant. Delicious meals for all our group today. Sea bream and steak frites really delicious and excellent value for money.

Excellent service, very good value for money, good range on special menu before 7pm. Not noisy as sitting at front of restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

It was Excellent fast service and good food reasonably priced

Four of us went to Cote last week to celebrate my birthday. They had sent me an email offering free Kir Royales and they were delicious. Guildford Cote is our favourite as it is always excellent. Thank you to the manager and staff for some excellent meals.

We both opted for two courses from the Lunch Menu. We were not disappointed. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the bill very reasonable.

The food is excellent and the atmosphere vibrant. Unfortunately, the tables are packed in as close as possible for optimum space usage and so it feels crowded and loud.

Excellent friendly service even at a very busy lunchtime. Gave us complimentary Kir Royales - it was our wedding anniversary. The special of char grilled lamb chops was first class. Cannot fault - recommended without hesitation.

Good service as ever in Guildford, and food generally very good. My “minute” steak a bit over cooked but they insisted on replacing it and did so perfectly in quick time.

We have used 6 of the “local” Cote Restaurants and always found everything always of a very high standard, but the Guildford Restaurant was of a particularly high standard especially the staff. They all greeted you with a smile and very professional in all of their service. I would strongly recommend Cote in Guildford to anyone who hasn’t tried it, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful cooked breakfast. Very tasty generous portions and at a reasonable price as well. The staff were very attentive as per usual. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely meal at cote again. Only been here 3 times but food is always fantastic and great gluten free menu! Steak is cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice rib eye steak. Creme caramel first class as usual. Also liked the endive and rockfort salad. Lovely creamed spinach side. Probably visit again sometime.

This restaurant is always reliable with excellent service, good food and well priced - particularly the set menu. The Pain Perdu dessert in particular is very highly recommended.

Food was good and the service friendly. However, for four people we were given a small round table (and we were pre-booked so not a walk in) which only just managed to hold all our glasses and wine bottle without the hassle that came when our food arrived and with extra side dishes. Maybe you could give this some thought and also think about the size of your crockery and whether this will fit a table of four with glasses?! Also, felt a bit rushed at the beginning when ordering and at the end of the meal as if the staff were trying to get rid of us (this has happened on previous occasions as well).

The food is always good, though the service was perhaps a little slow this evening. Won't stop me from going back again and again! I wish I had an excuse to go more often..

Took my daughter to Cote Guildford today, as I have undertaken on several previous occassions and we both throughly enjoyed our meal there. We both chose from the 2-3 fixed course menu and had a bottle of muscadet to accompany the food. The resturant was near full when we dined, but this did not adversly affect the service, which was both friendly and efficient. We both look forward to the next time that we visit.

We had the the special lunch menu which was just perfect. Sea Bass followed by a delicious and delicate apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. Service was excellent and the environment was comfortable, warm and relaxing.

We've been here so many times over the years and always found it to be very good. The staff are always very efficient and friendly. The menu is varied and the children's menu has a very nice selection and is good value. Our grandchildren always love going to Cote in Guildford and so I would highly recommend it for both adults and children.

Steak slightly overdone but couldn’t be more apologetic - I didn’t opt for a replacement and it was still very nice. Lovely experience overall. Would visit again! Great attention to the guests from the waiting staff.

Love Cote but I did not eat this time !! 2 plates of moules both bad! Apparently new supplier and they were having problems with the batch sent. But we will return as I have had many other very good meals

We had a very good meal, very fair price, very good service and enjoyed ourselves. My friend enjoyed her whitebait and her chicken and I enjoyed my saucisse de toulouse aux lentils de puy. Very good

The service was fantastic despite the restaurant being very busy. The sea bass was delicious and the chocolate fondant to die for. Ten out of ten from me.
