Food great although some items unavailable meaning had to have chips rather than potatoes and the advertised January offer discount was not applied despite asking

As usual a very pleasant experience!! Always reliable and fun. Delightful staff!! Delicious Prawn Gratinee followed by perfect Duck... Will of course return very soon..

Excellent service as always . Food great . Well presented and delicious . My frustration with Cote is that their menu is very predictable . The New Years Eve food choice was the same as last year . Would encourage them to get more creative with their menu .

Good meal and ambience but wine costing more than half the value of the main dish was a bit excessive. Recommend you check before ordering.

Great service. Very welcoming. Lovely fresh cooked food. Made to feel special. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Forgot to ask for Soya milk for my daughter, once requested it was there in a flash.

We ordered the Full English Breakfast which included toast and preserves. The food arrived very promptly and was very nice and importantly hot. Would definitely have again.

Lovely brunch as always. Efficient and courteous service. Formulae breakfast is good value. Restaurant wasn't too busy so noise levels were good. It can get noisy when busy. We will go again.

My wife and I were there for New Years Evee. Had a great time, tasty food, excellent service. A great way to ring in the New Year!

Friendly helpful staff. Very welcoming. We were pre theatre so didn’t have a lot of time but they were quick to take our order and the food arrived giving us plenty of time.

The restaurant is always quite noisy because of coffee making and crashing of cutlery and crockery.

Very pleasant and enthusiastic staff , food well cooked and served quickly , however the burger was small with a minuscule amount of cheese which we had to pay extra for , no garnish in the burger just a small amount of lettuce , cucumber , gherkins and tomato on the side . Chips delicious ! Steak frites good as always

We have visited Cote Guildford before but this visit really was superb. We told the waitress that we were going to the theatre at 19:00 and she ensured that all of our food and drinks were delivered in plenty of time for us to make the short walk to the theatre. All of the food was excellent but an especial mention must go the Cassoulet do Toulouse. It was just like I had tasted in in Toulouse a few years ago. I suspect that there are French chefs back there somewhere. The service was well above our expectations and we were well catered for in all respects. The service was even more impressive when we remember that all five of us had a different main course. We were seated near the bar area and the attention that all staff paid to keeping the work surfaces clean was most commendable. This was not just one member of staff but three that I noted. Also of note was the provision of proper paper towels on the toilets. None of your despicable hot air driers here - real towels! It is such attention to detail that makes me want to come back here again and again. The one downside was the Group's practice of adding on the gartuity automatically. I always tip for good service but I want to do it personally. In this instance I would of given more that the 12.5% that was added on as the service was so good but instead I left it as it was. The gratuity was optional but once it is on the bill it is a hassle to get it removed. More and more restaurants are doing it but I abhor as an industry practice.

An atypical Cote, tucked away in a period building and without the brand interior and external canopy. The interior made the most of the architecture, maintaining cosy seating areas while accommodating a large number of people without a high noise level. The food was the same as you get at any Cote, reliable "French" standards. The wine list was a bit unimaginative.

The food was excellent as always, but the service was very poor. There were 4 of us, we had to ask for a staff member to come over before we got either any dessert or the bill. I honestly think we could have got up and left and they wouldn't have noticed!

Top quality food, good service, very relaxed. 'Best black pudding and veggie sausages' and everything well cooked. Thank you. Look forward to the next time.

Fabulous breakfast as always served by very friendly welcoming staff. Great value for money, bearing in mind that for £10.50 plus gratuity we got a full English with toast, coffee and orange juice

The Guildford branch is always run very well and the food is always a high standard.We usually book breakfast as it is very popular on the weekends.

Food was lovely but low ceiling in a busy restaurant made it too noisy to enjoy the eating breakfast out experience. We finished and left because we couldn’t hear ourselves talk

The food was up to the usual standard but we had to wait a while for main course to be served. When staff were told we had a deadline things speeded up

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Cote Guildford. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was up to the usual high standard with good portions.

Another well priced and very tasty meal. So nice to have a healthy alternative to the pizza and pasta offers which makes Cote a welcome addition to the high street.

Super birthday brunch at Cote in Guildford. Excellent service and delicious hot food. Overall very good value for money with a comprehensive brunch menu and later ordering on Sunday.

Far more relaxed than neighbours and much wider selection of menus. Could not be faulted. In central Guildford it is without challenge. Well done all round.

A particularly pleasant meal just before Yuletide. Despite the usual din from other diners, the menu worked well for us, even though we are dairy intolerant.

Another excellent brunch from Cotes, swiftly served, perfectly cooked,. They have never failed to provide me with an enjoyable experience at a very reasonable price.

So noisy, lots of Christmas parties in. Couldn’t hear my friend talk! I appreciate that people just want to have fun but it would have been nice to be warned there was a huge group booking. Has not seen my friend for a long time and our catch up was spoilt as we couldn’t hear each other. We would have gone elsewhere.

My favourite restaurant, great food, wonderful service and staff all at a reasonable price. What's not to love. In the centre of Guildford, easy parking or bussing. Brilliant!

Warm welcome at a very busy restaurant , so glad we had booked. Variety of menu's all explained by attentive waiter. Order taken and first course arrived within 5 minutes, an excellent soup. Main also good and served piping hot again only a short wait. Desert good and full of flavour. Have used this chain a number of times before and will use again. Overall a pleasant experience in a pleasant atmosphere ( some Christmas groups eating). Throughout staff kept a good overview of tables and were always on hand if needed. Would certainly recommend Cote Guildford.

Lovely time at Cotes again. Early eve menu is such good value. Had delicious Mussels and coq au vin. They were super busy because it was packed with Christmas parties, but waitress was still cheerful and attentive.

Always excellent. Lovely helpful staff and they now have a gluten free menu. Had a lovely time with my friend. I think we were there for about 5 hours!

Lovely pre Christmas brunch with friends. Staff were very pleasant and service was quick. Good to be able to chat with friends while enjoying the food and be able to hear the conversation...something that is difficult in a lot of places now.

As usual the food was excellent. I took with me two friends who had not ever been to a Cote and they were impressed and said they would go to a Cote restaurant again. My only criticism was that it was very noisy probably because of Christmas trade.

Always fabulous - every time we have been has been great and we are regular visitors. Great place and to be recommended for their food and customer service.

Always consistently good. Great value brunch of cooked breakfast (no problem with swapping items of your choice), juice and coffee for £10.50. Served with friendly efficiency. Great.

Great atmosphere at this restaurant. Good menu selection and they are alway happy to make changes (eg extra bacon instead of black pudding). It gets a regular visit from us!
