Côte Guildford

This was my second visit in a few days to enjoy the excellent brunch at Cote. I can recommend both the full English and the vegetarian option. It’s always such good value that you can justify repeat visits.

Delicious food and overall an enjoyable lunch. Only downsides were the lack of vegan options. Also the service was attentive and efficient whilst the restaurant was busy, but we seemed to be forgotten about as it became quieter. Overall, I would recommend for non-vegans.

Cote is my favourite haunt for a decent breakfast. The ingredients are fresh and well cooked, whilst the staff are attentive. And it’s great value.

Early eve menu is such good value and offers more choice than similar deals in other restaurants. Usually have mussels of some kind which o always enjoy.

Another excellent breakfast at Cote in Guildford. The service as always was friendly, professional and quick. The team always check they all is well and you have what is required, without being obtrusive. Undoubtedly, the best breakfast in Guildford.

Once again Cote Brasserie we’re very welcoming and went out of the way to satisfy us as customers - even with a soup that was not on the menu. A heat meal!

Not been to this branch of Cote before. A building with character, which always helps. Very pleasant helpful staff who very patiently came back three or four times before we got around to ordering. Excellent ribeye steak, cooked perfectly, rare. The espresso was good too!

Great French food and drink in a friendly atmosphere. I took the February specials, having chosen Cote after reading in one of their regular emails to me that boudin noir - a favourite of mine - was on the menu. I was not disappointed. And I hadn't had swordfish for years and it was just as succulent as ever. My companion ordered her main course lamb red and that's how it came. The red cote du Rhone wasn't the one on the wine list, but the same price and was very drinkable. Our servers were really charming. The mix of diners - by age, sex, ethnicity - was very pleasing to see.

We had lunch at Cote on Sunday. The restaurant was quite busy and we asked to be seated at the back, as it is usually a bit quieter there. The staff is always friendly, and our orders were taken promptly. The service was excellent, as we didn't have to wait long at all to get our meals. We both ordered the Cote burger and they were both excellent. I rate the fries at Cote as the best in the area. The hamburger patty was delicious and the quality was obvious. The bacon was cooked perfectly, neither over- nor under-done. The bun was toasted and we always enjoy the mini gherkins. Five star experience all the way through!

Often go for early supper after work when meeting friends - great atmosphere and, on the whole, good service

My lunch at Cote was as enjoyable as ever. Good food, attentive waiting staff and a lively atmosphere - if a little noisy at times.

On this occasion I met a friend / business partner for a brief business lunch. The prix fixe was excellent value and the quality of food and service was as one would expect. An enjoyable experience all round.

I almost always enjoy Côte and this was no exception. My only slight criticism of the Guildford restaurant is that the tables are quite close together which can result in one feeling that you’re having lunch/dinner with people who you are not actually with. The noise levels are also prone to getting a little too loud when it’s particularly busy. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience

Most Cote restaurants I have visited have been good, and this one was no exception. The service a little on the slow side, which was strange, as they were not busy, but otherwise everything was excellent.

A wide and varied menu for both vegetarian and gluten free. Good pre theatre service with no last minute rush to finish meal in time.

Of all the chains it is one of the best and the food is great. The service at Guildford is always a bit sloppy though. We eat there a lot and it has become a running theme now - we guess how many things they will forget or get wrong. It’s usually at least 3.

Service good. Menu too restricted. Noisy other customers did not help. Not everybody wants lighting dimmed so they can hardly read the menu. Fish pie very salty - dangerous to some customers with blood pressure problems

We usually visit and dine in Guildford once or twice a month. If we dine, we always go to Cote because we are never disappointed. This time was no exception. Great food, good value and excellent service. We had the ‘prestige set menu’. It was hard to choose from the great items on offer. We both had the pork main course and would highly recommend it. Really looking forward to our next visit.

Despite being very busy the service was excellent. Food arrived quickly but tasted freshly cooked and was the right temperature. The background noise- or lack of it- meant conversation around the table was easy.

I had a lovely evening with my Father in Cote, Guildford. The food and service were amazing as always. Also, the restaurant itself has a nice feel to it and makes for a cozy environment.

Had a lovely birthday breakfast with my mum. The food was excellent and the service was good and the staff were friendly. Will definitely be returning very soon.

Service and food (Moules mariniere, Chicken parfait starters, steak frites and salad as mains, and coupe noire and creme caramel as deserts) was good. Our only reservation was that the minute steak was a little tough and lacking in taste.

Another amazing meal - this time for a celebratory breakfast! The best full English breakfast - puts the competition to shame. Definitely will be returning.
