Côte Guildford

We had a lovely meal with the good service that we know that we will receive from Cote.

Lovely food and excellent service. Only criticism is that mains came just 10 minutes after starters were finished so felt a bit rushed and not as hungry!

Ours waitress was very friendly and professional. The main courses were very nice too. However, the pancakes, ,which from the description sounded like Crepe Suzette, were not very good.

A lovely Pre Theatre meal, will do it again soon

We eat regularly at Cote in Guildford. Today we were a group of four and had a fabulous 3 course lunch from their set lunch menu with a drink and a coffee at the end of the meal; all for just under £25 per head, including the fully justified added gratuity. All the dishes were very well cooked and presented and the staff were friendly as always even though they are run off their feet in this very busy restaurant.

Very enjoyable lunch, courteous staff who were very friendly. We especially liked Adil who looked after us extremely well.

mostly very enjoyable except when the bill came that included nearly £20 for 4 'supposedly free' birthday Kir Royale. It was taken off when we queried it plus a complimentary wine but the performance left a bad taste . Fortunately we were with good friends who didn't mind us querying the bill but had they been otherwise it could have been embarrassing. It is a bit suspicious that this charge was embedded amongst others things on the bill, so was not obvious, although it was served o us as we were seated without us even asking. So, although the food was lovely and the service great, check your bill when it arrives.

The service was excellent. The food was good - some was very good and some was Just below average or just ok. Sea bass, steak and duck breast main courses were very good. Mushroom ravioli was not good - it was too undercooked. Calamari for starters was below average - too greasy and not as good as they could have been. Onion soup was delicious and so was the steak tartare and prawn gratinee for starters. Atmosphere was good. Not too noisy but just enough conversation about to make the ambience just right. The waiting times between courses was just right. Value for money was ok. Overall enjoyed it for a birthday celebration.

Food and service consistently good. The only negative was the smell of cannabis from outside, which was nothing to do with the restaurant.

Compliments to the chef. The fish is always good but today it was exceptional!

The tables are too close together. Restaurant was busy but you feel on top of each other. Can hear everyone’s conversations. Food was disappointingly average.

We have been regular diners- almost weekly over a number of years. The Guildford Cote is our favourite. Food of a high standard and consistent. Ambience great Staff friendly and attentive. No complaints!

All in all a perfect evening. Delicious, complimentary cocktails, a dinner to exceed all expectations with lovely wines to go with, desserts as well, with all the food from the January Specials. Could not have been better! The Manager and waiting staff are simply lovely. Looking forward already to the next visit.

A brilliant evening. Lovely food. Excellent staff, with lots of attention to detail. Catered for one of our guests who had an allergy with care, and consideration. I cannot praise the staff enough. 10/10

On arrival myself and my mother were warmly greeted. We were given a great table. All the staff were polite and very friendly. Excellent food and service.

The sardines as a starter were very small. Main courses were very good. Service was good but the restaurant was not warm.

Always friendly, always good value. Only disappointment was that the particular dish we fancied was sold out but the alternative was almost as good.

Good experience as ever at Cote. Only problem -very rare - soup not hot enough had to be changed.

I asked for the soup to be hot , waitress wrote it down in triplicate ! But it arrived cold as did the soup of 2 other people in our party . It ruined the meal , a delay whilst we waited for it to be returned and those who were not eating starters had over 30 minutes delay as a result before the main course . Restaurant should have offered free coffee at least they offered nothing , just put your service charge on the bill which whilst it may be your normal practice was far from appropriate in the circumstances

We have been regular diners here at Cote Guildford for well over 5 or 6 years. The food is consistently excellent. The atmosphere great and the staff attentive - cannot fault it.

One of our favourite Cotes. The food was excellent as usual and the staff friendly. It was a very busy Sunday morning and the staff were hard pressed to serve everyone so we were kept waiting longer than usual to be served and between course. Otherwise we were very satisfied with our experience.

Food was very good however service was slow. After main course was taken away, the waiter forgot about us and we were not offered a dessert. We complained and were given a free coffee.
