Côte Guildford

Everything was perfect until the bill arrived. I’d had the full English breakfast package including fresh orange juice and coffee. The bill came to £11.81 but included a 12.5% service charge. I appreciate the charge is optional, but I’d not checked the bill so hadn’t realised it was already included. My breakfast was actually £10.50 and I was going to leave a £2.50 tip, but was a little annoyed that you’d taken it anyway, that there’s just left the tip as it was for £1.31.

Excellent in every way, staff were so lovely, we come here regularly and are never disappointed. No one cooks a poached egg like Cote! Thank you

As a frequent theatregoer my friend and I more often than not choose a Cote Brasserie wherever we are visiting. This was our first visit to the Guildford Cote and I can only say we were absolutely delighted; I would go so far as to say it's one of their best!!! Extremely prompt service on arrival, very pleasant staff and absolutely excellent food. A wonderful advertisement for their restaurant is that the place was packed out. We know we have other visits this year to Guildford and will look forward to booking the Cote every time. Mary Goodman

Food was good but our waitress service was exceptional. She was run off her feet, but she was happy and efficient . She didn't forget anything we asked for. So Impressed !

As expected high standards of food and service thank you

It was not quite as good as usual. Starters were fine however the two main courses felt as if they’ve been sitting on the hot plate for too long plates came as extremely hot and so everything was slightly dried out. The profiteroles again came on a very hot plate so ice cream inside had melted and there was a distinct lack of chocolate sauce. Service however was as good as usual.

It was ok... food is dry and they rush the food out to you so quickly. Also they take % for tips. Never agreed with this way, I want to tip for the service not have it taken.. and it was £6 added to the bill.

The vegetarian breakfast is so good; had it on Thursday and came back three days later to have it again. The food all came out really quickly (handy with three children at the table) and the waiters were very attentive. Excellent experience throughout, thank you.

Excellent service, good food. Shame we couldnt stay longer and enjoy desserts but unfortunately due to traffic causing a delayed start we needed to leave promptly for the theatre. Will hopefully revisit soon

Excellent, friendly service and high quality food! Great atmosphere and lovely food. I think there should be a house wine that is more reasonable in cost for those who want it.

My third time of eating here before or after going to the theatre. Always good food and friendly, attentive staff. The early evening or weekend menu is very good value. Always busy so tends to be rather noisy for those of us who have difficulty hearing with background noise.

An excellent meal as always. Extensive menu and very good value for money. The restaurant was very busy, however this didn’t inhibit the great service which is always outstanding at Cote Guildford. We will be back again soon.
