Côte Guildford

My dining experience yesterday was not good. The calamari was greasy, the steak was far too peppery and the waiter dropped my fries and had to get another portion from the kitchen.

Absolutely wonderful food, we had the fish stew and fish permentier, great friendly service, it’s our favourite restaurant in Guildford,always use before going to the theatre

Friendly staff , the food was delicious & cooked beautifully & the gin cocktail was very very enjoyable! The atmosphere was lovely, Cote is always consistently good . A great place to eat!

Yet another fantastic meal at Cote in Guildford. Three of us ate from their Prestige and Set menus and not only was the food fabulous but for 3 courses, what great value for money. A lot of people moan about the 12 1/2 % service charge automatically added to the bill but trust me, you always get exceptional service to justify this charge. The staff are always very courteous and friendly and the service is prompt even when they are fully booked.

Fantastic staff, always welcoming and efficient . Cuisine is always superb. Cote Guildford has become a firm favourite. Service is always great. Orders are completed quickly and efficiently with a friendly ambience. Totally brilliant

Most enjoyable experience all round. We were made very welcome on our arrival and offered a choice of the table available. Our waiter was excellent just the right level of friendliness and attentiveness. The food was very good being attractively presented and cooked perfectly. The wine we chose was recommended by our waiter and was good and value for money. We are irregular visitors and have always found this restaurant to be good however after our last visit we will not leave it very long before we return.

Top drawer as always. The food is brilliant, and we were well looked after. Staff are very attentive and it is consistently a great restaurant experience.

Staff great. Food salty and produced without care. Chef is a cook who clearly follows a poorly produced mass recipe. I am in the f&b industry. This is clear. A cook who calls himself an accomplished chef and a brigade of assistants. The front of house saved the day.

Amazing food and amazing service. The price is very reasonable for the quality of food and includes service charges. However if you can go at an off peak time because it does get busy and loud due to its popularity.

Love this place, always make you feel welcome and very special whatever the occasion. The staff couldn't be lovelier and the food is divine. My go to place for a wonderful meal.

bad service, bad food and some sent back to kitchen. needs to improve big time before any return. restaurant was less than half full. I can see why.

Best tasting and best value breakfast in Guildford by a country mile. Service friendly and efficient as always. Worth booking ahead for breakfast especially at weekends as it gets busy around 9:30 - 10:00. New "prestige" menus for lunch and dinner look tempting. Haven't tried them yet but will do so very soon.

Fab meal and wonderful customer service. Beautiful flavours and generous portion sizes. Service was spot on, didn’t feel rushed but still attentive.

An excellent experience. G&T was delicious, calamari perfectly cooked and the mains arrived looking delicious, which they were. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The menu choice was extensive. Only complaint was we had no room for dessert!

Another very tasty meal, with great service and relaxed atmosphere. We loved our steaks and the kids ate up all their food, which isn’t always the case! Always worth the money.

Good food, excellent starter although my main of sea bass with toasted hazelnuts, croutons and salad was tasty but rather too crunchy and slightly difficult to eat. Good service, good choice of food and good quality

I have been for dinner several times now and I can honestly say that the staff are fantastic and very attentitive and the food is amazing! Would recommend the experience to anyone, you wont be disappointed.

Fantastic and professional service by Cote Guildford today. We had all the time to pick off the menu and the food was just brilliant.

We (a party of 4/5) regularly enjoy pre theatre meals on the 2/3 course menu. Normally this is a pleasant unrushed meal but tonight in spite of hard working staff and 75 minutes to eat 2 courses we only had 5 minutes to eat the dessert. Trying to attract staff attention and having to continually watch the time before the curtain went up was not conducive to the relaxed meal that we have become used to in several branches of Bistro Cote - this impacted on the evening. The food was up to usual Cote Bistro standard but the staff although doing their best were clearly stressed and unable to process the orders in good time. If the staff have been cut back to his level then theatre goesrs will return to the more conveiient Theatr Restaurant rather than being rushed or late - that will be a shame! John -Maxwell

Lovely brunch. Great food and lovely way to start weekend

A wonderful welcome from very friendly staff. A lovely menu with superb specials , we never have a problem finding something tasty to eat plus excellent wine at very reasonable prices. ✔

Excellent pre theatre meal . All the Staff were welcoming and food served was delicious , served in good time and very reasonably priced . I've eaten in various Côtes before now and never had a bad experience . I particularly like the fact that they also offer an earlier serving time than many other restaurants. When visiting towns for the day or weekend and everything shuts at 5 or 5 :30 but you might want to enjoy a pleasant sit down meal before a show starts at 7 then Côte offers a tasty menu at reasonable prices and in very pleasant surroundings .

The meal was excellent,looked very good and tasted even better,the staff were very friendly and helpful,the restaurant was busy but the service was still excellent. Would recommend this restaurant

We always enjoy good food at Cote, and this lunch was no exception. The restaurant was busy, but our reservation brought us a table for two immediately, and we drank our delicious, and complimentary, St Germain G&T's while waiting for mussels and steak. The sixth star has been withheld because our table was in a busy and rather noisy location, but the restaurant was too busy to ask for an alternative.

We visited Cote for my granddaughter's birthday, it's her favourite place to eat. The food was exceptional and the staff made it special for her.

Well up to standard ,guildford is one of the best Cote we have visited , Very busy ,dynamic atmosphere ,great staff and service ,food quality and value for money excellent .we use this branch on a regular basis so hope they maintain the current standard
