Cote is always reliable. The food is excellent quality and well cooked. It has a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are attentive and friendly. What’s not to like?

Attentive and professional staff, great venue and excellent food, Cote seem to be able to provide a first class experience but at a reasonable price. We will return.

Staff were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us with our 2yr old. Staff in core guildford are by far the best for customer service!

Excellent food with great service and very reasonable prices. The restaurant was nearly full at lunch time, indicating how popular it is, so probably best to book. One to visit again!

The rhubarb cocktail was a delicious aperitif! The 'in season' fresh asparagus was light and tender and the 2 main courses were well cooked and presented. Extremely good value and service. Thank you Cote!

As always Guildford Cote excels! The food is lovely and the service and staff are equally lovely! So polite and helpful. Our waiter, Andreo, is such a lovely guy, and we love that he tries teaching the kids Italian. Always cater for my Celiac Disease and the gluten free menu is the best around! Highly recommended. Delicious food, good value set menus, efficient staff. I particularly loved my moules marinieres and creme caramel, and the rest of the family singled out the calamari and chocolate mousse for praise. No surprise that this restaurant is usually packed when I walk past!

Good and varied menu. We went for the premium menu rather than the basic theatre menu as we have found portions for meals on the basic menu rather small. Well looked after by our waiter who was very knowledgeable about the various dishes.

A first-class lunch. Thank you to all the staff who made our experience so enjoyable. Definitely want to return soon! Please keep providing great food for those who are gluten and dairy free.

As well as as last night I also visited the Guildford restaurant on Saturday night and ordered the Beef Bourguignon. Having ordered this meal on previous occasions I felt the quantity of food had been reduced so not my usual satisfied self!. Whether this was a one off I’m not sure but felt I couldn’t complain as the meal could have been taken away with my partner eating alone.

Efficient friendly service with good atmosphere. Third time we've been here (we are not local and live in north London) and it never lets us down. Thoroughly recommended.

I love cote. Lively atmosphere. Friendly staff and good food. Took a friend who had not been before and she loved it. Shared charcuterie. I had fish pie and she loved her butternut squash risotto.

Excellent. Made to feel so welcome after we had a very stressful journey to get there. The service was brilliant and we were able to get to the theatre in time. The food was of a very high standard and presentation excellent. We shall be back again and our guest loved it and is definitely a convert and will visits Cote again Diana

Restaurant was very busy but nevertheless service was smooth and slick - we only wanted a quick lunch so just had one course - I had the chicken salad with walnuts which was very tasty and plenty for me.

Been back twice for the last week because always love the food there and is good value for money. But find the service has gone right down hill. The staffs on both times were seems to ignore us on purpose and not friendly at all which were very disappointed since we have enjoyed going there since the restaurant opened because of its food and good service. I don’t want to stop going there because the staffs are not so nice anymore. Definitely I was not happy to pay the service charge for some of the attitude.

A delicious meal served by very friendly and efficient staff . Extensive choice of meals and offers available , our meal was hot ,well cooked and very tasty . My only minor issue is the coffee needs to be hotter .

As always a wonderful experience. Food was fantastic and service first class. We all had a great evening taking advantage of the offers and complimentary offers.

I really enjoyed Cote Guildford. Lovely sea bass main and apple tart pud. Good service. A nice place to meet a friend for lunch.

Service and food were amazing as always. It was just very busy, loud and hot. Hence the 4 out of 6. Very selfish of me i know!

Not one of our best experiences at our favourite local Cote. Food and wine very good, which is what we have come to expect from this restaurant; it has always been one of the best places to eat in Guildford. Let down this time by excessive noise (surely something can be done about this) and very poor service. Normally there are staff all around the restaurant, doing what they do best, looking after the diners. This time we had to wait a long time for our order for food and drink to be taken. There may have been shortages of staff, but this is not acceptable with a restaurant chain the size of Cote. We will be back, but hope that our next experience is what we have always been used to.

We eat here regularly, Lovely meal fantastic food and great service,we would highly recommend this restaurant and always come here when we come to Guildford for a special occasion.

Fantastic food and even better service - Andre (?) was so friendly and helpful and really made my daughter feel special on her birthday. We have never had a bad experience at Cote and I think it is excellent value for money

We'd never been to this one before, as we usually go to the one in Horsham. We went for a day out for my mum's birthday. They recognised the note on the booking and sent over some complimentary kiri royales! The food was lovely and the service was great. It was very busy and quite noisy but a lovely atmosphere. Made for a lovely lunch in the middle of a lovely day!

Another delicious meal. Hot tiger prawn salad was warm and light and lamb rump tasty and tender. Friday night was very busy but very well managed with attentive and quick service. A most enjoyable evening

Delicious French and English breakfasts today. Excellent service as usual, accommodating changes to the menu and fabulous breakfast team in the kitchen cooking quickly and accurately.Beautifully cooked eggs in particular all served piping hot. The front of house team were very jolly for a Sunday morning and worked well together. Great start to the day!

Really great Mother's Day lunch in Guildford. Great Service and atmosphere. The meal selection was excellent and varied for all types of requirements. Can't wait to go back again.

Myself and a friend enjoyed our meal (2 courses £11.95) at Guildford Cote today and feel it was excellent value for money. The service was also good. Cote must be doing something right as the restaurants are always busy at lunchtime.

I had reserved a table for 7 people several days before, and then changed the number to 5 on the morning of the day of our visit. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and we were put on a table for four which was quite a squash, which was particularly irritating for me as my seat was in the thoroughfare and so my back was constantly being brushed past by customers and staff, especially as it was en route to the kitchen and toilets. The Manager was extremely apologetic and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne (it was my daughter's birthday) to compensate for the inconvenience. As a result of the way in which the Manager dealt with the situation I just accepted it rather than make a fuss, but it did spoil our evening. I regretted changing the booking as it worked against us in the end. The food, however, was up to standard as always.

Great food, very good service, buzzing atmosphere... a fab night! Only comment is the portion sizes were a bit big, but that’s being very picky!

I thought my experience was ok. You have to be prepared to get the staff's attention to get served in this restaurant otherwise you can be waiting a very long time.

Cote reminds me very much of a typical French Brasserie: with a ready availability of cosy two seater round tables and a convivial relaxing atmosphere. The food is very good, with a wide selection of dishes from which to choose - and the staff are just right; welcomingly friendly without being intrusive. Keep it up and we'll keep coming back.

Cote is consistently excellent. The atmosphere, the food and particularly, the service far outranks any other local restaurant.

We always enjoy Cote, usually for a big family brunch but of course yesterday was Valentine's so we gave it a try. I wouldn't say it was "cosy" but the food was great and the atmosphere happy and upbeat. You can't beat a good meal at Cote in the week.

Restaurant, Brasserie, pleasant atmosphere, attentive friendly staff serving great tasty french food in reasonable portions, and drinks selection, just 4 mins walk to the theatre and shops.

My husband and I had a five star experience in every way when we had an early 6.30 dinner before our theatre visit.
