Usual good food and service, I had French toast for breakfast, fruit is normally of a high quality but sometimes the Mango pieces can be rather hard and and unattractive. For me if they used raspberries instead of mango this would make breakfast perfect.
As usual, an enjoyable experience. We had Sunday lunch and found the food and the staff to be first rate. Always find something to suit on the menu.
Attentive staff from the minute we arrived. Menu varied, eggs benedict delicious followed by juicy Hunter's chicken and, of course, unrivalled creamed caramel. excellent value.
Good menu and service. Always enjoy the food. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and it was a shame they could decant it. My steak was a bit fatty but these are minor elements against a very enjoyable evening
As always an excellent experience at Côte! Calamari was delicious followed by the chicken from the Special menu. Tasty! Service was very good. Another successful meal at Côte.
The food is always very good and the service friendly and efficient. That's why we keep coming back and recommending it to all our friends.
Excellent food excellent service!! Never had a bad meal, Guildford is definitely the best Côte! Doesn't matter how busy it is there is nee a delay
I had my two friends from India with me. We all had different dishes and these were really tasty. The chef prepared very imaginative vegetarian dishes for my friends. I love the Cote at Guildford. The table staff are always so polite and helpful. Never bored with taking photos of customers.
Everything was as good as it usually is; we are regulars. One request would be to bring back the crab mayonnaise as a regular starter. From talking to the staff other diners would share this view.
Breakfast at cote! Plenty to choose from good quality and not too expensive.
Had lunch today. Food and service was excellent. Nice surroundings and will return for lunch another time. A well thought out gluten free menu for my coeliac Mother!
A fabulous meal with matching service. I had the set menu, mackerel and beetroot salad followed by pan fried hake with chickpea ratatouille and creme caramel for dessert. I'm not sure how they do this all for £13?
Lovely food lovely atmosphere staff are all very kind good value for money and a big selection on the menu to cater for all tastes. Would recommend to all
An excellent meal The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick! Even gave us complimentary kir royal for my friend's birthday :)
We always enjoy our visits to Cote. The food and service are excellent no matter which branch of the restaurant we have visited. Their lunch/early dinner menu is always interesting and particularly good value.
cote food in general is good and here is no exception. the same goes for the staff, who always seem to be smiling. what's not to like
It's just off the high street so easy to get to. Really great service, quick and good food. Normally go for breakfast and its great value for money. Nice place to relax.
Good Service & Good food - will visit again -would recommend to family and friends - thank you for a good experience - thank you
Great food. Very reasonable price for the quality, and friendly service. Would recommend the Guildford branch - always consistent cooking and good atmosphere & surroundings.
Food was excellent, and served exactly as I had requested, although because I was seated near the bar, it was a bit too noisy because of the regular banging of the milk frothing jug on the counter top.
Although the food was as good as Côte's usual standard everywhere we did not enjoy our visit to this Guildford restaurant . Taken to a small cramped table in a low ceilinged area next to a large party of 20 who were very noisy . Left for 10 minutes before getting drinks . We Should have requested ourselves a move to quieter area then , but equally the staff should have offered us that option on our arrival knowing that the large noisy party was there already. Food came quickly and was very nice , but we did not find the atmosphere good nor the staff particularly friendly . No sign of a manager at our table all evening to ask us how things were . Compared to other Cotes we have been to ( Dorking is great ) this was a big let down .
Excellent staff - really helpful and interested. Unfortunately food not up to usual Cote standard. My regular branches are Exeter and Highgate Village who both manage to be consistently excellent. Perhaps just an off night - it won't put me off returning.! Anne Foreman
