WE HAD A LOVELY EVENING, FOOD WAS VERY GOOD , SERVICE WAS EXCELENT.WE SAT BY THE WINDOW AND HAD A VERY NICE VIEW OF THE CASTLE GARDENS.

2items from the menu were unavailable which was surprising as it was very early in the evening. Waiters stretched across us to serve the food.

Very good service and the food was excellent. Cote is very consistent. I have visited a number of their restaurants and they always deliver on both food and service at a reasonable price.

As ever; great service + great food = great times. Staff were happy to help with the wine, attentive but discreet. Food arrived promptly, and was lovely.

Great atmosphere, excellent food with good value for money. Extensive menu offering a wide range of food and also offering some good value menus. Will return.

Lovely food and service as usual at Cote Guildford, we were having a pre theatre meal. The mussels were delicious, the chicken a good, tasty portion. My husband had the white bait and it was very good, freshly cooked, then the sea bream which was beautifully presented and cooked but he wasn't that keen on the beans with it. The creme caramel and the crumble we're both excellent.

Nice atmosphere and good food. Service was just right. Busy even for a Tuesday so recommend you book in advance whatever day of the week.

I visit Cotê regularly and the breakfast menu is very good. The waiter forgot about my coffee, and I had to question why scrambled eggs or crocque monsieur are not considered a cooked breakfast, something I didn't pay attention to before.

Cote Guildford is just so consistent in quality of food and service - we will continue to regularly use - it is really amazing value.

Good food at reasonable prices. Friendly service. We use this chain a lot all over the south of England and their restaurants are reliably good. There standard menu and their specials give a variety of choice.

Super service, tasty food. Very busy Saturday evening so quite noisy- a table full of young women were a bit screechy and loud but peace reigned after they left! A lovely meal and a good experience

An enjoyable meal we had terrine and whitebait for starters, which we all enjoyed. For mains my friend had salad nicoise which was beautifully presented and tasted lovely, another friend had linguine and two of us had hunters chicken. All arrived piping hot and were very tasty

Delightful experience - busy atmosphere, food came promptly, very tasty. Only criticism was that the section we were in was very noisy, due to no carpet to absorb the sound.

Very quick service. Ideal for going to the theatre, and only 5 minutes walk away. Good choice of 'plate rapids' and 'price fixe' menu. Recommended.

Nice food and great service. Well situated just off the high street - perfect for shopping and lunch. Draft beer (to add to the 25cl bottles) would be a good option to add.

It is always a good experience eating at Cote in Guildford. We think it is one of the best Cote restaurants, with a nice ambience, friendly staff and good food.

Excellent value for money and good efficient service for a pre theatre meal. It is great that the set menu changes every month but thank goodness the dark chocolate pot is always there!

Lovely staff very warm welcome. Plenty of choice on the menu even the set menu, the food was very tasty and nice and hot, excellent service.

Food was as good as expected. Staff were very slow to attend and we were kept waiting for drinks, quite a busy evening at the restaurant though.

The food was good although a change of menu would make it a little more interesting. I was disappointed not to be able to have the linguine from the 'early' menu (I was quite happy to pay extra for it and it was only just past 7pm but apparently by then no longer available). The service was a little 'disinterested'. We've generally had very good experiences at this restaurant but this time it wasn't quite up to the usual standard. My husband settled the bill and had just had eye surgery, which was fairly obvious from his appearance, but this did not stop the server from suggesting to him that he did not need to add a tip as one had already been added! We did not spot this until the next day but fortunately when we telephoned the restaurant they were able to refund back to our card. After this visit we will probably try a different restaurant next time we visit Guildford.

Great food, excellent value and the service was spot on. Hope to be back soon. Best value for pre theatre but go anytime, very consistent, very good.

Cote at Guildford where we go quite often is always a friendly welcoming place to go for our pre-theatre meal. The food and service is always consistently above average.

Amazing place to every weekend with my son Alfie all the staff at Cote Guildford are amazing. Would highley recommended. Very family friendly and the food is served quickly and tasts amazing

Altogether a pretty good evening. Meal good, wine pleasant - I used to drink Sauvignon Blanc all the time but now prefer a number of other 'whites'. Service good, attentive, not at all pushy, everyone very pleasant. Well done!!
