Côte Guildford

Easy to book, excellent service and great tasting and good value food. My partner and I have never had a bad experience at a Côte restaurant.

Our early evening meal was very good and the service was prompt which was important to us as we had a theatre date. Next time it would be appreciated if we could have side plates with the starter of olives in oil with bread, They were provided after we requested them.

Fantastic early evening meal before going to the cinema with great service, good food and an excellent selection of wines. Well done Eve and her team

Really good food and service. I HATE "discretionary" service charges added. And I think it's the worst when it has already been added to the card machine total before its given to you. Ugly American practice.

Great food, not too expensive, brilliant service and great if you have a gluten allergy as there is a completely separate menu, would highly recommend and will definitely go back

Very nice atmosphere in Restaurant and staff particularly helpful and friendly. Food well presented and very tasty meal. We all four had a different meal and all were enjoyed. Finished with coffee and tea and the Bill was a pleasant surprise. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Enjoyed an excellent relaxed lunch with a friend. The service was good . Given time to make our selection from a wide choice on the menu. We were not hurried at any time during our lunch, just perfect.

We use this restaurant for ourselves and with friends and both the food and the service are consistently good. Also even when they are busy you never feel rushed.

As always a very consistent quality of food and service. The value for money of the early evening weekday menu is excellent. The a la carte is also good value.

Great experience made better by the friendly helpful staff. Good atmosphere and food is always excellent, it doesn't really feel like a chain restaurant. Was very busy and you can see why.

Delicious food efficiently served. The restaurant was attractively set out and the menu was very varied and not expensive. The waitress was attentive and polite.

Have eaten there several times , never disappointed , good food and amazing value. Only thing that spoilt today was rather chilly sitting in the window. Should have said something and asked for a move , so my own fault really.

The evening went very well from the moment we walked to the time we left.We had a window table which was nice and the food was excellent.

We visited Cote in Guildford after my daughter's graduation ceremony. We all chose the 3 course set lunch menu and the food came quickly and was of high quality. Service was discreet but friendly. We will certainly visit Cote again.

Sat next to the clearing and cofeee making station for brunch with friends . Very noisy when coffee machines were being used, which was every two minutes! Good food as always .

We had breakfast there. Amazing food and great service. Highly recommended. The place is at nice location near the castle. Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The food was top quality and very tasty. We all had different dishes and all were excellent. The service was veey good. Quite a busy restaurant. Not over priced but certainly not cheap.

First time I had their Breakfast Menu and it was not enjoyable, Bacon was dry and difficult to eat the Sausage was burnt and dry. Also the price was high compared to other restaurant breakfast. On the plus side the poached eggs and mushrooms were fine.

Lovely evening. Excellent wine (Pinot Blanc highly recommended). Lovely prawn starter with a lovely fish main which was beautifully cooked. Great service. Didn't feel rushed at all.

Great customer service and food was delicious as usual! Guildford Cote is spacious, staff is friendly, great place to have lunch or dinner. Menu specials vary, also great at suggesting alternatives in case of special dietary requirements.

The food was lovely. However there was not enough space to move around. Everywhere you turned was another body. We even saw the staff struggling to do their job. In addition to this we ordered our drinks which included a bottle of prosecco. This for some reason seemed to be an impossible task. The waiter has to tell us twice that is was coming in a sec. but in turn came around 10 mins after all our other drinks. It seemed as if the staff where all over the place. Struggling to cope with the volume of people.

The food is fabulous and the service is great. Their 2 and 3 course set menu is excellent value for money. Could not rate it highly enough.

we had a very nice lunch. we were lucky as it was not as crowded as usual and we had a window seat. our waitress was from latvia and was both very attractive and interesting and charming, the whole experience was delightful and you can be sure we will be visiting again in the near future

Always a pleasure to eat at any Cote restaurant, Guildford on this occasion, staff are welcoming and friendly, tables are always clean, eat before 7pm with 2 courses for £10.95 great value for quick meal.

I choose the minute steak. When asked how it was I commented 'not as pink as advertised but still very good'. The waiter said he would talk to the manager about this. I was half way through it, and enjoying it, and the manager insisted on replacing it. Everyone was very pleasant about the incident which was very well handled.

Great restaurant just opposite the castle. The food is faultless (they really do cook the best steak in town) and the staff are a perfect mix of attentive and helpful without being intrusive. We love it here and would highly recommend.

Our booked table was immediately available, and provide in a quieter part of the restaurant on request. Our brunch was served swiftly and courteously, and we enjoyed it.

Having been to Cote on numerous occasions and had an excellent time. This particular review would have been higher, but unfortunately the soya milk curdled in the coffee.

The food was excellent and the service first-class. Great location in Guildford near the castle. Wine list on the pricey side. Service charge added on.

A great welcome, friendly staff and a great value for money lunch. A lovely way to spend Friday's. The 3 course lunch for £12.95 is unbeatable and there is always a good choice to suit everyone.

Great Menu choices, and especially Gluten Free options. Our waiter recommended a Rose Wine which was extremely nice. We often choose Cote and we are never disappointed.

I have allways enjoyed coming to Cotes and when I came on sunday with a friend the service was brilliant, all such cheery staff nothing ttoo much trouble and we had an excellent meal. Thank you

Good service, good food, good value, good location. Attentive waiter but not too in your face. Too much dressing on the goats cheese salad! Would recommend.

The food was lovely and the waiting staff extremely polite. However we felt very rushed. The starters were served promptly which was great but then 5minutes after the main came out. We weren't really given enough breathing spaces between courses to the point where I asked my main to be boxed up to takeaway. From sitting down to bill we were in Cote for 45mins. Not really the relaxing meal out we were looking for. However for lunch! Absolutely love it ❤️

Service always excellent. We have found that the steaks are not so reliable anymore. A few times now we have found the sirloin to be chewy. My wife couldn't finish hers tonight. A while back we always found the steaks to be so tender. Overall though we still very much like Côte.

Service unusually a little slow today. On the floor rather than kitchen delays. Food delicious as always. Good value for money. Will continue to go regularly.

The Cote in Guildford never fails to please and today was no exception. Lobster tails for starters and linguine for the main course. Everything was cooked to perfection, really enjoyed it all. We were looked after brilliantly,what more can I say ? Looking forward to our next visit.

Favorite restaurant by far. Fab food, service and atmosphere. Their brunch is fab to. They do all this without being overly expensive either. So glad we have one nearby

Very enjoyable lunch. Extensive menu to choose from but lacked a little for vegetarian choices and too many recipes with goats cheese. I chose a melon and Parma ham dish from the starter menu but found it a very small portion despite telling the waiter I was having it for a main course. I was hoping that one of your choices would Include eggs. Are the menus changed from time to time.? My husband and I visited Cote Farnham and I had a dish with black pudding which was delicious so perhaps it was just disappointment as it was not included on your menu.
