Côte Guildford

Greta welcome, friendly staff as always, swift service and tasty food. The starters were huge but we still managed a main each and shared a pudding.

Good service and good food.When we complained that my wife's desert apple tart was not quite right it was replaced with no fuss and we were even given a goodwill discount which we didn't expect.The bistro has a great ambiance and we always enjoy going there.

Excellent service as usual here. Appeared when you needed them, left you to eat and chat uninterrupted when you didn't. Not rushed at all despite them being quite busy. Perfectly polite and helpful. Very accommodating waiter and manager. We were able to chat away whilst enjoying another fine meal and not wanting for anything. A very comfortable atmosphere in which to dine with friends.

Another very nice evening meal. Plenty of choice very dish was well presented and very tasty coupled with discreet and professional staff. Will definitely be returning.

It was a very busy much service, but service was extremely slow and we had to keep trying to catch the waitress attention for desserts and then the bill. Food was good, as normal, so no complaints there.

Excellent food as always. Shame the 2 course meal isn't available on Saturdays as it is great value but only available on weekdays. Always book to avoid no availability.

The food was lovely but the staff did not meet my expectations, especially when paying my bill. The staff member stood over me so I was unable to shield my pin number from him and I felt very uncomfortable

Lovely food especially the new menu. Only gripe are the plates are not hot so food goes cold quickly cold quickly. Would still recommend service is always good.

Excellent visit, although they were very busy and run off their feet the table was there on time and we received excellent service, can't fault the staffs attention to customer service.

Lovely brunch although limited selection. Nicely cooked and served. Fairly flexible staff. Great value for money. Buzzing atmosphere as fairly busy. Would be nice if they offered avocado otherwise no complaints!

Excellent set early evening menu. Helpful staff and great ambiance. Would definitely come again. A La Carte menu looked very appetising . Set menu changes monthly and is great value

Very busy and staff were excellent. All hands on deck. Food was to the usual high standard. Always our first choice of restaurant in Guildford.

Lovely wedding anniversary meal out with my husband. We are regular visitors here and always walk away feeling satisfied. The duck with cherries is fantastic, a firm favourite of mine. Enjoy!

This is our favourite Cote, the staff are so welcoming nothing is to much trouble they are such an excellent team with a good manager Alex.

Food was good, service was bad. Inattentive and very slow service - we were hardly noticed and had repeatedly to attract attention of waiting staff.

Food and service very good, dining area where we were seated was very tight for space, extremely noisy - needs some form of noise attenuation as quite difficult to hold a conversation with people in our party.

Cote is one of our favourite restaurants. Friendly and attentive service, tasty food and wine, cosy atmosphere. Lovely evening catching up with friends. We'll be back!

Both the food and the service were up to the usual high standard. Slightly spoiled by a noisy couple next to us but at least they were enjoying themselves

We went to the Cote Brassierie after an afternoon watching a play at the Yvonne arnault theatre . We arrived 15 mins early , the staff were welcoming and very accomadating giving us a choice of tables. I chose the warm Roquefort cheese salad followed by the Tuna Nicoise my hubby The French Onion Soup and a Sirloin Steak . All were served quickly , hot and were delicious. The salad and the French Onion soup ware particularly special. A rainbow of fresh salad and the onion soup with the melted cheese presented beautifully. We finish with apple tart and lemon tart . Which were individual rather than a slice which was great . Would use cote brassierie at Guildford again in a heart beat Thank you to the staff there it was full and still they knew exactly what they were doing

Great service, good menu. We've been here so many Ines and it's always reluable and good and the staff are lovely. Well worth a try.

Have visited 2different Cote restaurants in the last week. ( Farnham and Guildford). In both cases, the steak was not up to usual Cote standards. Have you changed your supplier or reduced quality to keep costs down ? Otherwise a satisfactory experience overall both times.

Food good especially onion soup. Everything else was fine on the evening, Service ok but nothing amazing. Will go back as a nice place to have a meal.

The meal was mostly delicious. My only slight disappointment was that the Pain Perdu tasted as though it had been caramelised in stale fat. We had a waiter who was new that day, though experienced from elsewhere. He performed really well, managing to bring humour into a professional and efficient service whilst mastering the computer etc. He contributed to the entire experience in a very positive way.

Location and food are good. However I found the service a little erratic with too many waiters running up and down. They looked inexperienced/poorly managed.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch at Côte Brasserie Guildford today all the staff we friendly at tentative with out being over the top. Great service and our meals we’re just perfect for our celebration of our Golden Anniversary. We both thank for making part of our day just perfect.

First visit to Cote Guildford.We were there on a busy saturday lunchtime.Excellant service and food.Staff friendly and welcoming.Restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated.We will definitely visit again.Highly recommend.

As ever, the quality of the food at Cote Guildford was excellent. So was the service. The value for money of the table d'hote is just extraordinary, and beats everything else on offer from both other chains and independants. Keep it up!

Food was excellent. Service a bit slow and not very smiley. Good value for money. A good Specials menu in addition to the main menu.

Accommodating service, nice location. The food was good, but the calamari had too much breading for our taste. The best thing was the crab mayonnaise!

The Cote in Guildford is consistently good. The food is always delicious and the service is prompt and efficient. Always a great place to meet for a quick coffee or a long lunch.

We would normally give a rating of 6 but we were disappointed on this occasion that they had run out of our favourite pudding - pear crumble.

Really nice evening. Very prompt service and given a choice of table. Staff were very courteous and order taken efficiently. There were three of us and we shared two first courses ; calamari and crab mayonnaise. Both nice but the crab mayonnaise slightly overwhelmed the taste of the crab. Two poulet rapide and one salmon with ratatouille. All very hood. Nice portion size too.
