Côte Guildford

The food was very good and the service friendly and efficient, however we were a party of six placed in a ‘booth’ which was a bit cramped. The area was very noisy and uncomfortalbly hot. It was also extremely busy. The food could not be enjoyed because of the surroundings.

Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Excellent choice of food to cater for all tastes and served in a timely manner. Good sized portions and food served hot.

Great food, lovely service, brilliant food as usual and a good evening in general, the only gripe we had was a very loud couple behind us arguing. Even another lady enjoying a meal noticed as well and was shaking her head, she eventually came over to us because we were all appalled people wouldn’t leave theirs arguments at home, however this wasn’t the restaurants fault, however it would have been nice if the server had noticed and had a quiet word.

It was a wonderful evening, with great food (I had a beautifully cooked steak) and excellent service. We couldn't have asked for more for Valentine's day. Thank you!

Wonder food. Wonderful service. Romeo was our waiter and he is the nicest guy. I have the duck with was great. My husband has the chicken which was moist this is the best place to eat. Really food for really adults.

I never ever like mushy peas but it turned me around! Always amazing service, they are so good at making sure you have everything even though they were super busy as it was valentines. Love

The atmosphere, food and service were all very enjoyable. We’ve particularly enjoyed the special Valentines 3 Course Menu with wine selection. Plus the restaurant is bigger than others in Guildford therefore there is enough space between the tables

It was our first time there, went for a late breakfast. We had a wonderful time. The food and staff we both fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

We had lunch on Valentines day. Lovely food, red hot fries and the steak was cooked just pink despite it being quite thin. The service was 5 Star thanks to our server Ms Mirela. What a happy and energetic person she is. Excellent value lunch, freshly cooked with care.

Our visit to Côte Guildford was spoilt by the high intensity noise level. It was stressful and exasperating as conversation with our friends was nigh on impossible. This is the second time that we have had this problem in this restaurant and we vowed we would never go back there. Unfortunately, we had no choice, otherwise we would have gone to Côte in Goldalming where it is far more relaxing. The food was good but the desserts very disappointing. The creme brûlée was tasteless and sickly and we didn’t eat it, the Coupe Chocolate was just plain ice cream with an uninteresting chocolate sauce. The bill was higher than expected. Really not worth the money. Never going back,

A pleasant relaxed atmosphere and not too noisy. We enjoyed a well cooked unhurried meal, though it was a little more relaxed then we might have wished as the waiters were not quite as attentive as usual.

Food, attentive service and speed of meals' arrival was good, as usual. Sadly, our table was near the front and was small and in a noisy area. Must remember in future to ask for a quieter table!

The 2 courses of the early evening set menu arrived promptly - we were not kept waiting too long. The waiter was courteous and friendly, without being intrusive. A most enjoyable meal prior to going down the road to the Yvonne Arnaud. Would do it again.

Been twice recently to Cote Guildford once for a long and drawn out birthday lunch, the other for a meal before going to the theatre and for both very different events, the service and food were consistently good. Always a pleasure.

Busy but service was good and friendly. Food very good, as usual, though my sirloin steak was a bit chewier than usual. My wife’s steak was spot on though both were cooked the same. Still really tasty though.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Cote Guildford. The staff are always very friendly and extremely efficient. Whatever food you chose, it is always delicious and excellent value for money. What more could you ask.

Very good service and a buzzy atmosphere. Good selection of wine by the glass at reasonable prices, unlike many of the chain restaurants in Guildford.

Perfect breakfast. Everything was delicious. The waiters were very attentive. Can’t fault anything. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was a fantastic deal for 10.50 that’s included coffee and juice.

Staff were welcoming on arrival and attentive. Food was good and I chose a main ftom the specials which was particularly nice. I know the menu well so having a varying specials menu is important. Côte is always good and thoroughly recommended.

Good service & food very good but restaurant way too noisy. Can hardly hear each other to talk. Ok for parties but not a get together!

Today 10th Feb, the 3 of us were part of a Rock Choir 'Flash Mob' for charity in Guildford High Street, and it was a great success, so what better way to celebrate than Cote for a delicious brunch, which made the perfect ending!!

Good service and quality of food. Menu has not changed for a while, but still nice selection. French onion soup is very good and thoroughly recommended.

The service was very slow - not what we normally get, it was very busy and it seemed like tables had been squeezed int. However the food was good.

We had a very good meal, the food was all excellent apart from one burger being somewhat overdone. The service was mostly very attentive and we would recommend.

The food was delicious as always. We ate from the pre-theatre menu which is extremely good value. The staff were very friendly and the service was good.

Always a friendly welcome with very efficient and courteous service. Good food and a cosy atmosphere....perfect for pre-theatre as they offer a set menu before 7pm which is very good value. We will be back again soon!

You always get a warm welcome, the service was quick and cheerful, the food was really yummy and the best thing is they had Gluten Free flags back !!!!!!! The Gluten Free Menu is the best I have come across, loads of choice and you can order with confidence.

Pleasant atmosphere, generally attentive staff, and food is normally hot! Try and get a table towards the front of the restaurant if you can, it's more atmospheric than at the back.

Good atmosphere lovely food, but we were not brought any water to the table until i asked for some when our main meal arrived. We had ordered wine but were still not offered water.

Haven't been to Cote at Guildford for some time but the food, drinks and service were as good as ever. Still my number one spot for breakfast.

Please consider reducing the sugar content in the creme part of the creme caramel. It seems to have become cloyingly sweet. There needs to be a contrast between the caramel and the egg custard part. Used to be my favourite at Cote. Thank you.

Great meal as ever, Cote can always be relied upon for a tasty meal at a reasonable price. Busy enough for an atmosphere but could still have a conversation.

We had a brunch / lunch and all 6 at the table enjoyed their food. The service was good too. It was not the first time and it won’t be the last.

A lovely evening as always at Cote in Guildford. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food choices from all the different choices of menu was impressive and excellently priced.
