Côte Guildford

Super visit to Cote Guildford yesterday.. The staff were super efficient, helpful and very friendly. Food was delicious as always. I love Cote. First time we've been to this one, a little smaller restaurant than Brighton but still chic and a wonderful lunch experience. Thanks Cote team in Guildford.

Very tasty food in pleasant surroundings served by helpful, cheerful and friendly staff. The air conditioning was also an added bonus which made for a lovely evening out.

Took my cousin to Cote Guildford for lunch. We both choose from the set menu and washed it all down with a very reasonable muscadet, brandy and coffees. The resturant was pleasantly half full which meant that we were able to talk without being over heard. The manger and staff were both friendly and efficient. I have visited the location on numerous occassions and at different times of the day, so I have no hesitation in recommending the place, which can be found within the vicinity of charming Guildford castle.

Great breakfast - 'proper' scrambled egg and lovely smoked salmon, freshly squeezed orange juice. A very civilised start to a working day. Nice service too.

Good service. The sirloin steak ordered by my friend was poor. A lot of grissle made a third of it inedible. The waiter waived the charge which was good of him.

It was a delicious breakfast. Warm welcome on a wet Sunday morning. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Great atmosphere. Loved it all. Lovely start to the day.

Service was fast and friendly and the food was great. We took some friends there who were visiting Guildford for the first time and they were very impressed!

Efficient and friendly welcome. Timely ordering and prompt service. Good quality food, especially very tasty fish pie, but chicken / avocado salad would have benefitted from. more avocado ( in season now). Service charge of 12% presumptuous.. M. DENNISON

Always reliably good food at Côte. Only criticism is the automatic addition of 12.5% service charge to bill. It is discretionary but in reality it is quite awkward to say you wish to remove this charge when paying. It is not the only restaurant that operates this way but it is not a practice I agree with.

Great service, excellent friendly team. The food was very very very very very very tasty. Drinks were lovely. Seating excellent. Clean toilets and they made the sunshine

Good food and wine served by friendly staff. Plenty of choice and always a good selection of "monthly Specials". All together a very enjoyable lunch.

Yet another great dining experience at Cote. 6 of us dined at Guildford and as usual the food was excellent. We had a brilliant server Mariusz who was very patient with us and we enjoyed conversing with him. We were not the easiest group but he was lovely. I will always recommend Cote as it is good value and has a great atmosphere.

Enjoyable lunch. However my friend wanted a pasta dish. No pasta on menu yesterday. Service good. Staff friendly. My food delicious and all reasonably priced.

It is by far the best restaurant in Guildford, always excellent food and service. All the staff are attentive, polite and make the experience dining at Cote a memorable one. It would improve the dining experience if Cote extended the Monday - Friday menu to include Saturday, as the Saturday menu is very limited.

Excellent food, service and ambience. Always an amazing meal guaranteed ! The restaurant is busy but you are never kept waiting too long. Good value for money for the consistently good food. I will be back again soon.

Lovely friendly staff and cool, classy atmosphere as always. Unfortunately my husband and I received sad news of a death in the family during dinner so we didn’t end up eating too much. The gentleman serving us was so kind, thank you so much. We’ll definitely return.

I feel the quality of the food is not quite as good as it used to be, also the prices have increased for the set menu's and there is not a lot of choice.

Great food but very expensive and not great service considering it wasnt that busy they also got my order wrong meaning my partner had to start her main meal without me

Booked online. Very social business lunch. Unhurried with attentive staff. Not overly expensive. The Ivy offered 11-15 am and 3-30pm but who wants lunch at that time?

The rewards system is very confusing. The restaurant would not honour it, leaving me in a quandary as to how to redeem the points. Wpould like advice on this

It was a quiet evening tonight (Sunday eve) but the staff and food was still outstanding. I’ve only been once before in the Canterbury branch, today was the first time for myself and my partner at Guildford. We definitely plan on coming back soon.

Superb food, as always! Plus friendly, helpful & attentive staff. Recommend booking, especially for a Saturday lunchtime or evening,. Always a great atmosphere in this restaurant.

Wonderful staff! They really make a difference. I’ve only ever had breakfast here and I enjoy it every time. Highly recommend the Croque madam and eggs benedict. Thank you Cote Guildford for being lovely 🙏🏻😊

Ordered seabass and mussels it was delicious. Very efficient service. Ambience was good. And staff was very attentive] a bit pricey but over all was worth it..

We were given attentive service. The food was delicious. The only downside was we were seated in the area with the lower ceiling and it was very noisy.

Took my two sisters to lunch. They both enjoyed the meal and ambience. I have been to Côte Guildford many times and the food has always been very good. Will definitely return again.

A table of ten with four rather noisy children and as usual we were dealt with by utterly charming staff, unruffled by having to wait a good time as children decided to change orders. Cote in Guildford has the best staff for charm and efficiency and it doesn’t feel like a chain restaurant at all. We go several times a month and feel like we’re friends with the staff. Brilliant. Oh and just in case you’re wondering, the food is good too?

I usually get into Cote at Guildford at least once a month and have never been disappointed. This continued to be the case this time. The pork bellies on the prestige menu, were superb. The prestige menu was excellent value. The service was as usual excellent. I’ll be back soon!

Very noisy venue Spoilt our evening in Guildford - Food was OK Service was fine We find many of the Cote Restaurants suffer with noise issues. Need to re-look at Design Materials

One of the best restaurants in Guildford! Great food, service and location. Very accommodating staff. A wide selection of really good food and the place has lovely vibe.

Such a friendy and welcoming team at this restaurant. Very happy and full of smiles. Tasty breakfast as usual and good value for money. Would recommend.

Food was really average. We used to go one a fortnight for dinner but have noticed that the food hasn’t been so good in recent months. Real shame as staff are really nice.

We enjoyed a tasty breakfast, served promptly by friendly and efficient staff. Although it was steaming hot outside we were cool inside, helped by cold complimentary water..

Staff very attentive as usual but as the weather was so hot the situation was a bit desultory. The food was up to the high standard expected and thoroughly enjoyed.

First class food and service. We had steak frites (from the Rapide menu) + green salad +two glasses of pampelle spritz. Delicious! Would have scored a perfect six if we could have paid (by card) a little quicker (had to wait a while for this - and ended up with a parking ticket for our trouble!!). Will return for sure :)

Had a most enjoyable meal. The charcuterie was first class as always, teamed with a glass of champagne what could be better on a beautiful summer's day. Staff were brilliant, very attentive.. Looking forward to my next visit.

Everything was fine with good food and cheerful staff. Perhaps service was a little inattentive but not to really complain about. Will go again soon.

The food was well presented and well prepared, serving staff were friendly and efficient. I like to meet with friends at the Cote in Guildford for a leisurely lunch in a good restaurant with a lively atmosphere.

As usual the service was first class, but unusually the eggs benedict was below par, I did point out I thought the Chef had forgotten to put the ham on!

Busy Sunday morning and we arrived with a hungry 4 week old and tired toddler. Staff were so helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. Also the food was great served quickly and hot. Will return.

Excellent service and food. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the close proximity of a very large group so it was difficult to have a conversation. Perhaps the restaurant could keep small group diners separate.

Very good, busy in the restaurant but still received great service. Staff friendly and attentive. Food of good quality and came out fairly quickly too.

Great meal but the best thing was how the staff treated us. One of our party is gluten & dairy free. I noted this when I booked online & when we arrived they immediately grabbed a GF menu for us as they took us to their table. We didn't need to say a thing. Once seated, they went through the GF menu with us & explained what could be made DF too. They were so helpful. Made a huge difference. What a great team.

Three of us very much enjoyed the meal at Guildford we had the three course meal, very well presented, lovely food and as usual the staff were very helpful and attentive.

Great service, good food. Only problem was the noise from other diners. My cousin is hard of hearing and missed a lot of our conversation. Next time we'll ask for a quiet corner.

Cote in Guildford, as usual, did not disappoint. Service was excellent, friendly and fast. Food was delicious and the ambiance was just right. Thank you!
