Côte Guildford

The food is consistently high quality, service fast and efficient and ambience great. But what makes the Guildford Cote stand out for me is the staff - such a lovely bunch of people who are always fun, very helpful and all work so well together. Many thanks.

Great food and the cooked was breakfast fantastic value with juice and coffee or tea included in price. Didn't have to wait long at all despite the restaurant bring really busy. Highly recommend.

We went for valentine's day lunch, the restaurant was very busy. The food was excellent value and the menu offered a wide choice for all tastes. There was a good atmosphere amongst the staff,a well run restaurant.highly recommend.

Everything about Cote Guildford is excellent. The food, staff and atmostphere. Going back with friends on Friday. I have been quite a few times before going to the theatre, early evening deals really good value.

Great food, ambience and staff. We come here regularly, especially for breakfast which we rate the best in Guildford. Excellent value and we always get a warm welcome.

Côte Guildford never fail to disappoint! Their breakfast is always incredible and the service is amazing, every time I leave l always feel like a valued costumer. Can’t wait until the next time!

Good value breakfast formulae - includes coffee and juice. Fast efficient service. Good food and nice atmosphere. Cote is always busy when I go in. Definitely plan to go again.

As always the food is excellent. 3 of us had the French onion soup which is so delicious. The Breton chicken is so succulent and tasty and I had the wild mushroom sauce. The service is always excellent whichever branch we go to. I always recommend Cote.

Our group of six was seated in the conservatory area and it was very noisy. food was good but not wow. When it came to paying the bill the lady collecting payment did not seem to understand that the service charge was optional (this came about because we did not have enough cash to pay the amount including service charge on the bill). We should have asked to produce a bill without service charge and then left our cash towards service. We also did not receive a dessert we had ordered and had to have it removed from the bill!

Never disappointed when we visit Cote in Guildford. Early bird meals fantastic value for money. Being regular diners it is the consistency we love of having a delicious meal with excellent wine. Thank

The usual good food and service for the early bird menu, which is such excellent value. But do not expect super large portions. Looking forward to next week's visit already!

What made this evening special was the helpful and friendly service we received from the staff. The food was standard Cote Brasserie fare, which was what we were expecting. You get music while you eat these days and some of the tracks were a bit heavy, hence the 5 not 6 rating.

Efficient boring system, good attentive service, starter squid not as crisp as it should be but overall very good food, excellent atmosphere if a little noisy.

We always get excellent service, very good food from a good menu, and it is always very good value for money. We have a meal at Cote before going to the nearby theatre, so time is always of the essence - we are never let down.

Really enjoyed a very reasonably priced lunch from the set menu. Delicious cauliflower soup followed by sea bass. All really delicious as usual. And a lovely warm welcome.

Absolutely spot on from reception when we arrived, service, and food. We ordered fillet steak, one m'rare one medium both were perfect. I usually go out ready to be disappointed but not this time. Well done. 5*

I've always like Cote Guildford and have been there a lot but when it's not the usual staff on duty it is noticeable and sadly lets them down a little. Otherwise.........still great!

A bit noisy but otherwise a good atmosphere, service and delicious food. A conveniently situated restaurant that although it is a chain it maintains a consistent standard.

Cote in Guildford is our regular treat. We always enjoy the food, especially the weekend specials. The wine selection is good and it is possible to find a good quality wine at a reasonable price. Service is friendly and very efficient.

Quick lunch with my son and my husband. The beauty of Cotes is that it is a lovely atmosphere and it is lovely food but really not extortionately expensive if you use the lunchtime menu. In fact I had an email voucher which even took money off the price of that menu. Loyalty pays here!

Great burgers at the weekend! Excellent quality meat. Really delicious. The restaurant is usually busy, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Making a reservation at the weekend is definitely recommended!

If you go at 12 noon on a Saturday or a Sunday, you can decide if you want brunch or lunch, as brunch is served until 12 and lunch starts at 12. Perfect if you feel like brunch and your companion wants lunch!

As always service and food excellent. Attentive but non intrusive staff and attention to detail with replacing empty water and clearing as necessary to make room for next dishes.

A lovely evening at Cotes Bistro in Guildford. Arrived and was able to choose favourite table. As it is dry January, I had a very low alcohol beer, which was great. Food and service brilliant as always.

A nice pleasant meal but understaffed, so service was not up to par. Had to continually hunt down staff to order, clear plates, pay, etc.

The food at Cote is always good but the service today was incredibly slow. We waited 15 minutes at our table before anyone even came to take our drinks order and then I had to ask someone if we could order. It seemed we were all rather tightly packed in as the tables we very close making it difficult to move, take off your coat etc. The tables were cleared very slowly and dirty tables were left long after the diners had gone. We did ask if they were short staffed but were told they weren’t! They did say that a lot of people had arrived at the same time which is just bad planning in that case. After one hour we had only had our starter. I appreciate it is not a fast food restaurant but you expect to be able to be out after and hour and a half quite comfortably. They did acknowledge our lack of service by making a deduction on our bill but it was a disappointing visit nonetheless.

The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. Everything came at just the right time. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and whole experience.

The waiters were all friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the fish pie was very salty. The calamari was tasty although a lot of it and the chocolate mouse was delicious.
