Great atmosphere and excellent, attentive service but both main courses were quite disappointing and not up to the usual standard being somewhat overcooked.

Another excellent meal at Cote, Guildford. You never fail. Our friends from Canada were impressed too.

We love this restaurant, each time enjoy so much. The food is tasty in general and if you eat before peak time, the price is really very reasonable.

starter delivered very slowly-ie long wait, main course came too early as a result and had to be kept hot. Seemed low on attention level of waiter

Not as good as usual. My roast Seabass, while cooked didn’t appear roasted. No crispy bits. The Fennel and tomato concusses was too “wet and sloppy”, to enough body to it. Flavour weak and watery. Frites dry and without any body/potato inside. Was all edible, but not special. I have been in 3 times in the last few days, each time slightly worse. And you are/ were my favourite restaurant, and have been for years. I think now you are too busy and everything is a bit slapdash. More staff required perhaps, and a better Chef.

Absolutely brilliant New year's eve meal. The wine pairing was phenomenal and the staff were fabulous. It was spot on. Your staff really made us feel so welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent as always, great service and Alex is a real people's person and Alex and his team always make it a experience.

Not a 'big eater' so did not go for the festive menu. However, the Starter (Roquefort salad) and Main (Smoked Haddock Parmentiere) dishes I chose were both prepared to the highest standard that is the mark of the Cote brand - and is why it is such a regular venue on our "dine out" rota. Always a great experience - Thank You Cote team !

As usual consistently excellent service (waitress Jenny), great food and a warm welcome. The lunch set menu offers excellent value for money. Cote in Guildford is fast becoming my favourite lunch "oasis".

We had booked a table and once seated we were left sitting with menus for over 20 minutes before anyone came to get drinks order or put water on the table, despite requesting twice for someone to come. I was told straightaway Madam by the Manager who then proceeded to greet other diners and totally ignored my request.

Have been to various Cote Brasserie restaurants and we keep returning because both the food and the service are exemplary. Merry Xmas. Sharon Roberts and family

Great food in our favourite restaurant in Guildford. Always a warm welcome - we are regulars. 😃

Booking for a meal out on Christmas Eve is a special occasion. The restaurant wasn’t too packed, our table was ready and the staff had time to spend taking care of us. Lots of choice with the main menu, Christmas menu and light lunch menu. The French Onion soup was delicious - a great spot.

Sadly it has started to go downhill....you are now charged for the bread. Portion sizes have shrunk for scrambled eggs.....I then looked up if it had changed ownership and it has to, of course, private equity. Up goes the debt level, down goes the customer experience. Sad to see short term investors hurting another high street brand.

This is our second trip the Cote in Guildford. We love the Cote brand as it’s consistent, good value for money and always great service. The Guildford Cote did not disappoint, the staff were helpful and friendly and we had a great meal. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very busy on Christmas Eve but nothing was too much trouble for the staff and breakfast great! Glad we booked though!
