Côte Guildford

Greasy calamari Ribeye steak wasn’t the normal Ribyey, one portion of hot chips one Luke warm, the best part of the meal was the tomato salad.

As ever a most enjoyable informal Friday evening meal at Cote Guildford. Not the best table in the restaurant but the food was excellent - chosen from the Premium set menu - and friendly and attentive service by Christian. We'll be back.

As usual a visit to Côte is always good value, great food and friendly staff. I have never visited a chain of restaurants that have been more reliable.

Went for breakfast, very relaxed friendly atmosphere as not too busy. Staff were excellent, attentive, helpful and friendly without over doing it. Food was great, highly recommended.

This was my first visit to Cote. The staff were very professional and friendly but that's where the praise ends I'm afraid. My chargrilled chicken was tough like cardboard but I was too hungry to send it back. The time we had to wait between courses was also rather long. I was also a bit disappointed that I was suppose to ask upon arrival for the complimentary bottle of wine and even if I had there were too many restrictions to qualify for it.

Lovely little restaurant, amazing food & great service. The staff are very friendly & attentive. One of the best creme brule's i've had. Will definitely be returning soon.

Enjoyed our first visit to Cote in Guildford. Easy to find and parking (up to 10 pm) was close by in Council Car Park. We were early, but immediately taken to our table and our friends arrived 10 minutes later. The food was universally very good. Service was prompt and friendly. Only slight critique is that the place is very "buzzy" and noise level from other diners is quite high. Not sure there's any way to fix that. But at least it means they are doing something right to be so busy.

service was a bit rushed but it was Mothers day and the place was packed. Food was impeccable - cauldnt fault it. Great family meal. Will be back soon

The restaurant was very busy, being Mother's Day weekend, & so we had to wait a few minutes for our table , but the manager was very attentive and made sure we had complimentary drinks. Well done Cote - customer service, that's all it takes to make a great experience. I shall definitely be back again.

Had a lovely lunch today. The set menu is so varied. Lovely goats cheese and ratatouille followed by chicken. Great atmosphere and warm service, as always.

I like the Côte chain and the Guildford branch is a warm and welcoming place. Good food and happy staff make it a good experience.

Food was good but the restaurant is too cramped. As a result it is really hard to have a conversation, it was extremely noisy. Service was good apart from the mixup on dessert resulting on them being delayed.

It is always a pleasure dining at Cote, food is always superb and the service excellent, I've never had a bad experience,what more could one say.

It was excellent as expected. The service was very good and a lively, friendly staff. The seats / chairs were a bit small for my big butt though and very uncomfortable for that reason. Also, is it really necessary to charge nearly £3.00 for small bottle of diet coke?

Unfortunately the scrambled egg looked anemic and had little yolk ! A little bland. However the service was faultless and very quick. The black pudding was delicious.

Always great food and friendly service...no change on this visit. Shared a delicious reblochon pissaladiere and saucisson sec to start, then the classics - poulet grille for her and steak frites for him. Can't go wrong! Finished off with praline crepe (him) and tarte fine aux pommes (her) and left very satisfied. Attentive and friendly service, only had to wait a little to get the bill sorted at the end. Recommended.

We had breakfast at the Guildford Cote this morning. We are regular returning visitors to this Cote. The food as always was delicious, substantial and hot. The formule breakfast is good value for money. The service is impeccable, we are always made to feel welcome. Excellent all round. Thank you.

Such a lovely restaurant with a lively ambience. We were there to celebrate a big birthday and it was a nice surprise to be given a glass of sparkling rose on the house . The food was delicious and the customer service fantastic ,tentative yet not overpowearing . We will definitely be back .

Exceptional as always. Carolina is the most wonderful manageress ever, she has been there forever and it is testament to Cote's culture that someone that brilliant remains. All the staff are fantastic and the food is consistently excellent and good value. A lovely spot in the perfect location.

We are regular customers to Cote in Guildford and always find the welcome warm and friendly. The monthly specials as well as the 2 or 3 course options mean that it is never a problem finding something that both my wife and I will enjoy.

Another delightful visit ,we continue to expect the best and the best is what we get .The guildford branch is the best Cote we visit and it never lets us down .With EVA in charge this makes for an even better treat

We enjoyed an excellent meal, served with friendliness and efficiency. The french onion soup and spinach and mushroom crepes were excellent, although I would have appreciated a greater number of vegetarian options. One small disappointment was the soup not being as hot as it might have been - and my husband's steak frites was served on an almost cold plate. These points may be small, but they mattered to us.

Excellent and efficient service, additional requests accommodated eg alternative vegetable and splitting pudding, particular table reserved. Very happy with our lunchtime experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Excellent, as always. Never disappointed with the food and service. We had a choice of tables and sat by the window with a view over the castle grounds. We were not rushed to leave after our coffee, which was a bonus.

Great food very hot and delicious. I had the mussels as a main course and it was very good. The service was brilliant , so very happy with a good lunch and great atmosphere. Booked on line with no problems and was very good value for money.

I asked at booking for a corner table but was told on arrival there have none! With a 7 week old baby we were placed in centre of restaurant. A busy spot. Unbeknown to us , this was our first visit to Guildford cote,there were many other seats free where we would have caused less disruption. The scrambled egg was more of an omelette and was not as good as Horsham or haywards heath cotes.

Lovely bustling atmosphere, food excellent and hot, service good. prices ok. Always a good choice. Wine by the glass was too chilled for a Bordeaux and needed opening up would be only criticism.

We had such a relaxing experience, the staff were very friendly yet professional at all times.The food arrived within minutes. Great breakfast for our family get together.

Always enjoyed C Brasserie, but last night the tables were packed together, it was very noisy and generally uncomfortable. It was a gymnastic exercise to leave the table !!!! Other Brasseries are not like this......

Wonderful cooked-from-scratch food you don’t find in any other chain. The staff go out if their way to make being at Cote a good experience. June specials were seasonal and tasted great.

It is always a pleasure to come to Cote. Staff were lovely, food is always great and service was amazing. 100% 5 stars! It can sometimes be a bit noisy, but today it wasn't full, and it was perfect. Staff went above and beyond to please us. My friend is expecting a baby and wanted non alcoholic wine, which Cote does not serve. Our server suggested he can make a non alcoholic cocktail for her, which wasn't on the menu. She was so pleased she ordered a second one! Thumbs up!
