Côte Godalming

Excellent food and service. I thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Unfortunately we had to send two steak frites back, they were inedible, very tough, they were both replaced but were exactly the same inedible!! They were removed from the bill. however the experience did spoil the lunch. I use Cote a lot especially the Guildford branch, this is the first time that I have had to complain regarding the quality of the food.

Great lunch once again. Prawn gratinee & crab mayo to start followed by the fish stew- very good. Back again soon.

Staff and food were excellent, despite the challenges of the current covid situation. Well done and thank you.

I took my four children (between age 6-11) out for dinner for my birthday. They are fairly rambunctious lot, so I do worry about upsetting other diners when we are out ... We ended up chatting to a very sweet and friendly couple on the table next to us who reminisced about when their children were little. Sometime later, after they had gone and we were ordering our pudding, the manger came over to tell us that the couple we had been talking to had paid for our meal when they left, which was quite the most touching and loveliest things imaginable; such kindness and generosity of spirit is so rare these days. So a huge thank you to them, wherever they might be, for making our evening so special!

Lovely food. Great staff. Unfortunately ambience spoilt by a screaming young baby for what seemed like an eternity. Babies cry but considerate parents take them outside to settle them or take them home. This was 9.30pm so do expect a peaceful restaurant. I'm surprised the family booked so late in the evening. They were also dressed for the beach not a restaurant.

Very good meal and service as always. But staff made no attempt to moderate a table of 6’s physical embraces as they greeted in one another and their interaction throughout their meal. This put your other diners at a risk of possible infection from the virus.

Lovely food, great service, good social distancing but a little pricey

We enjoyed the meal and the service was good. However we thought some of the tables were too close for the current restrictions and, had they all been occupied, we would have felt uncomfortable.

Why have you removed your vegetarian and vegan menu? There is very little choice now for vegetarians and especially for vegans which is really disappointing.

Lovely staff, fab atmosphere even for a late Wednesday and the food and wine were genuinely faultless and completely delicious. Definitely coming back again soon!

This the first time we’ve been out after shielding for nearly 6 months so we chose our favourite Côte in Godalming. As previously the service was perfect and all the staff were as warm and friendly with the food up to the very high standard. Now we know that Côte in Godalming is really back we’ll be back - as many times as possible.

The food and service were wonderful and we really enjoyed our lunch there today. This is our first visit to Cote since lockdown and the set up was great. They were definitely adhering to all of the enhanced hygiene procedures and we it felt was a very safe and relaxed environment. Thanks for a great meal.

Had a fabulous evening at Cote - this was the first time I’ve been out since before lockdown. The staff were polite and friendly and wore masks throughout- we decided to sit outside and our table was safely away from the other diners. The food was lovely and being coeliac the manager took the order and my food came out flagged as ‘gluten free’ - the menu choice for gluten free was extensive compared to other restaurants. Very pleased that in these difficult and unprecedented times that you can still enjoy a treat at Cote,
