Côte Godalming

We had the pre 7pm dinner which is great value and a good selection of choices. The service was excellent with nice atmosphere. Cant ask for more!

Friendly staff and good food. Great value as we all chose from the set lunch menu which was 2 courses for £10.95. Will be back.

The food is fine, fairly well presented French, but the service is too attentive. The pressure on the staff to make sure extras are added to the basic dishes, is palpable. This is a vague feeling on your first visit, but after a couple of occasions, it is so obvious that it almost makes you embarrassed for your server, and definitely put us off ordering more than our initial intention.

Cote Godalming is located in a charming building with a large patio for "al fresco" sitting. The staff is very professional and ,of course, the meals are a delight with attractive presentation.

Excellent breakfast very good value for money as includes cooked breakfast, juice & hot drink plus toast. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice terrace outside for warm days

On a hot sticky early evening We were able to sit outside in a pleasantly cool secluded area to have a natter before ordering our drink and food. The food on offer was, as usual, quite delicious. As we were going on to the Theatre we asked for our bill with our last course and it came almost immediately. No complaints.

Food not up to usual Cote Standard. My main was cold (lamb) and pretty tasteless, pork belly was mainly fat and tasteless. service left a lot to be desired. Certainly not worth £213 for 5, took off service charge, 12.5% is excessive in my view.

Restaurant was in good location and food was spot on, quite an expensive gratuity fee though and did not get asked wether I want to pay this.

Nice environment and good service. However, food wasn't up to the normal cote standard. In particular: - My wife asked for a fishcake from the set main course menu, but without the egg. She received the fishcake, sans egg, but also sans the sauce that normally comes with it. - My steak frites was much tougher than usual, as experienced at other restaurants in the group. - The peach crumble taken as a pudding was not properly cooked, the crumble was soggy, not a proper crumble at all. We will revert to using your Chichester & Winchester outlets I'm afraid.

Excellent service good quality food and very reasonably priced. Will certainly recommend this restaurant, I hope the menu will vary each month whilst maintaining the high standard of cuisine.

We had a very pleasant meal at Cote Brasserie today. It was very well cooked and the service was very good. We hope to go there again very soon.

Absolutely Amazing service and good quality food. Breakfast is by far my favourite! Can't fault value for monnies, you shall never leave hungry or disappointed!

We were there for lunch in a party of six. Very good food and the service was excellent. Would recommend this restaurant and it suits all ages.

On my second visit, my food was luke warm and had clearly sat around for a while. The same thing happened on my first visit with the same dish - duck breast with cherry sauce. When I complained last time I was given the same plate reheated so I was reluctant to complain this time and regretted my trust that it had been a 'one off'. The food is not consistent with other branches which is extremely disappointing considering the location and atmosphere is lovely. Despite loving Cote and Godalming being my local, I am likely to avoid this branch in future and travel slightly further to Guildford for guaranteed better food and service.

The seven adults and three little ones had a really good breakfast this morning.service was good .We had a little room to ourselves which made life easier with little ones.We will go again

Yet again , a most enjoyable meal at Cote in Godalming. Very attentive staff and most helpful and another excellent meal , roll on our next visit.

The service was excellent and we were neither rushed nor kept waiting. The restaurant even agreed to allow our children to have the set menu (which was due to finish before we could get there) if we pre-ordered.

Lovely setting, good fast service and good value quality breakfast. Highly recommend formulae breakfast at £9.95. Suitable for families. Watch out for service charge of 12.5% if in a big party! Although not mandatory to pay it!

Had a lovely meal good service and plenty of time to chat and enjoy the food. I am going for lunch next week and really looking frward to it.

Excellent food, really good house white and red wine, good service at a reasonable cost provided 4 of us with an enjoyable meal. The only negative was that they brought the wrong starter for my wife but this was fairly quickly resolved. Overall, a great place to enjoy a meal in the centre of Godalming.

A lovely lunch with very nice staff. Asparagus was not great and kids portions could do with being a bit larger but food overall was great value for money.

Unfortunately, my husband had to send his steak back twice and when we received our bill there were puddings on there that we did not order.

The place and the food was excellent as usual but we had issues with the waitress who I think was on a sales mission and lacked a friendly smile.

A very good meal and excellent service - well worth a visit. The building has been extremely well refurbished, so also a very nice venue.

Excellent food and attentive greeting and service. The pork belly was succulent, the crackling was perfect but one portion of two was very fatty. Potatoes au gratin and extra side dish of creamed spinach were perfectly cooked and delicious. Wine was recommended by server and was a good parallel for non-French preferred alternative. A good first experience to this restaurant. Well done, Cote Godalming. We'll be back!

As always, Cote service and food is outstanding, even on a busy Fathers Day morning, with everyone wanting to sit outside, the staff remained cheerful, attentive and friendly.

On arrival had to ask to be moved as food on floor under table and we had arrived early and no other persons present, during meal we lost count of the number of times we were asked if we wanted further drinks even on one occasion I was sitting with a full glass of beer I was asked if I wanted another bottle, but to conclude we enjoyed the food we had.

Fantastic meal again at Côte. The set menu is superb value and the food as always was delicious and beautifully presented. Lovely being able to sit outside on a hot summer's evening

Very good food as usual was excellent. Staff very pleasant. Was a hot night but they managed to keep restaurant cool although any sat outside thank staff.

Staff very pleasant and helpful but I think they were very busy as it took time and they forgot a drink. Portion sizes were also small for what you pay.

The service was very poor. Went to Cote in Godalming for dinner on a quiet Monday evening so not busy at all. Food took a long time to come and a side salad ordered to come with main didn't arrive at all despite reminders to the waitress who was frankly disinterested in her job. No apology offered. The food itself was a sub-standard fish concoction so overcooked it was dry and hard. Needless to say I won't be returning to this expensive and vastly overrated restaurant - there are much better ones to choose from in Godalming. Why bother wasting time and money going here. Definitely would not recommend.

Another super evening at Cote Godalming. Good service and delicious food. The air conditioning kept us cool on the hottest day of the year. What more can we ask for?!

Good value early evening menu. We enjoyed our food. Excellent service. Even found a plug to charge the phone- they have USB points under the table!

Reliably good food, lovely atmosphere, attentive service. Really appreciated the Birthday extra of a glass of Kir for everyone at the table, which arrived without having to be asked for.

Very good meal and helpful staff - only one problem, the chicken meal was undercooked and still pink but staff handled the situation well with a credit. MD

Air con was rather overzealous. Service was a bit erratic. They asked us for drinks order as soon as we sat down, before we had had a chance to look at the list. Then they took a while to come back to take our order and then starters came bit by bit with quite a wait for the last 2 out of 7. We did have a discount off the final price so at least they were trying!

Good and varied menu, very helpful and friendly waiters. Extremely well cooked and presented food. Reasonably priced. Attractive and tasteful decor. Would recommend to anyone.

A fantastic lunch once again was enjoyed at Côte godalming. We couldn't decide what to have (the whole menu is lovely) the waitress was great at recommending some dishes and sides. Also I had the pancakes with praline and banana I never normally have a dessert- it was delicious

The food and service were great as always, in a lovely setting. Cote has revitalised a lovely old building after it was empty for years, and it's a welcome addition to the choices in town.

Lovely food and attentive service. I've had a duck breast with cherry sauce. Duck was beautifully cooked and the sauce was delicious. Will definitely come again.
