Côte Godalming

Fast and friendly service. We sat outside in the courtyard and had a very nice waitress who attended to us. My only criticism would be that we weren't offered any complimentary bread with our meal, which most restaurants now provide freely. I had the roast pork and my friend had the cod goujons. Both were delivered in piping hot plates and were delicious.

Delicious and unhurried meal with friends. We all chose different fish dishes and they were all excellent. Can particularly recommend the tomato starter too with its variety of tomatoes, all full of flavour.

Nice surroundings, friendly and competent staff and good rather than great food. The menu is rather limited although there are daily changes and a 'meal of the day' option.

Another great meal at Cote & surprisingly busy for a Monday! Had the set menu - three courses & was delicious. Even the kids loved it! Will be back again soon.

Went here for lunch on Sunday,and as with our previous visits,we had a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere.I had the Tuna Nicoise and my wife had the Duck with Cherry sauce,both were very nice indeed.My wife has a wheat intolerance and the staff were very helpful in pointing out the dishes that were available to her.

Staff very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely and was we were quick to be served. Relaxing apmosphe and comfortable seats. I would definitely recommend C

Great experience as usual, service friendly and prompt, quiet cosy table for 2, excellent minute steak and fillet for husband, well seasoned and perfectly cooked!

Nice breakfast served outside in double quick time, Nicely positioned restaurant with friendly staff, Only problem was it is wasp season but the staff were quick to put out some wasp traps .

A new Côte in Godalming. Surprisingly large restaurant. Decor much like all other Côtes. Service good and friendly. The pre 7.00 pm menu represents excellent value. But all the food is good & well presented. Will certainly go back.

Lovely food and ambience.Very enjoyable dinner for 4 and kir royales much appreciated.Only niggle - had to try to get attention for initial drinks and bill at the end.

Fab service, lovely decor and great food, I'm a sucker for the steak with fries and the small chooser pot. Can't get any better. Just love this place.

A relaxed evening with consistently good food and service. Have visited on several occasions since Godalming cotes opened and have come to expect nothing less than the brands high standards

I like Cote but not on this occasion. Sadly my food was cold and had to be sent back and my friends starter was swimming in vinegar and her main meal had slivers of uncooked garlic in it, she also had a replacement meal. Consequently we both ate at separate times. It was meant to be a birthday celebration. They did apologise and we did not have to pay for any of the meal.

The crab starter was too salty which was a shame, and the steak unseasoned. The service was fabulous though! Good, well priced wine list too.

Excellent food and service in a great location. There needs to be a ramp for wheelchair users to access outside dining areas like other customers.

Good seating at Godalming with tables spaced out well, unlike some other branches where tables are placed too closely together. Food good, staff friendly and professional.

We went to Cote in Godalming for my birthday lunch. We were attended to straight away and was asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. As it was such a lovely day we chose to sit outside. We opted from the set lunch menu and kids menu, which had a variety of meals and everything we are was delicious. This is the second time of going here and it won't be the last. It was a lovely meal and all the staff that served us were very friendly.

The meal was lovely disappointed no bread with soup (was given bread very hard) but the remainder was enjoyable shall reternal to eathe there again.

First time at this particular Cote restaurant as we generally go to the Guildford restaurant and this one did not disappoint. The Crème caramel dessert at Cote is the best I have ever tasted anywhere.

Food good Service good and waitresses friendly but long wait for mains. Price on the high side. 12.5% service charge excessive. If you like Cote Guildford is better.

We had a very pleasant lunch today, the food was excellent and we had attentive service as usual .I entertained a friend who was very impressed.

Newly opened restaurant which has good atmosphere. Coupled with great service with interesting menu it makes for a very enjoyable evening. We will be back soon!

Nice food excellent service. We enjoyed sitting outside. Thought the staff were great. Five of us ate. Most dishes above average but two or three were below average

Excellent food together with attentive service - what more could you ask for! Had set lunch menu of langoustine tails followed by haddock & chocolate mousse. Tum!

Staff very welcoming, helpful and attentive.Food at Cote is always good, but thought meal today even better than usual. Can thoroughly recommend this Godalming restaurant.

Excellent waiting staff, great ambience and delicious food, the only reason for not awarding higher was unfortunately one of our chosen starters was unavailable, although they did remove our aperitifs from the bill as a gesture of goodwill. Other than that, a lovely, enjoyable dining experience

Lovely atmosphere and service a bit overpriced though, had the veal but had to order extra side and only 2 fish goujouns on the children's meal.

Great service from the team and as always lovely food which couldnt be faulted. Staff were friendly and attentive. The set menu is so reasonably priced.

We like the Cote at Godalming, the senior staff are very good, junior staff need a bit more training! Food is fine and good value.

I've eaten here several times, and it's always been excellent - not just the food - always delicious - but also the staff - pleasant, helpful, welcoming and attentive.

Good friendly service. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The food was of a very good quality and there was plenty of choice.

Delicious, perfectly cooked veggie breakfast and my friend thought the same. Great service and lovely day for eating outside on the terrace- the carpenter drilling right next to us and shouting loudly on the phone let it down though.

This Cote has great atmosphere and is pleasant inside. The menu offers many choices and the food when it arrives tastes great. Staff are pleasant and wine list offers a broad choice. Definitely another visit will be made.

Another delicious breakfast at Cote Godalming this time to celebrate my daughter Kate's birthday. The experience was enhanced by the charming staff and the gift of my daughter's favourite Apricot Concerve - thank you so much.

My salad was basically a bowl of raddicio- mostly stalks, inedible. My main course was cold. Didn't complain as friends visiting and didn't want to spoil the evening. Won't be returning.

Service at times too keen and at others rushed. Friendly, when greeted but a bit abrupt at the end of the evening. Served by 3 different people so no rapport built

Restaurant was quiet on a Sunday evening but still a good atmosphere. Very good, friendly and attentive service. Well priced selection, very happy with meal. Will be back.

The food tonight was very good and the service was much improved from our last visit. This is a great location and we hope that they can maintain the quality at this level.

Hot delicious food served on hot plates ( too often plates not hot -an irritation hot food being served on cold plates!! ) Pleasant friendly prompt service .

Although the food was on the whole good, the service was slow and poor,. They were not as busy as when we were there before when the service was much better.

The staff were very helpful but the steaks, for a sirloin cut, were a little too fatty for our taste and we had to leave about a third of the meat. Usually, we find the food excellent there, so were disappointed this time.

Delicious food and prompt service. Waiting staff were lovely and helpful with help recommending things do the menu and suitable side dishes. Also really lovely being able to sit outside in this Côte

I think we came in at the changeover period, so staff were being updated etc., so not quite as attentive as usual. Food still good.

Good overall experience, food is consistently good but the service is too fast and the waitress was a bit pushy the past two visits. I rate it a 3!

Very good food with efficient staff. We were lucky enough to be seated outside on a warm summer evening. The menu choice was good and as we were celebrating my daughters birthday I can thoroughly recommend this venue.

The food is ok but not as good as in the Guildford restaurant. Staff are pleasant and environment too. Requested hot soup but had to return as lukewarm.
