Côte Godalming

Welcomed as we arrived good ambience and service was excellent. Food was delivered in a timely manner and usual high standard we have come to expect in Cotes.

Excellent service and fantastic food. Arrived early but got seated straight away. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was nicely presented. Highly recommend paying a visit

Good service and we all enjoyed the excellent food. A party of four, with champagne awaiting us as per our request. The only thing we don't like about this restaurant is that they add the service charge to the bill. This can be quite hefty depending on how much is spent.

We had a very pleasant meal in a nice restaurant with good service. the restaurant is well plced in the High Street with parking nearby..

excellent staff and very prompt service mussels were good as was the sea bream and steak.lovely chips house wine of a good standard.overall very pleased

Visit Côte often and never get a bad meal until tonight! My medium steak was like charcoal and one other guest had to return over done fish, dissapointing but hoping it’s a one off Friendly staff

Perfect as always, can be sure of good food and service whenever I visit Cote Godalming. One of my favourite places to eat out. Thank you.

We were a party of 12 people and I know everyone enjoyed the food if any dissatisfaction was regarding the service which at times was rather slow

Just wanted a light lunch. The chicken and walnut salad was nice but a bit boring. It was also hard to eat out of a deep bowl. The staff were very pleasant

Good atmosphere, usual efficient, friendly Cote service. Food could have been hotter but that's my only complaint and will go back to the Godalming Cote

Nice food and good service. Surprisingly busy for a Monday lunchtime which was fine as nothing worse that eating in an empty restaurant. Brioche bread and butter pudding was great

The food was average and the service was slow. We waited 20 minutes for a bottle of red wine which was very cold when it arrived.

Another super meal. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. So glad Cote opened in Godalming; every time we visit, we know we're going to have a great experience.

On my test - are main course plates emptied - an excellent score. My partner who nibbles completed the duck main. And quantity good. Service was attentive.

There was a wide menu to choose from. The food was tasty and excellent value for money. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall a very enjoyable visit.

A visit that was not up to the usually high standard re: food or service. Were handed September set menus & queried this with waiter ( Oct 6th visit). Menus taken away & put in a cupboard. Waited a while to see if any October set menus would appear. They did after a while but communication could have been better. One of the main courses was missing part of their ingredients. Pointed this out & a small bowl was provided with missing items. They did adjust bill to reflect this which was good.

Excellent menu choice including vegetarian. The service was first class - not pushy, just right. The food was delicious and not over-facing. Our birthday celebration meal was relaxed, fun and enjoyable. Thank you.

Once again we really enjoyed our breakfast visit to the Godalming Cote. The staff are always very pleasant and welcoming with a warm smile. The full English Breakfast is my favourite but my wife rings the changes which has now made it difficult to choose. Lovely restaurant and staff - 5 Star👌✔️

Great food and service all for a very good price, especially the set menu deal before 7pm - very impressed with Godalming Cote - would highly recommend.

Not greeted on arrival as the only staff member was on the phone. Not served for some time for the same reason. My guest was left waiting for their coffee.

Made very welcome on arrival and able to chose a table. Breakfast was good but not very hot although the plate was hot! Service was friendly and attentive.

Lovely food and service as always,nothing too much trouble.First time have been for breakfast,had the veggie option very tasty and hot.Will be back to visit again soon.

Service good. Steak ok but needed more sauce. Suggest offering sweet potato chips as alternative to standard chips. Prawn gratinee was well received as was the French soup.

Nice atmosphere, helpful waiters, prompt service , ok seating ( not the best) and good food but small portions. Not sure if prepared in the kitchens or central Cote supply- has a whiff of portion control but good value for what it was. Wine priced £20 for an average merlot is just about ok . First visit- would probably return.

Excellent set menu - some more additions to the December menu. Modules to start followed by whole Camembert was lovely & just the right size.

There was a good welcome when we arrived and attentive service throughout. The food was well presented and of a very good quality. Everyone had an enjoyable time.

Have been here many times as it is local and had a great value for money set 3 course lunch with my mum on my birthday. Reasonable sized portions, nice food and good service.

We had a very enjoyable evening. We chose the 3 course set menu and shared a bottle of wine between us. Good food, fuss free, good and friendly service. We will return!

Had dinner last Sat night with friends. The restaurant as always has a bit of a buzz, and felt like a good atmosphere. Food and service were both very good.

Lovely place for a lunch. Reliable food and extremely good value. Parking in the car park behind the restaurant (pay and display). Friendly staff. Outside area is pleasant.

We very much enjoyed the food and the ambience. Service was a little slow. We waited at least 20 minutes once we had sat down for someone to take our drinks order. Will go again.

Service fine but a little overly attentive but very nice atmosphere. Smoked salmon starter portion size small but crab was excellent. Mains - my companions duck was excellent as was my steak but the potatoes were dried up and not good - green salad fine but why include red onion? Companions crepe was good but the apple tart was terrible , puff pasty very tough and no puff but the apples were fine.

As always we had a great meal the food was lovely and the service was good . We were friends who hadn’t seen each other for ages so had lots to talk about but we never felt we had to hurry up and leave .

Really great birthday meal this evening with family. Service, food and money is always great. Would always highly recommend. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.

Not bad. Arrived at 1.45, which we didn’t think too late for a Friday, but by 2.30 most people seem to have gone and the staff were clearing up, having their own lunch, etc, so there wasn’t a great deal of attention. Generally I like Côtes but this wasn’t my best experience of them.

Extremely helpful staff. We were looked after extremely well and had a lovely afternoon. They even presented the birthday boy with a candle lit cake even though we hadn't told them it was a birthday celebration.

We have been there on a sundays before and have had good service even though it was a busy time. However today the service was not up to the usual standard. We had to wait a long time before our order was take. The food was fine.

Everytime we visit we always have a great meal. This time we had the christmas menu and it didn't disappoint. Food and service was excellent.
