Underwhelmed, very dry duck confit. why no pudding wine on the wine tasting menu? £130 does not offer value for money when two adults & a child are dining at 5.30pm M

My food was lovely, but my husband’s salmon was very over cooked. The ends were so hard he could not eat them. When he told the waiter he just said ‘ I will check’ and never came back. We paid for the full bill, but we were disappointed the there was no acknowledgement that the food was not up to cotes usual standards.

In my opinion the Cote restaurant chain is always excellent Food and service is always excellent

Lovely , friendly waiter very attentive . Good food, my daughter aged 4 had the kids menu steak frites , bread basket and chocolate pot ! Very impressive, it’s a regular for us .

Another excellent meal finishing with Cotes’ luscious Creme Caramel - as usual ‘to die for’!

Really nice friendly welcome, all the staff were excellent and the service too. We really enjoyed our meal, the only negative was the steak which 3 out of the 4 ordered just came with frites - a little bit of salad on the side or a a mini portion of veg would be a nice touch.

As wonderful as ever - the pan roasted pork tenderloin served with a celeriac purée, with Armagnac roasted red onion, figs and a thyme and veal jus is beyond compare; where else could you get such a meal for just £13.95? And the warm welcome and excellent hospitality from the superb staff made our visit all the more enjoyable.

The staff were friendly and efficient. I’d requested a high chair when I booked, and when I arrived there was a play pack ready for my daughter with pencils, stickers and pictures to colour in. It was fantastic - and meant we were able to enjoy a leisurely brunch, and my daughter was entertained long enough for us all to have a second coffee! Thank you for a lovely day!

Excellent food and service. Brunch. Really impressive to see the attention to detail on the Covid safe measures - a young child put her hand on a chair of a clean table as she walked past and within minutes the manager was wiping and sanitising ready for next guest. Reassuring to see this. Well done cotes Godalming - it’s great to have you back.
