Excellent service and great atmosphere. Even made friends with other people on other tables! Wine list priced reasonably and food was attractively served ...with a smile!

Popped in for a two course dinner. Steak tartare was very nice, prawn gratinee was unexciting but well cooked. Had a really well cooked steak served by some smiling staff that cheered me up that evening. Bretone chicken with side salad made a perfect healthy dinner.

A very pleasant evening, very good service and a warm, pleasant atmosphere. A much needed, sensibly priced venue in the heart of Godalming - well worth a visit.

A lovely lunch, the food was excellent and so was the service. My friend had the salmon and I had the pea and asparagus risotto and we both agreed it was very good.

Food and service excellent on a Wednesday evening. Really enjoyed the Pork Belly with Chocolate Fondant to follow. Was a first visit and will certainly be returning soon.

Small portions for the vegetarian breakfast although very nice sausage. Cold croissant.Had heard good reports of breakfast so maybe the vegetarian one is not so good.

A good meal with friends. We came in for the Specials before 7 and chose the 3 courses. Although at first I thought the course sizes were on the smaller size, on reflection, they were a good size as I was able to leave being able to bend as I hadn’t stuffed myself too much. The service staff were inconspicuous but there so didn’t intrude with our chat. A good evening. Will go back very soon. Thank you

Excellent service and ambiance but some food arrived not quite hot enough but this was soon remedied. The bill was adjusted to compensate. Most grateful for the gesture.

This was the latest visit of several over the past few months. As usual the food was of a high standard, well cooked and flavoursome. The caring help and attention given to my sister, who is severely coeliac and also dairy intolerant, as she selected her meal from the menu, were superb. It was therefore unfortunate that the carrots she ordered did not arrive with the main course and had then to be hastily prepared; when they finally arrived they were glazed with butter, which she of course could not eat. She had a further wait while this was remedied. All the above being said, huge efforts to make amends were made and the attitude of the senior front of house person and the waiting staff could in no way be faulted. It has not put us off and we shall certainly eat again at Cote Godalming

The welcome, the efficient service from the staff and the choice of dishes on the set menu made this a perfect choice for a pre theatre meal.

The menu at Cote was interesting and varied. We all had great food in a lovely setting. The service was excellent, very efficient for a busy Saturday night.

Another fantastic experience at Côte. Service was great as always, staff attentive and very friendly. Food was delicious as always. Would thoroughly recommend you pay a visit.

Delightful visit. Our only problem was that the table was a little small for mussels and all extra dishes. Everything was delicious as always. Must now plan another visit !

Food was excellent and the ambience and decor is great. Service was good but not exceptional. I would recommend for small groups and couples. Would definitely visit again.

It was a really good experience as usual. There were five of us and we all rated the food as excellent. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. I have been to this restaurant several times now with family and it is now my restaurant of choice. Big thanks to all at Cote Godalming.

The waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The moules for one of our party were mostly empty , another serving delivered and not charged for.

Cloth napkins great - proper tablecloths would be lovely. Very enjoyable meal - thank you. Please do not automatically add the gratuity to the bill. That is for the diners to decide.

Excellent food on the Table d'hote menu. Portion size good (for oldies). We asked for a quiet table, which we were given. All round, a good evening catching up with old friends.

The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waitress was attentive. The food was lovely and all our dishes were well presented with portion sizes good.

My duck was exceptionally good and it was a bonus to have the free bottle of wine offer. The service, ambience and food at Cote Godalming continues to uphold the brands excellent reputation. I have eaten in Cote Restaurants all over the Country and never had a bad meal.

The restaurant was very well organised - knew straightaway we had the wine offer - for our dinner - no fuss, just sat us down with the menu and everything went very smoothly!

Lovely setting, attentive staff, nice atmosphere. Good menu, though good be changed a bit more often and a bit more varied. Good value for money and would recommend.

Friendly staff, good food. Much enjoyed the rabbit parmentier but but had to ask for the carrots to be heated as were barely tepid. Rest of meal was great.

We went there for lunch on my wife’s birthday, I quietly mentioned to the waiting staff it was her birthday and they brought her desert with a candle in it and sang happy birthday And the food was great too

Excellent service and very good food. The two and three course lunch menu is very good value for money. We were given a table of our choice and allowed to linger and chat over coffee. I haven’t been for a while but will be returning.

We took our daughter-in-law and two baby grandsons for lunch. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the beef dish was excellent, not to mention the complimentary bottle of Merlot.

Good quality food at a reasonable price together with timely and friendly service. The January offer of a free bottle of wine only added to the enjoyment.

The staff are wonderful always smiling and eager to help they even took our coats from us to hang them up. Loved the French Breakfast

First visit after being advised how good. We all thought there was a very good choice on the menu. Thought the beef tartare was unusually good ( not easy to get right) a bit too much food for me but the men were ok. Looking forward to going again. Just slightly chilly when we went in and one person in the family is a sound expert-get the speaker looked at they need EQing.

We enjoyed some excellent food served by wonderful, attentive staff. The wine was delicious too so it was perfect all in all! Would certainly highly recommend.

Another good meal at Cote Godalming. We are always impressed with the choice and standard of food. The ambiance is pleasant and casual. However, the service is not quite right. The empty wine and fizzy water bottles were taken away and we had to ask for second bottles of both. As they ran out well before we had finished our main course we feel a fully competent waiter would have asked if we wanted more when the empty bottles were removed. It is a picky comment, but it does prevent a higher score!

Very competent. Food tasty, service fair, nice surrounding with a pleasant ambience. My husband enjoyed his steak. We would probably use this branch of Cote again in the future.

A busy Friday lunchtime but as usual the service was excellent. The staff are always friendly. I had The Rabbit Parmentier which was delicious and my friend had the Sea bass again lovely.

We had a lovely evening, service always good. We had a problem with a steak but this was dealt with in a very efficient way no fuss.

This was our first time at Cote, Godalming, though I have been to several others elsewhere. We had a friendly welcome and I was pleased to see that the tables are well spaced, as some Cotes are rather cramped. The food was delicious and the service was paced well. On going in I happened to mention that it was the birthday of my friend and they appeared to take no notice. However, when the deserts came, hers had a lit candle in it and the two of the staff sang happy birthday: a nice touch!

Good service. Tasty food. Inclusion of Optional gratuity should not be added. That should be at the discretion of customer, not prompted by management. Otherwise would have got 6

As ever the food was excellent. It was well-presented & enough but not excessive. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm & friendly & the lighting perfect. Our waiter from Bulgaria was attentive & friendly. A young family was seated next to us & it was wonderful to see such well-behaved children. This is not always the case, even at Côte. We look forward to our next visit.

Great service food & experience. Wonderful choice of dishes to suit Ant palli. No waiting for a table. Could take ones time choosing. Well done!
