Côte Godalming

The food was good, the atmosphere lovely and the staff were very attentive and helpful. We eat at Cote Godalming regularly and whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, we can be sure of consistency and good value.

This is a particularly pleasant venue. The quality of the food is consistently good and the specials are always worth considering. The service is efficient and an optional charge included in the bill.

Fantastic wine, lovely tuna starter, meat terrine etc, bread very hard and stale though which was a shame. Rabbit pie beautiful and good steak and lovely risotto.

Enjoyed the food and service. The Celeriac was under-cooked and hard - hence not top marks. Otherwise it was really good and we enjoyed our celebration.

It is a nice restaurant with good service and a good menu. The meals we had were good and reasonably priced. It is in a nice town.

Friendly staff and lovely food - we were a party of 6 meeting up for a chat and brunch. Reserved a table and were seated in a side area away from the hub of the restaurant. Would have preferred a table near some natural light.

We had a very enjoyable meal, and we commented that when we asked for slightly different options to those on the menu, our wishes were dealt with with no problem at all. I am having difficulty knowing whether red is good or green is good. Perhaps you should make this clear. I am assuming 6 out of 6 is good.

As with our previous experience at Cote in Godalming the overall experience was excellent. Great food, service and atmosphere. We will return in the near future

The service and food was, as usual, excellent. A very good summer special menu made choosing difficult, but we managed it. A very good experience indeed.

I booked a table for 6 people but we were given a table set for eight in a small room at the back on our own although the restaurant wasn’t that full. It was freezing cold - the air conditioning was on full blast. Service was slow - I think they forgot us because we were so out of the way. Really disappointing because this was a family reunion.

Great English breakfast, food well cooked and presented well. Service as always was good. Attentive staff. Sat outside which was nice. Would recommend Côte in Godalming.

We had very good experience, when we visited for an evening meal, the menu is large, with veggie and vegan sections too, service was very good, the atmosphere relaxing.

As always a very enjoyable time had by all three of us. Lovely setting. Very attentive staff. Three lovely meals had by us all. Veal. Moules mariner, and a Tuna special which was Devine.

overall service good, have only given 5 as the mashed fennel was woody and had to ask for water glasses,but any establishment can have a slightly off day.

Great food and atmosphere. The menu is changed regularly and is interesting and innovative. It is a pity that there are so many wasps around in the outside seating area at this time of year.

As the weather has been so nice we ate our meal outside. A nice setting and large umbrellas and heaters to cover all eventualities. Food was very good with a good selection to choose from.

Excellent waiter, good food, too hot but air con turned up when requested. Steak excellent, good ambience. Advised to sit to a pit party. Will go again

Although we arrived Half an hour before we had booked, we were seated immediately, and swiftly and courteously served an enjoyable and reasonably priced meal.

Evening spoilt due to our main courses being squeezed on to another tables order and thus our side orders not being served, we had to go and find a member of staff to resolve the issue. This did mean that our main courses were not as warm as when they were origionally served.

I always find Cote Godalming a welcoming place to visit, friendly staff but not over attentive.The inside temperature is pleasantly cool on a hot day and the food is always of a good standard.Changing the menu monthly is an added bonus and an ancouragement to eat there more frequently.Will return again and again.

Good food, good prices, courteous a quick service, only let down by a table nearby with noisy fighting children. We were pleased with our complimentary drinks

Great visit as normal. Although a hot day decided to sit inside which was very cool and comfortable. Food was its normal consistent good standard, staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. A nice relaxing lunch out.

A very pleasant location. Drinks out on the terrace followed by a delicious, well-prepared 3-course meal. Good, friendly sevice, and reasonably priced. Will come again.

Pleasant meal with nice food. I would recommend the fish. Overall service was good. Only draw back was they got the bill wrong but this was put right when I pointed it out

As usual, extremely good. Food excellent and service good-just a bit slow with bill and easing us away! Otherwise a typically perfect experience. Will obviously be back.

A firm favourite and always great with gluten free options. A small criticism. They forgot our chips. Hardly a crime but had to wait and my partners toast with his pate was cold.

As always, we were very satisfied with eating at Cote. The menu was ineresting and varied, the food we chose was well-presented and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We had very tasty food, with comfortable portions, plenty but not huge. I liked the July specials, especially the sparkling wine based appetiser. Just attentive enough staff.

As usual, great service and fab food. Menus offer super choice and every course satisfied. Accommodate gluten free need well-could have offered more bread for yummy, rich ‘duck’ pate starter. Otherwise perfect!

Sat outside in a nice sheltered area and could watch people walking past. Breakfast as normal was very good and we all have different things. Think the formule menu is a good deal

Service and food were excellent but find the 12.5per cent service charge a bit steep. We only left the usual 10per cent. Perhaps you might change this as it puts us off returning.

Nice inside in the air conditioned restaurant as it was very warm outside. Had a good meal with friendly service and we have eaten there many times before. I do find it a little irritating that the staff at all Cotes are obviously trained to keeping offering you add ons from the menu and keep coming up to ask if you want any more drinks but have learnt to just say no thank you.

It was excellent, as usual! My guests and I had great service and excellent food. Only downside was the wasps in the garden, meant we had to sit inside on such a gorgeous evening.

Great staff and good prices. Nice and cool in the hot weather. Well appointed restaurant. Quite varied menu. Good wine list and Meteor beer! Recommended.
