Côte Godalming

Beautifully presented breakfast, and pretty good deal if you go for the complet option. Some really good options for vegetarians too. As always service could not be faulted.

Have visited a few times and previously felt the atmosphere wasn't as good as some of the other Cote's we have visited but felt tonight the atmosphere was better but don't know why

Good place to visit for late Sunday breakfast. Fresh orange juice and good coffee got us off to a good start! Efficient staff - who were patient with a large number of buggies and youngsters to accommodate too.

Excellent steak for the guys, could have done with a tad more choice of vegetarian dishes for others in our party. Overall, very pleased, we will be back.

Food and service was much better than my previous visit. Prices seem to have crept up somewhat though and we didn't choose the most expensive items on menu!

We are regular visitors to Cote in Godalming since it opened. Great food, excellent service and a good choice of wine. Only comment is my husband ordered the moules and said they were rather small for this time of year

Lovely breakfast, very good deal for juice, coffee and full cooked breakfast for £10.50. Really good service, food was very tasty. Definitely be back soon!

We enjoyed the ambience, tables not too crowded. The intervals between the courses were just right. I enjoyed the moules frites, which reminded me of times in Brussels. My 3 companions were also very pleased with their choices.

Great service and great food all round. Size of each course felt band on... left you wanting a touch more on each course (a sign of good tasty food too!) which meant 3 courses left me just right. Attentive staff, and felt like they couldn’t do enough.

Busy bustling place very popular. It has lovely decor with space for large groups and tables for two with a nice atmosphere . Service was very quick and food came fast and was delicious will return .

Food and service very good however we do not like gratuities added on the bill, we prefer to pay our own tip. The gratuity was on the bill and we had to mention this to have it taken off.

Great set menu with some new additions to it for November! Langoustine were beautifully tender & tasty. Terrine was excellent. Hake & pork for main courses. Great attentive staff - service with a smile.

We felt very rushed and this was a birthday celebration meal so we wanted to be able to sit, chat and feel relaxed. One person order steaks frites and the frites came nearly 10 minutes after the steak had been bought to the table

The staff were attentive without being intrusive. A few crumbs were still on the table when we arrived. They were most apologetic and helpful in removing them promptly. We look forward to our next visit

As usual a very good meal and service. I would recommend the is restaurant for anyone who likes a good meal at very reasonable prices.

Cote always provide good food, good service and good ambience at good prices. This is really great restaurant to have locally and very highly recommended.

French onion soup followed by great steak and gluten free fish pie. Love the gluten free choices. Wonderful friendly service, lovely end to the fireworks evening.

Good menu and very attentive staff. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Prices reasonable. Comfortable and not too noisy. All and all a good experience

Very pleasant experience with a couple who had never been to Cote before who were very impressed and will now try the Cote at Woking Surrey. Very relaxed atmosphere and god service by the staff.

Fantastic evening all round, with great service and delicious food! The restaurant was busy but has plenty of space and the staff made sure we were attended to promptly. Will definitely be returning!

We all had the Great value early bird menu. One of the party wanted a different vegetarian option to the one on the menu which they agreed to. Good atmosphere and nice surroundings. Lovely pear salad

WEnt for brunch on a Saturday. Pleasant atmosphere, lovely staff, food was delicious and the breakfast menu is very good. Good value. Nice smart clean environment and outside seating

Food excellent but service very inattentive and amateur - charged double for son’s dessert. 12.5% service charge excessive. Lovely decor and great conversion of old surgery.

We had a fantastic time, however the service was very slow to begin with, All the food was great and when we called the bill we were not charged for one bottle of sparkling wine as I think the staff knew we had been kept waiting,

Excellent meal. Unfortunately my fish was slightly undercooked but was rectified promptly and I was not charged. Very professional staff. My friends and I love it there. Good value for money.

As always a very enjoyable, excellent value' early evening meal. Good service and nice ambience, Enjoyed breaded languistines, moules and frites and "apple crumble" and vanilla ice cream to finish!

This is a well designed, comfortable and spacious restaurant. The fixed price menu is always varied, interesting and well priced. Staff are pleasant and efficient without being intrusive.

A perfect lunchtime setting .All the staff are most attentive with a pleasing attitude nothing was too much trouble. The menu is very imaginative with many choices to temp your palette.A very good experience.

Great food, friendly service, nice setting, relaxed atmosphere and clean.

The food was excellent. All the dishes were memorable especially the Moule Marinere. My wife commented on her Coq au Vin that it was even better than she could have produced - a very rare comment. The service was welcoming and attentive.

It was a long wait for food this time as we were at a busy time. Waitress was lovely and food hot and tasty.Will be back

Never had a dud meal at Cote until this summer and now have had 2 consecutive meals (one in London and now Gidalming) that left us thinking that Cote has got too big to bother. Was disappointed with our table although we had booked quite a few days in advance - slotted into a space between 2 tables for couples that were really nice. Next time (if we go to Cote again after our recent experiences) will book direct as I think we would have got a better table if we had - so overall unhappy customers

The food was well cooked, and presented. I think the menu needs refreshing there are too many fish and chicken dishes relative to everything else.

Food very good and very reasonably priced (we had the set 3 course lunch). Service friendly and good but not 100% (we had to remind them about the coffee we'd ordered)

Always a great experience! Cote offer value for money and consistently good service no matter which Cote I visit. Food is delicious and well presented.

Great food and good service. The October menu was excellent - I can particularly recommend the artichoke side dish. We will definitely be returning in November.

Good as always friendly efficient Good service food good busy which is always which improves atmosphere. Nothing else you can say when a restaurant is good you will keep going back.

Food and service were excellent but the experience was spoiled slightly by the number of very noisy children in the restaurant. Parents did not seem to notice this!

Enjoyed lunch with a friend. Really nice setting. Greeted with a smile, followed by prompt service. Food as expected - Tasty, well presented and hot. Set menu reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and friendly but it would be appreciated if staff would limit the amount of times asking how the meal is. Once is enough. Other wise most enjoyable and will go back.

Food excellent; service nicely discreet. Will return for another Friday lunch sooner rather than later. Restaurant very convenient and spacious and in a good location

nice evening but let down by warm dessert wine, microwaved dessert and a glass of cranberry juice that wasn't full and was mostly ice. Didn't complain at the time as would have spoilt the evening

We had the set menu, which was good both in value and taste. Staff were very attentive at first, but we got a little forgotten after the main course, but then it enabled us to digest that adequately before desert.

Another excellent meal today at lunchtime. The food was excellent & the service was friendly and very efficient. Well done, Cote of Godalming. I will be returning many times in the future.

Lovely food. Good menu choice including full gluten-free menu. Helpful staff. Able to give guidance on whether "specials" could easily be adapted to accommodate coeliac disease.

The complimentary wine was a great bonus to this meal. We had the red wine, which was a merlot, and it was very good. The food was excellent as always.
