Had to ask for drinks by going into restaurant Then again when another guest arrived After 45 mins had to go Into restaurant to ask if we could order food But we’re moved inside swiftly when flies covered our tanle

Great service and great food as always. Used for a working lunch so speed of service is always important when you're trying to squeeze another meeting in to your week. Cannot fault.

Had a lovely experience . Food exceptional and service excellent . It was very hot so the air conditioning was a must. All in all a very good evening

Excellent meal from the evening set menu and very good value overall. This is the first time we have visited our local Cote and were pleasantly surprised by how large and spacious it was compared with the London branches we have visited previously.

I have been here a number of times and the food is always reliably excellent and the service very good. Last night was a birthday meal for me and the staff added a few extra special things that really made my night a treat. This is my favourite place to eat in Godalming. The atmosphere is relaxed and I had a great night. Thank you so much!

A lovely comfortable restaurant, light airy space indoors with a well thought out area out of doors. Attentive staff, good food - an altogether enjoyable experience.

Had a great meal of the set menu with prompt service at a reasonable price despite the restaurant being very busy. Will be back again.

Service was appalling, food over cooked. I have not had a good experience at Côte Godalming, it’s a mess. Such a lovely space but always let down by food and service. Disappointing

Lovely lunch from July menu served by friendly experienced staff outside in the sun! The efficiwncy of Cote staff in timing of the courses and drinks is unsurpassed.

Greeted warmly on arrival and told where our friends were waiting for us. Service was efficient but not intrusive. I had the risotto which was really nicely done with just a hint of mint. Others had the chicken and steak respectively and each thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Creme brulee was done perfectly as were the apple crumble and creme caramels. Everything was unhurried in areally good atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff. A very enjoyable evening.

Great food and service. Well cooked food at a very reasonable price point for dinner. Good ambience with attentive but unobtrusive staff. Thank you we will come again.

Excellent service and value for money. Food of a high quality. A great place to catch up over a light lunch and the creme caramel was gorgeous.

Always excellent - regardless of the time of day. Staff always friendly and helpful (even with a boisterous two year old in tow) and good always prompt to arrive and delicious, without being extortionate.

As usual the cote concept never fails to deliver - really great service complimented by good ambiance and a very pleasant alfresco dinning area for a summers evening.

Good service, food and location. It was very empty today. The area it is in is very nice. One of the steaks we ordered was over cooked and was replaced by the staff.

Consistently high standard of food, with attentive, friendly and welcoming staff. I always enjoy my dining experience at Cote, Godalming, which also benefits from a lovely al fresco dining area.

I would not fault it at all. Thr food and staff both lovely. Definitely be back and would highly recommend to people that I know

Lovely meal, sat outside. My only criticism is that it’s all a bit fast! We had barely sat down and the starters were there and then the mains very quickly after that. You feel a bit rushed and it wasn’t busy so felt there was no need.

Cote has a good menu and staff are efficient and friendly. I chose the pork belly but was disappointed as skin was not crisp. However when I told the waiter he quickly took it away and crisped it up. My friends enjoyed their meals very much. I will definitely go back because the food is very good and the staff are excellent

We had a lovely meal for my husbands birthday, it was lovely and cool in the restaurant, his favourite meal was one of the July specials and we were made a fuss of, couldn't really ask for more!

Once again Cote in Godalming was excellent. The staff in particular were very keen to look after us, always with a smile. Food was excellent

The food was delicious as it was the last time I visited, the service was efficient and the room was really busy, but not crowded, which made for a great atmosphere.

Lovely lunch today for three people. Two from the set lunch menu the other from the a la carte. Set lunch menu starter was smoked mackerel followed by fillet of plaice. Both excellent. Steak frites chosen from the a la carte. All very good indeed thank you.

The restaurant was not busy but the food and service was poor. The staff seemed uninterested in the customer. Nothing like a French restaurant at all. Very disappointing.

Service very good and food up to its usual standard. Good indoor and outside eating. We did book and think this is recommended. Prices reasonable.

An excellent meal. My friends had never been before and loved it. Favourites were the Calamari, Breton chicken and steak. The wine was excellent, especially the Cotes de Gascogne.

Excellent food and service. A great opportunity to sit outside to enjoy our weather with excellent food. Lovely complimentary drinks on arrival. Creme brûlée is their best dessert.

We chose the restaurant for a 70th birthday celebration and because we received the offer for a free bottle of rose. When we went with another friend the week before we were presented with the bottle in an ice bucket without asking. On this occasion, we waited and waited but nothing came

Cool oasis on a very hot day.Most enjoyable.We will be going again soon. one of the many Cotes around and in London that we have visited and will continue to do so.

As always, the food, service and ambience were second to none. The staff can never do enough for you and are always pleasant and happy to help. The consistency of quality is amazing and yet again we weren't disappointed.

The free bottle of rose wine was nice. The June specials were clearly the value-for-money thing to go for - will know for another time.

very good food always to the same high standards, a very good wine list and nicely explained for those who are not sure what to choose. Staff provide a very friendly traditional service.

Quicker service on arrival waited for a while before drinks order taken. Food very good and staff attentive although slow to clear plates from table which was small for four.

Have visited lots of Cotes and they are consistently good. We have always had great service and food at Cote Godalming which is our local one. Can highly recommend.

Asked waitress for a 10 minute interlude between starter and main course...main came out within 2 minutes. I didn't think I was actually in a race to eat my food. Complimentary water was warm, had to ask for some ice.Thought the water was supposed to be chilled?

It was OK. The service was friendly but not completely on point, as we had to pour our own wine for example. The food was OK but again, not amazing. However, it was reasonably priced. Sadly, being on the High Street though isn't always a good thing - lots of drunk people walking past if you're trying to sit outside and enjoy the evening ambience.

As always a winning breakfast tasty fresh and served with a smile. But I did notice the portions have got smaller since we last visited!

Excellent friendly service who could not be more helpful. Great food and brilliant value for money especially breakfast. Hard to beat. Creme brûlée still the best pudding.

We were served with an excellent tasty breakfast. Our party of 7 perhaps didn't help the staff by arriving at slightly different times, with the result that the order had to be taken in three goes! The kitchen people were busy, so there was a bit of a weight before the last of our orders was delivered, but that was understandable and the staff were apologetic.

Lack of atmosphere compared to Guildford which buzzes but food good although the duck was a bit dry - staff could be more congenial rather than just perfunctory

Enjoyable well cooked French Breakfast in a totally quiet restaurant. Excellent service. Enjoyed the Toasted Brioche in particular with the Boudin Noir. Would certainly go again

Warm welcome with knowledgeable staff especially as I have special dietary requirements being coeliac, very quick service with great food and wine on offer. Will definitely go again.

Lovely tuna nisoise salad and very friendly service from the staff.
