A great food choice at a variety of prices, from extensive menus. The service was very good and attentive. I was impressed by the overall atmosphere.

Lively atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Had lunch here with work colleagues on Tuesday, January 15. We chose from various menus and all were good.

Nice food, pleasant ambience (if a bit chilly!). Also, waiter was happy to adapt the serving to our dietary needs. I was impressed by the quietness compared with the Guildford branch.

Very comfortable surroundings in a very old and interesting building in the High Street. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Chose from the set menu and food was very good.

The staff are delightful, food is delicious and the service is speedy. Who could want for more? Especially, if one has later appointments, it is great to be able to pop in for a lovely meal, first.

Lovely food and good service. I’ve eaten here before and always enjoyed it. Only criticism is that they automatically apply a 12.5% service charge. 10% would be more reasonable.

Nice relaxing breakfast with friends on New Years Day after a late New Years Eve night out. A little quieter than usual here but food and service good as usual.

Lovely meal tonight, crispy duck confit & great goats cheese starter. Great service even though they were very busy for New Year. Looking forward to coming back in January

Had a birthday meal with my wife on 23rd December and the food we had was excellent. The service was very good too so we will definitely be going there again !

Such a good restaurant. Consistently good quality and excellent service whether it’s Godalming or Newcastle which is unusual for a chain. Always an enjoyable experience.

Staff attentive and food of a high standard. Well located in the heart of Godalming. Will definitely go back for a return visit. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Being Christmas it was a bit noisy, but otherwise superb food and attentive and friendly service. The 12 per cent service charge seemed somewhat unusual but well deserved too

Part of 6 with most of us choosing from the early evening menu - bargain. Good range of choices and between us we covered most options - everyone was very happy with starters, mains and puds - I always enjoy the mussels in white wine and followed that with a tasty sea bream dish and my favourite of iced berries with white chocolate sauce - delicious. We ordered the house wines - everyone happy with the red and I would particularly recommend the house white if you like a crisp, citrusy glass. Service as always efficient and pleasant. A very successful evening all round.

Clean, good, professional service, food was delivered and presented well and we all enjoyed our meals. Some had the set menu and some order from the Main menu. Would recommend

The breakfast menu was nice with a enough choice. Staff very attentive and pleasant. I like hot coffee so mine could have been a little hotter. Nice, warm, busy atmosphere. We met up with friends who had never thought about meeting for breakfast and they were pleasantly surprised that they quite enjoyed the experience. We would have brunch again at godalming cotes.

Perfect table out of the way so we could enjoy our anniversary with some delicious food and drinks with uninterupted conversation. Staff were lovely and it was great to have the chance to chat to a few of them while enjoying the time with my husband.

We had a lovely lunch as normal at this venue - good food and well presented. Was not too busy so was relaxing. Staff were attentive throughout.

Good value for money. Good choice of menus. Efficient service and friendly, but not hovering to get you out when finished! Will go again soon.

Lovely venue in the Godalming. Very good food. Our waitress was efficient but not very friendly or jolly. Not a huge problem but we were there for my 60th and it would have been nice to be served by someone who smiled!

As usual the food and service were excellent and at a very affordable price. Add to that the nicely presented interior decorating and “dressing” made a very pleasant lunch.

Once again an excellent meal and great gluten free options The Christmas menu was delicious, especially the panperdu (or something like that) The rib eye was tender and beautifully seasoned

Good setting. Well appointed. Great menu. Value for money more than acceptable. Parking easy in local car park behind Cote - and nearby. Service very slow.

Very good value meal, reliable quality and a good choice on pre 7pm menu. The creme caramel was a delight. good atmosphere with subtle lighting.

There were 6 of us and i had requested a round table which we got so we were all able to have just one conversation. All enjoyed our food

6 of us enjoyed a convivial working breakfast at Cote. It was really helpful to have plates cleared away promptly and unobtrusively so as to provide table space, once we had finished. As ever, the food and coffee provided were excellent.

Unsure of policy regarding free drink. Was told needed to order from a la carte but on checking email it said specials menu as well so was misled and had to spend more than I'd bargained for

Great food, lovely service from a young waiter but the waitress that took over was surly in the extreme. Don't work in public facing service if you don't like the public. Really let Cote down and ruined what had been a lovely experience

Excellent hospitality but there were 6 of us for breakfast and none of us had food properly hot enough. Apologies were given with a promise to improve in the future.

My review does not differ from those I have posted in the past. Food was absolutely excellent (why else would I keep coming back) and the staff were very helpful and courteous as always.

Excellent all round, a lively place, with good service, menu available for veggie, vegan and now doing deals for two with free bottle of wine.

Great location, great food, great service as normal, we will be returning next time in Godalming another Cote now visited a few more to go.

Great food with a seasonal variation. Portions are not large, but enough, and choice of sides can be made. Had a crisp house while wine which was great. The restaurant was very clean, subdued lighting. The staff were efficient, but allowed time to choose. Would recommend.
