Côte Godalming

Cote in Godalming is always great, only slight complaint was the lack of any substantial "Father's Day" menu - just three "Weekend Specials", which seemed a little bit of a waste.

It was nice and quiet at first but we didn't stay as long as we might have due to the increased noise. Food was excellent and service was lovely.

We had a nice meal with good service. The building is nice.

Excellent pre theatre meal. Asparagus tartine - very tasty; sea bass fillet - perfectly cooked; crème caramel - delicious.

Great visit. Was a hottish day so not very full which made it very relaxing. Lovely food, well cooked, perfect.

Nice relaxing restaurant. Good tasty food although couple of ingredients seemed missing in one of the dishes which was a shame.

As usual we had comfortable seating , fairly quick service and the food was enjoyed by all four of us. This branch of Cote isn't noisy on a weekday lunchtime which so you can have a conversation without difficulty. Undoubtedly this is our restaurant of choice in the area as there is always something on the menu in each category which appeals.

The waiters accommodated a late arrival by one of our group very well. The service was excellent and the food very good everyone enjoyed their meal. We asked for a quiet table and were given just that.

Once again the standard of the food was excellent, but particular praise must be given to the staff whose high standard of service was accompanied by a smile.

This restaurant used to be my old doctors surgery! My 2 daughters dine here all the time and persuaded me to take them there so thought I would take a look. Overall impressions were, good quality food, warm welcoming from staff. Seating outside looked very cool too especially for those warm summer evenings with family and friends.

Great food and service. We were a party of 8 having brunch.

My wife had a seafood linguine but one of the mussels hadn't opened. This had an unpleasant aroma that permeated the meal and got worse as the dish was eaten. Such a mussel should not have been served especially as it goes on last. The taste in her mouth lasted all day and into this morning.

Wonderful set menu for dinner. Sardines & meat selection for starters followed by the sea bream. La grade blanc was great. Finished off with cheese & bread. Great service with a smile. Thank you!

The staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. Despite it being a busy night, the food was served in a timely fashion, and was excellent.

Good food, helpful staff and nice atmosphere. Very pleased to see that the tables are a reasonable distance apart so that the pose levels are down and one can hold a decent conversation.

I love the outside area at Cote Godalming. A lovely little sun trap. The french onion soup is divine too :)

First visit to Cote Godalming for Brunch, and as we’ve come to expect from the brand we had an excellent experience. I chose the Veggie breakfast as part of the Formule choice which includes either a fresh juice or a hot drink and was very good value. My friend had the Full English which he said was very tasty and looked lovely. The staff were great - attentive but not in your face, and the restaurant has a good ambiance. Cote are a small chain - big enough to manage but still small enough to care. We never hesitate to book and recommend to others, as we’ve always had a good time at any of their restaurants we’ve visited, and Godalming is no exception......well done Cote!

Incorrect drink and then one of our party without a starter for 10 minutes. Otherwise, nice food albeit expensive for what it is.

Really enjoyable. staff efficient and friendly. Food, as always, well cooked and presented. Also impressed with how they addressed my shellfish allergy.

Lunch was cooked perfectly and staff were helpful and friendly. The duck on the prestige menu was superb - lovely crackling.

Food and service is always good at Godalming but for some reason lacks atmosphere - not sure why

Quick evening meal before Godalming Comedy Club. Early evening menu was superb value and all 3 courses were very good.

Average vegetarian options, they seem to cater for more meat eaters. The place is lovely inside and outside on the terrace. Lack of plant food choices

For our breakfast party of 6 web enjoyed good service, friendliness and welcoming staff with good food and atmosphere.

We had a lovely quiet table at the front of the restaurant as requested because we wanted to chat. lots of happy groups in the back. Food good as always.

Great food and service, however the one thing I think the staff are trained to do that is irritating is keep pushing extra side orders and asking if you want more drinks to keep have to say no thank you!

Great April set menu - had the whitebait & ratatouille/ goats cheese for starters followed by boeuf en croute. Both delicious followed by the cheese board. Service friendly & efficient. Thank you x

We went early (for a Sunday morning) and the quality of everything was outstanding; food, service, value for money were all excellent. I always enjoy Cote but it was even more agreeable as we had a significant portion of the restaurant to ourselves. It might even encourage me to get up earlier on subsequent weekends :)))

Great pre-theatre meal. Food was up to the usual high standard and although service was good it wasn't up to usual standard.

The waiter wasn't very friendly as they usually are. The food was the usual Cote food and nothing new and the noise from the next table should have been told to tone down their conversation as we were unable to hear ourselves speak.
