Côte Godalming

Despite a busy restaurant the staff coped with a table of 12 very well, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.

We are local and regulars here and rarely had a bad experience. Today we were a table of 9 for lunch - everyone enjoyed their food and great service especially considering we were a large group.

Once again a really enjoyable evening. Comprehensive menu, food well cooked and delicious, atmosphere busy but no too loud. Service up to usual high standard. Cote restaurants guaranteed to be good value with high standards.

As usual, our meal ticked all the boxes! Staff never rush us but also, when advised we were needing to get away quickly, they produced our coffees and the bill promptly. Good experience altogether,

Great family lunch with a relaxed atmosphere, and something for everyone on the menu

It was a lovely meal, fantastic service and a very relaxed atmosphere.

A friendly welcome as we entered. The waiter was very cold and off putting and we felt like leaving but, as my friend was treating me to my birthday lunch I let it go! ( it was my recommendation) We enjoy going there normally. So I was disappointed. I did notice that the staff were under a lot of pressure as the place was quite full and the waiter warmed up towards the end.

Very good service and value Food was of a high standard apart from one dish. The pasta in the goats cheese ravioli was very undercooked and not at all pleasant. The problem was dealt will well when we commented on this and the dish was replaced. It was much better second time.

Having eaten in many Cote’s, we found the same high standard as always and will definitely be back.

With limited time to spare before a concert, we booked Cote Godalming for an evening meal. Prompt, polite service and delicious food. My goats cheese salad was packed with tasty roast veg (fennel, onion, butternut squash, courgette and red pepper) and came with a generous helping of olive tapenade on toast. Would definitely come again.

Had a stressful day and this was the perfect antidote. Food was great, atmosphere was busy but chilled and the service was great, there when you wanted it to be and then gone.

Waiter was lovely. Both myself and a friend missed the minute steak that used to be on the lunchtime menu instead of the ribeye but the food was still good.

For an early morning start food and service excellent and reasonable

I regularly dine at Cote at a number of locations as the food is consistently good. However at Godalming, our evening had the shine taken off it by waiting staff who rushed us through every course, to a point where we had to check the website mid-meal to check they weren’t closing early. At around 10 pm, staff began tidying up the restaurant around us, completely spoiling the quiet atmosphere we’d began our meal in. Showed inexperience, a lack of courtesy and awareness and we shall avoid that branch in future.

Friendly, polite welcome, good service and interesting, tasty food. Quiet atmosphere.

Good evening with friends, food good , we weren’t rushed

Food was fabulous- attention to detail second to none. Everything clean, amazing. Just one thing, our waiter was very attentive, a little too much maybe? Felt as if we were being rushed slightly. It is difficult to get level of attention right, that we understand but maybe not to be asked what we would like to eat so soon after we arrived. He was a brilliant waiter, it must be said but perhaps a little more time for us to choose as the choices are amazing

Booked table for 2 for today lunchtime to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. Welcome was great we were offered a free Kir Royale, we had a very enjoyable 3 course meal reasonably priced & promptly served. Just what we wanted.

Nice atmosphere, good, quick service. Very Nice food. Only negative is the inclusion of the 25% service charge on the bill. We prefer to give it directly to the waiter. We could have asked for it to be removed however we do not think it should be included on the bill.
