Excellent service and food on a busy New Year’s Eve

1st time using this restaurant but won’t be the last. Very good food nice helpful staff will definitely use again

We were given the quiet table we asked for and as always had a thoroughly satisfactory lunch. Cote is reasonable value for money and it’s success will be keeping that way.

A lovely meal in pleasant surroundings. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive. A great start to Christmas.

Burnt garlic bread, sloppy fish pie. Slow service and not busy, had to keep asking for drinks etc. Cold in restaurant. Not a good experience as I have been there many times before.

We were impressed with the service, especially as it was very busy. Only one slight complaint I found the fruit salad quite a disappointing. The fruit was pretty tasteless, but the plain yogurt was excellent. Earlier in the year there was a red fruit compote and yogurt which was much superior.

Last Friday before Xmas & several Xmas parties expected, the service was as always professional, courteous & with a smile! Lunch choices made from the set menu & prestige menu from eggs Benedictine, French onion soup & langoustine tails for starters followed by breaded chicken with fennel, salmon & a goats cheese salad. All of it was excellent. Thank you! Merry Xmas to all the staff.

I have organised two Christmas meals this season at Cote for 10 and 14 people. Both the festive lunch and dinner were excellent and the service very well orchestrated. The free bottles of Cremant for the dinner were a bonus! Thank you Cote at Godalming.

A special thank you: our granddaughter's steak was not quite to her liking (she was being fussy). You immediately spotted this, dealt with it quickly and she then declared the steak as "Yummy"!

Two elderly people, so some hearing problems, but we expect that at this time of year. Lively, animated and nice Christmas atmosphere with attentive but not pushy waiters - and excellent food.

Our visits to Godalming Cote are always perfect. The service is impeccable...

It was lovely. Even though I asked for more sauce for my stew as it was a bit dry, it was still as good as when we went in the summer. The staff are a great team. Its such a lovely experience.

Excellent meal and fantastic service. Fillet Steak was cooked to perfection, and as requested, and waiter was attentive through out. I look forward to my next visit.

Unfortunately very poor service at lunch today. Waiter wasn't really good at a customer facing role (came across as quite patronising and rude but maybe just poor sense of humour??) and orders were received late. When food arrived it was delicious and everyone enjoyed the meal - just a shame about the service. Comp'd the meal that was late which was honourable but not the best experience as it was a special occasion too.

Dined with a friend at lunch time. Friendly greeting and offered choice of table. Had a choice of 3 different menus. Chose the set 2 course menu. I had the salad and my friend ordered the haddock. Both were very good. Altogether a really enjoyable time at a reasonable price.

AlwAys a good place to eat. Usually go to Farnham.

Fine tasty food well presented. All staff very polite and helpful. High noise level when first seated which did reduce on the changes of diners. Overall a very enjoyable meal and evening and we will certainly return in the future

Good service and lovely food. Small htch in that an ordered garlic bread had to be asked for again and came to the table with mains rather than starter. However the cost of the item was deducted from our bill at the restaurant's own initiative which was a classy gesture.

Evening out on the Christmas Menu for four which was thorough enjoyed by all. Well prepared tasty food with good attentive service.
