Côte Gloucester

Excellent food every course was well cooked. Would definitely go back again for another meal. The wine was quite expensive though. The service was really good too.

Excellent food on a par with Brasserie Blanc, lovely attentive staff, excellent value lunch / early evening menu , no doubt we will be visiting again in the near future.

We are regular diners at Cote Cheltenham but as we live half way between both, decided to visit Glos. The decor and layout of the restaurant was superb. We were seated in a booth which was private yet we could still feel the atmosphere of the rest of the restaurant. We had slight waitressing problems but spoke to the manager Jonathon, who addressed the issue with no fuss immediately and professionally. The food was beautifully presented and it ate very very well. Thank you - very very impressed and will definitely be visiting again.

Very good except we were not told that a dish was unavailable until we ordered it. Liked the range and quality of the menu choices.

It was a very busy hut Saturday night so was a bit worried- but needn't have been. Both food and service were faultless- will definitely be back

Service was excellent as was the food. Gave a score of 5 instead of 6 purely on how noisy it was. Not quite the ambience I would expect in a French 'restaurant '. Maybe due to being a Friday evening! Would certainly us again........... on a Monday perhaps.

Fantastic!! Great menu with great tasting food. Staff were very nice too. One small gripe was that the drink menu wasn't that good - unless you want wine!

The service was helpful,attentive and nothing was too much trouble and the food was very good! We had outside seating which was really nice, highly recommended and we will go back again!

A wonderful addition to Gloucester Quays. I am already an ardent fan of Cotes so I will look forward to many more enjoyable meals here.

From the moment we arrived at the restaurant we knew that we were going to have a great evening. The staff could not have been more attentive and the food was amazing. I will definitely be returning.

Great service, friendly from the start. Food was also fab, came quickly and tasted amazing. They catered for our needs without any questions. Left with smiles and full tummies

Starters and my wife's lamb was wonderful but the pepper sauce that came with my steak was horrible (oily and split) - they brought me another ribeye steak and whilst still red in the middle (as requested) was very chewy. Staff were excellent. So a hiccough but will definitely go back!

Beautiful food and very attentive staff. I would highly recommend a visit here for a special night out. The chocolate fondant and chocolate moousse were beyond amazing

Lunch was a great experience. The menu selection was good, the food was well cooked with excellent presentation and all for a very reasonable price. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere and background music were most welcoming. Very well done to all concerned!

Great food and very attentive service. However, one group of very roudy drunk women, served to spoil the pleasant atmosphere. Not keen on the 'obligatory' 12.5% tip. I always tip, sometimes more, but prefer to make my own judgement on the amount.

Food very good: ingredients just right, cooked with knowledge and precision. Service perfect: attentive without being fussy. Simply couldn't fault Cote, on our third visit

Service was amazing our waitress was so attentive we couldn't asked for more. We were also given a gift as it was my birthday. The new Gloucester branch is lovely and we can't wait to go back. Food was incredible as always

Atmosphere nice staff very attentive but not to much ..ribeye steak cooked medium rare which we asked for unfortunately it had no flavour Would still return as overall a good experience

Received a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our table immediately, (we had booked) by a charming young lady. From this point the experience just got better, the waiting staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was excellent. Will definately return and highly recommend to others.

The main dish was too salty. My plate was taken as soon as I put my cutlery down. They brought me the wrong dessert, when I got what I ordered: a crème brûlée, it wasn't set properly and therfore the grains of vanilla were wasted at the bottom of the dish. And then, although it says on the bill optional gratuity, it turned out not to wasn't optional but mandatory. Although the staffs were professional, considering my experience, I wouldn't have given them any tips. Also, this is not the US. Staffs aren't paid depending on tips to make a leaving.

Same experience as before: Food was ok but sightly too salty. Never got the tonic water I've ordered. Didn't ask for it again as couldn't be bothered. At least it wasn't added to the bill. They rush you through your meal (your plates are picked up as soon as you finish your last mouth full. If they could ask you what you want for dessert at the same time they probably would. The tips aren't optional as put down on the menu or receipt but are automatically added to your bill. The staffs are very professional but friendly.

My guest and I had a wonderful brunch. I had the French breakfast and she had the full English breakfast. We had the breakfast deal so this included 2 orange juices and a latte and cappacino. For just under £20 it was astonishingly good value. Excellent and friendly service again. Could not fault it.

Excellent quick service with waitress whose personality was out of the top draw. All the courses that the 4 of us had were pleasantly presented and exceeded our expectation of the restraint. Not too expensive either. Definitely going back again. Regards Allan Delves

A warm welcome. Attentive service, good food and reasonable value for money. Liked the ambience and great to have Cote in Gloucester, having been to their Cheltenham and one of the London restaurants before. The Gloucester Quays needed something a bit more upmarket.

Very helpful staff (even if there were a lot of them!) beautiful location and above average brunch. Would definitely come again. More outdoor seating needed (Gloucester quays)

As usual we had a good meal with pleasant attentive service. The availability of a alcohol free lager was a pleasant surprise for a Cote. The main downside for us is the restaurant although by no means full was very noisy.

Nice atmosphere, relaxed but busy at the same time. Food was lovely and service attentive. Good selection of dishes and specials. Strange design in that the kitchen is upstairs so I think the waiters are going to struggle having to use the same stairs as customers using the loos which is a shame.

Fabulous food, especially the asparagus risotto. The vanilla ice cream with the chocolate fondant was also delicious. Very friendly and attentive service. Will definitely return.

Wonderful ambience. Staff were friendly and bubbly. We will definitely be going back here soon. The belly pork was the best I've ever tasted. Yum.

Pleasant evening with very friendly staff and tasty food . However sides are expensive, especially the frites which are a tiny portion...ok for me but very disappointing for others.

The food was lovely, friendly helpful staff. It was my daughter s 15 th birthday mentioned it when I booked the table , as we were waiting for the bill the waiter bought out a chocolate fondant with a candle and sung happy birthday to her , also gave her a lovely birthday card. Very impressed

Really good fresh tasting in season menu . The salmon was very good and cooked perfectly . Love the decor too. Makes a nice change from the more loud chains at the quays.

Really enjoyable evening with friends. Good atmosphere very attentive waitress, excellent service and fantastic food. This is the second time we have visited Cotes and will definitely be back again. Remember to book in advance so not to be turned away at the door on Saturday nights as this is a very popular restaurant.

Excellent venue and easy parking. Varied French style menu at affordable prices (Expensive wines). Attentive, friendly and efficient staff. I ill definitely be going back

It was good really enjoyed the food and service was good food was cooked really well even though staff weren't very experienced but they worked well

Not a good evening - only one starter came, potatoes with one main missing had to ask and wait for them. Manager very good and credited the bill with goodwill. Still love Cote and will perhaps give Gloucester another try but has a lot to live up to as Cheltenham streaks ahead on service and food.

Great food beautifully presented and excellent service. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. This restaurant is great news for Gloucester. Finally somewhere decent to eat. A slick operation considering it has only recently opened. We have been a number of times and are never disappointed. This is our local restaurant of choice.

Service was great along with the food. It did however take 3 attempts and 4 staff members to get our pudding correct. However, both ourselves and the staff saw the funny side of this and as a goodwill gesture they gave us our puddings free and even asked if we wanted to remove the 12.5% gratitude payment. We didnt as they still deserved it, but it was nice of them to ask and think of the experience we had and how we could have reacted.

Very helpful and friendly staff, the food came quickly and was delicious, my friend and I were very pleased and we would definitely go back again

Great atmosphere, great food, great staff, 12.5% compulsory service charge not great! Tips should be at the discretion of the diner based on quality of food, service and overall experience and not a mandatory payment added to the bill at the end of the meal!
