Côte Gloucester

Four of us had the half chicken, they all came out cook and very moist. We then had the chocolate fondant which I would recommend.all the staff where friendly and plesent. Will be going back again.

My husband ordered the French onion soup for starters, the soup tasted bitter as if the onions had been burnt rather than just caramelised, he mentioned this to the staff and after he was told that the recipe had recently been changed and the soup had been tasted and seemed ok, was offered an alternative asparagus soup. This replacement soup was very nice, however, before he was half way through it the main courses arrived. We haven't experienced problems with the food or service previously but this was an anniversary meal and we were rather disappointed.

Had reservation for Mothers Day. Restaurant busy, very good atmosphere. Waited a little longer than usual, but that only to be expected as restaurant totally full. Food was great, arrived hot and very very tasty, great quality. Service was very good also, excellent staff. Certainly going back, always a fan of Cote. I recommend to anyone who is visiting Gloucester Quays.

Lovely ambiance. Superb fresh starter Tomate au Breton. Mains and starter not quite as outstanding but delicious. Would highly recommend.

Very pleasant evening with my wife, Claire, daughter Megan and friends, meeting to celebrate Claire's birthday. Really enjoyed the occasion. The food was lovely and the staff were all very friendly and attentive.

Good Food - but didn't allow enough time between courses.Just finished starter and main course arrived 4 minutes later - felt as though they were trying to rush you, yet there were plenty of empty tables, so not as though people queuing for a table.

Excellent as always, attention to detail, wonderful food and service. Really felt spoilt on our anniversary thank you.

The beef bourgingon is superb with generous cuts of tender beef. The red wine was lovely and accompanied the food perfectly. Plum tart was delicious and a generous portion.

We've visited Cotes in Cheltenham and Gloucester many times and always enjoyed the service and the food. Usually buzzing with diners of all ages which creates a great atmosphere. We selected lamb chops which were cooked exactly as we asked and were very tasty and tender. We finished this with Cotes famous Crete caramel, which is fabulous. On this occasion we were in Gloucester and were warmly received and had excellent service. The noise level in both these restaurants is high as all hard surfaces and nothing to dull the sound, as oldies we do sometimes find it rather hard to converse, but we enjoy the atmosphere.

Clean and comfortable environment. Pleasure to eat there. Best chain reastaurant at the Quays. Quiet Thursday evening. I can’t hear when it’s busy. Attracts civilised customer. Staff display excellent communication skills.

Lovely meal, staff went out their way to make the meal special for my boyfriends 21st birthday-we were given a complimentary glass of Kir royale upon arrival and they also sung happy birthday for him whilst presenting the dessert which had been decorated for his birthday too. I’m a bit biased because the Cheltenham restaurant is my favourite but I was meeting friends in Gloucester. The food was, as always, tasty and great value. The only down side was the service was not as good as I’m accustomed to at Cote. A bit pushy. A bit lax. However I have my next Cheltenham booking lined up.

Excellent food, great service and good location. Plenty of choice on the menu with prompt service despite it being a busy Saturday night. Highly recommended for an enjoyable night out.

We thought the food was amazing, service was lovely, setting was great, nice team of staff who all seemed to get a long well and were v customer focused - kind, attentive and thoughtful. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a fabulous meal last night with wonderful flavours. There was an extensive choice on the menu. Staff were very attentive and worked really hard. Would definitely recommend Cotes Brasserie in Gloucester and will be going back again soon.

Cool relaxed sophisticated atmosphere. The music was in keeping with the ambiance of the establishment. The food is of a very high standard and there wine choice has something for even the fussiest drinkers, like myself. Its definitely a favourite of mine and will definitely go again!!

I think that is the best food I have eaten in a long while!! I had the Sea Bass with Fennel and a side dish of gratin potato, followed by creme caramel. It was absolutely delicious. We had to wait a little while to have our order taken but then I quite enjoy being given time to relax and chat with the people who I am dining with. The only slight negative for me is that the tables are very close together so you almost feel like you are dining with the people next to you but this is a minor gripe. I will definitely be returning

Had a lovely meal & we have been a few times before but on this visit we booked through the newsletter & should have had a free bottle of wine, but we were charged. We would have had it anyway so didn't complain but it was a shame that we were charged.

We had Good food and drink, which was quickly served. Quickest service I’ve ever had.Gratuity always added to bill though. Atmosphere good. Can be noisy sometimes.

A very good overall experience - the staff were attentive and provided a good service from start to finish even though it was a bit busy and we did have to wait a while for our order to be taken. The food was excellent!

Food was lovely, and the staff were excellent. It was raining when we left and they even gave us an umbrella as we didn't have one. Highly recommended.

Very attentive waiter and food was lovely. The desserts took quite a while to come out, never the less a lovely meal overall.

Food was first class and the service also. The only thing that stopped me from giving five stars was that one of the meals arrived without accompanying frites. Replacements were promised but never arrived. The management were quick to adjust the bill at the end with apologies.
