Côte Gloucester

Having booked a table for two a week in advance arrived to find that we were given a table shoved up against a Piller wall. I asked if we could be moved but this was not possible. I was then told I could have drink on the house but was charged for this and as I was driving this was of no use. We were being rushed at all instance's to order,then food for the main arriving before we had barely started the starter. Some of the food was stone cold and some very hot and pre cooked. To much attention from non English speaking overbaring waitresses . When I settled the bill there was an optional gratitude that was included in the print out so therefore NOT optional but nothing said about this to us at any stage. To be honest I would have tipped more if the service was good but this place really doesn't deserve a tip other than buck up and get customer service better. I won't be going back and I don't expect they would miss my custom but at least my hard earned cash will grace an establishment that deserves it.

Great food, always consistent. Friendly attentive staff. Lovely atmosphere. Eaten here many times Drop the 12.5 percent gratuity and let us tip as we see fit.

Celebrated my husband's birthday with friends excellent food n service as always

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt welcomed and valued. We were even given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine at the beginning as it was our wedding anniversary.

We were celebrating our daughters birthday. I had forewarned the waiting staff through my reservation. They made the evening memorable by bringing out a birthday dessert while the whole restaurant sang happy birthday. We particularly enjoyed eating in the restaurant with the front open to the boulevard, it reminded us of eating in restaurants on the continent. A great evening.

Very attentive service; very acceptable food; not too much up selling. Just need to sort out the “optional” service charge - the only unacceptable part of the lunch experience.

Lovely birthday celebrations, made even nicer by the very thoughtful dessert and candle provided at the end with absolutely no request. Service was good, despite there being a big party opposite which was clearly take up a lot of manpower. The complimentary drinks were very nice. Our food, as always, was perfectly cooked and presented; it was interesting that some of our party have eaten at other Cote branches and stated they felt they had had a far better experience at the Quays in Gloucester (I hope Chef remains at Gloucester for many years to come!). It remains our favourite restaurant in Gloucester, and the one we always use to take visiting guests.

Good service and pleasant ambience throughout my visit. Also very accommodating when selecting my free bottle of wine.

Our mains took way too long to come out, but thankfully the Manager noticed rather than us having to complain and she chased them up for us. When the bill arrived she deducted the starters as a "sorry" without us asking and so the overall experience became positive. If she had not been proactive this would have been a 2 star rating.

Really lovely meal and you made my Mum feel really spoilt on her birthday thank you so much. Only disappointment was my sea trout it was undercooked and lacked any flavour.

Very friendly staff with good service and excellent food

Out again last night with friends but for my birthday meal this time and couldn’t of been better! Very well looked after by management and waiting staff, gorgeous free birthday drink, amazing food and a wonderful pudding surprise! Can’t thank everyone enough for a brilliant birthday night.

Had a wonderful night for my husbands birthday the food was amazing as normal but the time we had to wait was a little longer than expected we had to wait well over an hour

Fantastic!! The food was amazing, the staff were lovely, the atmosphere was fab. At times it was a bit noisy, but thats to be expected when so many people are interested in a good dinning experience. I had a truely wonderful evening at Cote.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. We asked for a booth table, and were accommodated. I’ve been here 3 times in 5 months and it’s always good. Crab mayonnaise was gorgeous.

Excellent service, excellent food, all round great atmosphere. It was my wife's birthday, and a staff member had noticed cards being given and opened, and 3 members of staff on delivering our desserts my wife's had a candle and they sang Happy birthday all unscripted. So they deserve top marks.

Excellent food and service. Lovely touch with drink and surprise for the birthday girl. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definitely return
