Côte Farnham

We had a lovely evening at the Cote Brasserie Farnham. The service was excellent and the meals delicious. Our reservation was handled very efficiently too. Highly recommended.

We have been to Cote Brasserie many times but this visit was the worst. Food was average and the service was dreadful. We had our main course and that was it apparently. Nobody cleared our plates, no offer of dessert menus, more drinks or coffee so after 45 minutes we paid the bill and had coffee and dessert in the cafe up the road! This was on Easter Monday at lunchtime and I can only assume that the usual attentive staff had gone home for Easter!

Absolutely excellent. My table choice and the complimentary wine was all in place on arrival as soon as I checked in. Service, wine and food was as usual outstanding.

My wife and I first dined at Cotes three years ago and we were very impressed with the dining experience it has since then become our favourite venue. Last night the ambience the staff and the quality of the food was of the highest standard and once again the whole experience made for an enjoyable evening.

We had an excellent meal as a birthday celebration and were given great service from friendly and attentive staff. There was a good buzzy atmosphere.

Excellent food, staff very pleasant and good, friendly service. Only criticism is it was quite noisy and difficult to have a conversation. Will visit again.

Lovely breakfast as usual - very good value and excellent service. Take advantage of the special deal which gives you juice, any hot breakfast and a hot drink.

The booking arrangements are great. 1st class service from knowledgeable waiting staff. Good atmosphere a central location. Had a great night with friends and family

Very good, the staff very welcoming, excellent selection on menu, quality cooking and served piping hot. The Manager/ Supervisor advised me I didn't download the reward coupon correctly, however she was very charming and gave us first class service. We will certainly be returning especially if you promise a free bottle of Cotes du Rhone?. Regards David Gibbs

Always a welcome at the door. helpful and kind particylarly Samihr who makes allowances for my arthritis and brings a narrow glass and flat plate etc

Good Restaurant, always warm welcome and food very good and reasonably priced for the good quality. I would recommend a visit but boom first as always busy!!

Varied menu will suit everyone. Fish lunch special slightly small so needed the frites but wine by the glass very reasonably priced and coffee is excellent as you would hope. Very good service too.

My husband and I visited Cote for a last-minute dinner on a Saturday night. Great food & great service. A very enjoyable visit as always!

Great food, great value. Crème caramel to die for. So refreshing to see traditional French cuisine without all the TV chef gimmicks. Highly recommended but need to book as it gets rather busy. Could do with some acoustic materials to reduce the noise.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Cote is always our first choice of restaurant in Farnham. Although missing the Salmon fish cakes off the winter menu.

Everything was ok. My only complaint was that my friend's steak was rather tough. He was offered another one but did not want one. There was a goodwill adjustment of £2 on the bill but inthe circumstances I do not think this was sufficient.

Took family for a birthday meal. My sirloin steak was not good but staff changed it quickly for me and the minute steak was perfectly cooked. Good service.

A very nice meal overall, waiter was very polite and professional and we had a choice of table which is important to us. Food was fantastic quality. I had the mussels to start which were cooked to perfection followed by a delicious lamb shank.. My girlfriend had the vegatarian option which she thouroghly enjoyed. Top quality food and service at an agreeable price. Will definitely come again.

Eat here often, although only for breakfast so cannot vouch for the evening meals, this time we again had a nice meal with good service.

Another nice breakfast here, I find the staff here consistently friendly and the standard of food always good. The breakfast is particularly good value for money

Two course menu deal is great value but both my friend and I found our mains bland. Both the risotto and sea bass had very limited flavour. Disappointing as we have excellent meals off this menu in August and July.

Cote in Farnham is a really wonderful place to have brunch, lunch or dinner. The staff is always polite and the place is very well run by the Manager and his colleagues. As far as we are concerned we do not go anywhere else in Farnham.

Always enjoyable; steak not as tasty as usual; waiting staff perhaps a little keen. Good range within the Fixed Price menu, as always. Will come again.

The food was excellent and good value off the lunch specials menu but the service was a bit slow today. Would return hoping the service is more attentive.

Very good experience at the Farnham restaurant. Service was good and all enjoyed their meals including our young grandson. We will definitely book again soon.

Excellent food, huge variety of choice and helpful well trained staff. Makes a nice change to go to a professionally run restaurant. Staff could advice on courses and servings of food is just the right amount.

Farnham is our favourite Côte, as always the food, the excellent friendly service & overall experience was most enjoyable We took some friends who were visiting from Germany, this was their first time in a Cote Restaurant & they were both very impressed Thank you to Russel & his team for a very nice evening

Overall ok, service was a little slow and not very busy. Starter pate was older than me and dry. Main ok, dessert very good. Overall 7/10

I have eaten from the September lunch menu twice and have found both main courses lacking flavour. This was disappointing as I have previously enjoyed all the food here.

As good as always, service excellent even though really busy. Delicious Spinach Salad followed by tasty plaice on bed of leeks. Now looking forward to Guildford Cote on Friday.

Service was very good and friendly. When my friend had a chewy minute steak it was changed straight away. The value for money on the three course lunch/dinner is excellent.

Very enjoyable evening with splendid meal and complimentary glass of kir royale for my birthday. Friendly staff and very attentive. Will definitely return. Very easy to look a table on line.

Lovely evening. Food and service were up to their usual high standard. Had a very nice glass of the house rose wine. Good choice of dishes.

Overall I thought the meal a little expensive for what we had.The peppercorn sauce was slightly too salty for my taste and the ribeye steak tasted more like rump.The upper room at Farnham felt disconnected from the main room downstairs.The table we sat at had not been completely cleaned and one of the pieces of cutlery offered was dirty. All told a bit of a disappointment.

Inadequate, although waitress very good ! My steak was cold my friend had two cours es taken to be told they were not available and we waited one and a half hours for our meal !!!! Will not rush back

Today being Saturday it was very busy service a bit too over enthusiastic/attentive but overall meal enjoyable and plan to visit with friends within the next few weeks.
