Côte Farnham

We regularly visit Cote Farnham and have never been disappointed. On our recent outing we were given a warm welcome and offered a choice of tables. The serving staff are knowledgeable and friendly, food arrived quickly with a suitable gap between courses. The October early evening menu is not to my taste but the a la carte menu has a wide selection of excellent dishes.

Good food, good service, pleasant suroundings easy booking. Great menu looking forward to the winter menu always have the Steak tatar or the crab the duck was excelent.

All the staff are always very attentive without being too disruptive to conversations going on. My friend and I have been visiting Cote Farnham for about a year to have a lunch and catch up on news and we have never been disappointed.

Another good dining experience at Cote. Although it was extremely busy were well looked after.

We had a lovely meal at Cote, the food was first rate, absolutely delicious. I can’t think where to get a better quality steak in the whole of Farnham.

I have not been to a Cote restaurant for some time. But on the evidence of this experience very high standards of food and service are being maintained. The waitress on this occasion was extremely friendly and professional.. I will certainly return

Always have an excellent meal here. Delicious food and great service. All 6 guests were very happy with their choices and sea food linguine was best ever!

Service for the early evening meal very slick and efficient, served promptly and with a smile. Food very fresh and well presented. Have booked a Lunch for a party of 12 in October.

Good steaks all round and good value wine. Pity the chips ended all over me. We never come to Cote without some drama or other. Usually ends in a free course somewhere along the line but not this time.

We had a nice welcome and great service. The restaurant was warm and had very nice atmosphere. We both had the sole which was beautifully cooked and served. Cote is our to favourite and we have never had a bad meal here.

Another great visit to a great local cafe. Food and service is always top notch and quick and hot. Formula breakfast is the way to start the day

The food was good as usual and very good value especially if you have one of the set menus. The service was also good and the staff very friendly.

Never disappointed. Calamari starter excellent, steak delicious accompanied by a very good glass of merlot. Staff are always extremely helpful and service generally quick. Couldn't ask for more. Always happy to visit any Cote.

Very good atmosphere and food and waitress readily joined in our fun, which we really appreciated. Good buzz to the place and all ages catered for.

Nearly everything about our visit was excellent. The food was delicious - 3 of us had different dishes and each one was really good. The service was impeccable in every way. The ONLY snag was the noise. The restaurant as usual was very full and we sat in the centre of the main room. I could barely hear the person I was sitting to and my husband who sat opposite to the other person could hear almost nothing of what she said. Next visit I will sit somewhere different and see if the noise is less intrusive there. The ceilings are low, the floor is hard and the noise just sits - as people have difficulty hearing, they (and we) all raise their voices which makes it even worse!!

Always well looked after with efficient service and most importantly, excellent food. We use the restaurant frequently and have never been let down. Nothing is ever a problem and we leave feeling entirely satisfied and wanting to come back.

I would ordinarily give Cote Farnham a 6 rating as it's always perfect for our family get togethers; great food, service and atmosphere. Unfortunately, this time it wasn't quite so good.

Had to wait a long time before we were served. No water on table. Had to ask for it. Breakfast wasn’t that warm. Had to ask for the toast which hadn’t arrived with the breakfast. In fact my husband had finished his breakfast by the time it arrived. No butter either. Had to ask for fruit juice too, which was only half full and filled with ice. Cutting down Côte? Bill was wrong too. Waiters aren’t too bothered either. With a service charge already put on bill I think they think they don’t have do too much. Wrong. Definitely not impressed with Farnham Côte. Woking and Guildford are definitely the better ones.

Lovely setting and good food but the disorganised service really let it down. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned, had to ask again for someone to take our order, our food arrived with no cutlery, they forgot our drinks and finally to cap it all they overcharged us. When correcting the bill we asked for the optional 12% gratuity to be taken off. I've never asked that before but the service was shocking.

Great food and lovely presentation with and friendly competant staff. I have never been disappointed with my meals here. Excellent value for money I think.

I was a little disappointed on the choice for the set menu but otherwise it was still the usual high standard of service. no complaints!

Food was fine as usual. Problem was we sat outside and were pestered with wasps, it was a real pain. I would still go there again.

The service is very friendly, there is a good menu and the food is always excellent. Menu is good for just a light lunch or for dinner in the evening.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We ordered a diverse range from the menu and all were rated highly by the 6 of us. Restaurant busy so service slightly slow

Excellent meal and really good and friendly service. We had the sole which was perfectly cooked and served simply with a buttery lemon sauce. Delicious.

Enjoyed the Fish Parmentier and creme brûlée dessert. Service was slow and limited attention given. Overall though an enjoyable experience and will go back again

My friends enjoyed our meals as usual but to be honest the atmosphere was spoilt by the music- far too loud as you had to speak above it. This is the first time we have come across this and hopefully the last. Farnham has low ceilings and chatter from guests sometimes is too loud

Prompt service and didn’t rush us for the table. Enjoyed the whitebait starter and the fish main course. Excellent value in vibrant surroundings as usual.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed a lovely lunch. Everything was very good, the food was excellent along with the friendly service. I will certainly be back.

Had a great meal, can highly recommend the minute steak! Service was excellent. They even bought a cake and candles as we were celebrating my sons birthday.

We always get great service and food at cote. Everything is cooked to perfection and the choice of menu is extensive, there is something to suit everyone and at a really good price.

I think you need to find another Olive suppler because the serving last night was quite poor. Some were squashed, most we ate were very bitter hence we left most of them.

Farnham Cote is our favourite Food is of course standard but friendly and efficient staff makes each visit memorable I just hope that the rapid expansion you are achieving does not erode the perfection you have achieved to date

Always excellent service and food in very well kept surroundings. Immaculately clean from the dining areas to the ladies room. I have never been disappointed.

Very fast and friendly service with lovely, tasty food. Good size portions. Only one slight niggle - the wooden chairs scrape on the tiles and distract from the pleasant atmosphere

Reliably excellent food and service as usual but price for set menu has been increased by approximately £5 without any discernable benefit to the customer.

I visit Cote in Farnham fairly regularly but this particular occasion was very good indeed. Excellent welcome and a good corner table available. No problem with the jolly party of 12 next to us. Service very attentive and quick. I was impressed with our waiter who appeared to know the wine list very thoroughly. Enjoyable meal - I don't eat meat and my usual choice, the fish parmentier, was, I thought, better than usual - less liquid, more fish and potato. Of the various brasseries and bistros in this price range I think Cote is up with the best.

Waiter and waiteress always very good nothing is too much trouble. Had our normal formulae breakfast which is good value slight problem with wasps outside so we eat inside

the usual good experience here for breakfast. good food and service.
