Côte Farnham

Had probably the worst risotto ever - tasted like stodgy porridge. Left most of it. More annoying was at no time were we asked if we were enjoying our meal? Asked to pay the bill and sat for 10/15 minutes waiting.......and then had to wait another 10 minutes to ask again if we could settle the bill??? Next visit to Farnham will include a wide birth of Cote

Warm welcome on a cold night, lovely complementary apertiff. Food was lovely as ever and pleasant ambience though a tad noisy. Thank you for a lovely night out.

Good food and wine. Service generally very good but main course toll a hell of a long time to arrive. Staff excellent as always - you select and train them well. A very enjoyable evening.

Never dissapoints. Service excellent, food superb, lots of choice although I always stick with my favourite, poulet grille whilst my husband will try other dishes. Excellent disabled facilities and always accommodating with plenty of space for my wheelchair. Our Friday night haunt!

Staff were excellent as always. My steak had to go back because I'd asked for medium/well and it was bloody! I had to eat when all the others had finished! My sister-in-law's mushroom ravioli was very dry around the edges. Otherwise all was okay. Thank you.

I quiet evening in our favourite Cote. Although quiet, service seemed slower than usual. Not a major problem as I often prefer to make an evening rather than just a meal

First time at this particular Cotes. Four of us met for a birthday lunch, and the staff went out of their way to acknowledge my husband’s birthday and gave him a complimentary glass of wine. Nice touch. We all had the two course standard lunch menu. Plenty of choice and the food was delicious. Surprisingly busy for a Monday lunchtime, so waited quite a while for our mains, but we weren’t in a hurry, and the food was well worth waiting for. Can highly recommend.

The staff where polite, friendly and patient on my visit.

A lovely meal that was served up by friendly and efficient staff, attentive but not intrusive.. The food was very tasty, we both had the roast cod, which was cooked to perfection. A pleasant experience.

As ever, the food was delicious. The staff are lovely. I would recommend Farnham Côte to everyone. We usually go for breakfast, the eggs royale (which are the best I've ever had) followed by french toast with fruit for the sweet hit afterwards. This time we went for steak tartare and charcuterie board followed by fish stew and rib eye steak. My partner had room for the praline crepes which were so delicious he wouldn't let me try them. Thank you to all the staff for making lunch time wonderful today.

LAST NIGHT WE HAD A LOVELY DINNER THERE, STAFF IS SO NICE , FOOD IS GORGEOUS AND THE AMBIENCE VERY CALM AND ENJOYABLE

Good vegetarian choice, however disappointed with the veg sausage meal, sausages over cooked and hard. Moules very good as usual. Very good service , staff polite and attentive.

A very pleasant meal sadly spoilt due to my wife's seabass main only arriving after the rest of our party had finished theres and even then it was cold. After a considerable length of of time a replacement arrived which was cooked but not crisp on the outside as it should be. Then to dessert, my wife went for a cheese board saying what could go wrong........ It arrived but without the bread which again arrived some considerable time later. During all this there were lots of apologies but not a lot of correction. The bill was amended to reflect the poor service my wife received but I suspect the problem with the service will remain. It does seem like there is a disconnect it the chain of service somewhere. This is all a great shame as we have had great service here before but this is now the second occasion in a row that we have encountered this problem so unfortunately I don't think we will return in the future.

Had breakfast at Farnham Cote this morning with my neighbour. As usual an excellent breakfast and staff all very helpful and pleasant. Well done for always being consistently good.

Excellent meal, very tasty as usual, cannot fault the Farnham Cote.

Very pleasant restaurant restaurant in a lovely location. Service unfussy and very good in a busy lunchtime session.

Food was good, but the service was unbelievably slow. Having brought the kids for a treat and we were the first table in the restaurant, we had one of the slowest services I can remember, with no one actually in charge of the table. A waiter admitted they were understaffed. It took well over 2 hours to finish. Very frustrating given the food was pretty good

Lovely meal for both ‘normal diners’ and gluten free. Good service . Only gripe I did ring and as asked left a message requested a call to confirm time of our table, but no call back.

It was extremely busy and noisy. Food took ages to come.

Good atmosphere. Efficient, friendly service. Lovely starter but main course - roasted veg, lentils and a poached egg was tasteless. Completely lacking in any flavour. Very disappointing. Also, overcharged by &1.80. Minor amount but irritating.

Belly pork. 'Crackling' was soft and flaccid not crunchy and crisp. Pity 30 seconds with a blowtorch would have sorted it. Who's running the Pass to let that dish out? Otherwise good food excellent service.

Lovely cocktails, lovely food & good atmosphere today for my son’s birthday celebration meal, thank you Cote Farnham.

As always a first class meal served well. Only problem I have is that when we make a booking (in person) and ask for a particular table we are told that reservations of tables cannot be made. Then when on the night we arrive and note a free table we would like we are told - sorry that one has been reserved. What is the policy, if there is one or is this favouritism.

Love cote brasserie always have a good meal. Good atmosphere.

Even though we booked and turned up at the allotted time, however we had to stand in the entrance for 5 or 6 minutes and wait for a table to be free. Even though it is January the air conditioning was on and blowing right at us. We asked for it to be turned down, but it wasn't. We were overcharged, the waitress then gave me another bill which was also wrong. I explained it was wrong again but she failed to understand. So I will have to take this further!

All OK except for the fact that when we ordered minted peas we didn't expect onions & cabbage! The stand alone peas eventually arrived but too late.

Very busy. Service and food was excellent and brilliant value for money.

We enjoyed the evening. Atmosphere was good and service reasonable. It was disappointing that both of our main courses arrived just lukewarm.

The visit was the first time to any Cote Restaurant and it was on a Sunday evening, hence quiet! We were very surprised and pleased with the menu which contained an excellent choice of dishes. We had a really nice bottle of wine at a very reasonable price The service was very friendly and efficient. Overall a good experience and value for money. We will definitely visit again. Perhaps on a busier day the service may not be so good but we cannot fault the restaurant at all.

Everyone was very friendly even though the restaurant seem to be completely full and the service was very good in the circumstances .I particularly appreciated our first glass of complimentary white wine being turned into a Kir by a little jug of creme de cassis thank you for a lovely time
