Côte Farnham

The service was very slow and had to go up to the till/desk to request 2 coffees after we had eaten, then had to go again to the till to ask for the bill

It was very busy being New Year's day. The staff was working very hard but, it was slower than usual because of the amount of diners. One lot of veg was cold and also my pasta. Atmosphere good, staff lovely.

We were a group of four people. Three out of the four meals were very good but, unfortunately one of the duck main courses was over cooked and dry, as if it had been reheated as opposed to having been cooked fresh. We did not complain as we had guests with us. Normally, the meals at Cote are excellent, hence our frequent visits. Regards Paul Raymont

On a very busy night - New Year’s Eve - Cote Farnham delivered their usual high standard of food, drink and service. We were very impressed and will return again soon.

Fantastic food and service. We requested a quiet area and were seated upstairs. Before we come again could someone kindly puts some lubricant on the kitchen door! My family were greatly impressed. They had never been to Cotes before. We will certainly be coming again.

Food was lovely as always but the service lacked today I'm afraid ... not the usual Cote experience

Cote brasserie always provides good service and food we always go back.

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and as there was 10 of us the table wasn’t quite ready but they made us feel very welcome and found us somewhere to sit while they sorted out our table. Once the table was ready we were given excellent service by a young man and the food was also to a very high standard - we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Not bad but my chicken dish had almost no mushroom sauce so I asked for more which was brought but charged for! I deducted it from the bill but not impresssed. Otherwise as good as usual..

Good choice of well-prepared food at very reasonable prices. Excellent service.

Over the Christmas period so understandably busy but still very noisy. Otherwise a lovely visit.

Dear Côte, Please pass on my sincere thanks to your manager at Farnham and his team. I dined tonight with 15 other ladies. Our original booking was 25, some dropped at very short notice on the day. To add to that none of us remembered our pre-orders...and then the bill came, which was worked out incorrectly by no less than three of us...after much debate with the manager, I’m extremely embarrassed to say it was completely our issue. The manager was very gracious, didn’t make us feel at all uncomfortable. I dine frequently at Côte, the service and food are always very good but tonight I am compelled to write and request a massive thank you to him and the team. I feel terrible I didn’t asked for the names! I hope they have a great Xmas.

Great service and as always great food! Really tasty and well presented dishes.

A very pleasant ambience, beautifully presented and tasty food, and attentive waiters, made our evening an enjoyable one. A hiccough causing the delay of our food arrival, was honesty explained to us and sincerely apologised for by the waiter, and therefore didn't detract from the evening as a whole. This was my third visit to Cote, and I hope to visit many more times in the future.

It was very unfortunate that our table booked for 10 people at 7pm, and confirmed with a personal visit to management to confirm where we would be seated, was on arrival occupied by another group, meaning we had to wait 15 minutes for another table to pay and clear before we could be seated. having said that every effort was made to make up for the error, free welcome drinks and a small discount from the bill.My son was over from hong kong hosting this family dinner and the initial impression and confusion was very poor. The food was good as always.

Only thing was that I didn’t even get a thank you for pointing out they left the wine off the bill. Oh well.

Disappointing first visit to a Cote with some of the food being served late with one of our guests being advised as others were being served that they would need to choose something else from the menu as the chef said he/she wasn't happy with the last portion of Duck available. The steak was served late as was the tarteflette which then had to be sent back because although the serving dish was hot to the touch on the sides, the potato in the middle was completely cold and also hard as well. The steak in the steak tartar was also not of the highest quality. Other aspects of the meal were good and the staff were very apologetic and took the steak, duck and tartiflette off the bill which was kind but just a real shame it took the shine off what should have been a lovely family meal out.

Great food, great staff, convivial surroundings, amazing value and the best steak frites this side of the Channel!

Always good service after dining in Cote Farnham for over 25 years! I am a severe coeliac and also egg yolk intolerant, so eating at Cote is peace of mind as staff are fully trained in food/drink allergies. Excellent meal today, as always! Mrs P Archer

I cannot recommend the Côte Brasserie enough. This goes without saying, but the food is incredible. There's a really nice ambiance to the place and, all-in-all, we really enjoyed our evening. It was the first time we'd eaten there and the best thing I can say is this - we will definitely go back again. The people who waited on us deserve a special mention. They were attentive, charming and extremely helpful. They knew the menu inside out and everything was done with great humor. We appreciated the care and attention we received and it added to what was a very special night.

Restaurant is, on the whole, ‘good value.’ Unfortunately though, the tables are packed very tightly, which feels very clostrophobic and can get very noisy. The service is not always 100% and I feel that to charge 12 1/2 % service charge is steep.

Cote is always excellent in every respect. I have been requested for a number of years now and it is my favourite restaurant in Farnham. Thank you Cote.
