Côte Farnham

Always great food and great service, Cote Farnham never fails to impress.

As ever, a fabulous lunch. The staff are friendly, the food SUPER-tasty and good value. There was a delay with our meal this time, but it was dealt with very professionally (and we got some complimentary olives!). Never had a disappointing meal at Côte.

As every time - sterling performance: excellent service, excellent food, excellent wine - love this place!

We had a lovely family gathering for my Birthday- 8 of us plus baby in high chair. The staff were very friendly and helpful and looked after us very well. My only criticism would be that the crusted cod dish was a little tasteless and didn’t have many broad beans in it, but the waitress went and got us some more.

Usual good service, warm welcome and good food. What's not to like!

We love Cote! The staff are always so friendly and helpful and last night was no exception . Despite being very busy , the service was excellent. It was our 12 year old grandsons choice for his birthday meal —- even the younger generation love Cote! We shall be back next week with friends - that speaks for itself!

Very busy. Some attention to detail slipped - like warm potato side dish and a reminder to bring over some more water. Otherwise, staff very good

Okay lunch time meal. Surprisingly busy restaurant Had the prix fix menu which was value for money and does what is says on the box.

Excellent choice of breakfasts which was well cooked and presented. Good service. Restaurant was busy, hence it was noisy but not a problem.

The service was a bit slow and we were very hungry by the time the main course arrived. The cottage pie was tasty but did not have much meat in it. The creme caramel was delicious.

Cooking was good. Waiting staff were lack-a-daisical. Our table was not very comfortable to sit at.

Food consistently good as always but SHOCKING table by door with constant cold air blowing in every time someone came into the restaurant. There should not be a table there at all. Constant draft.

Love cotes so reliable great service and food in a lovely setting

It’s hard to fault Côte for what it is- a chain. The decor in Farnham is really nice faux art deco with a touch of British restraint. The building itself and the Lion and Lamb yard are lovely: again faux but great. The food is more than acceptable to all but the most effete. I had the bavette steak frites, which was exactly how i expected. My partner had salmon salad because the Chef said he wasnt happy with the tuna: good for him. The salmon was great and translucent so clearly fresh. Dessert wasn’t great: the normal rubbish you get everywhere, but who cares!!! Everything ‘Jamie’s’ gets wrong Côte ( in Farnham) gets right. It was £80 for two with a good bottle of wine, three courses and coffee. I think thats a bargain. Chapeau Côte!

Regularly go to cote brasserie love the food and atmosphere.

Despite being moderately busy the staff very polite and very efficient, the wines on offer very excellent and as usual the food was very nicely presented and very tasty. I would not hesitate in recommending Cote for a meal out at any time.

Lunch with the neighbours to celebrate the New Year. Very warm welcome and the round table I had requested was ready. Great meal as usual. Service was slower than we are used to but the restaurant was unexpectedly busy with many people turning up without a booking. All excellent though and a very enjoyable start to 2020.

Food is always good at Cote Farnham but what this place offers above any other Cote we've been to, or most other places in general, is superb service. Thank you!

Service was friendly and exceptional. Poached eggs were cold as they were served on cold salmon and a cold plate, but the other two breakfasts were piping hot!

We have been many many times but never been upstairs, not sure if this was the reason the waitress service was terrible, drinks never arrived with pairing menu, even water had to be requested. We had to keep asking for drinks and appeared to forget about when finished our main. So once again had to get up and speak to her to order the sweet. The people next us got there main before the starter. Such a shame the the food was great but let down on a special night( New Year’s Eve) by that.

The steaks were inedible sadly. Service very poor, mistakes with wine orders etc.

Easy to book on line after I received an email with the January Sale Offer. The meal was excellent. We had the 2 course lunch with a rosé by the glass. Slight confusion with the bill as we were charged £11.95 per 2 course meal instead of the advertised £9.95 in the email. However this was soon rectified.

Efficient well run, friendly restaurant where the food is good value and very consistent quality.

Seven of us visited for breakfast to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday. Food and service was outstanding and it was a busy time. Five of us had the Formule option and two just had breakfast. Be careful though as we were charged for everything individually initially and it came to much more than it should have done. We pointed it out and it was rectified immediately. Overall very enjoyable.

We have eaten here before but this was not the best experience. Two of us had chicken which had been grilled but did end up rather dry. Half way through the meal the air con started up with a blast of cold air directly on the table - just about killed the atmosphere.

Very good breakfast and excellent service. Sometimes a bit noisy.

Approachable waiting staff and very freindly manager made the visit a very nice experience. Food was good too!

I can really express my feelings We had lovely meal in memory of my late wife, Jane. The staff were wonderful and the company so understanding. Thank you so much everyone I will be back on my next visit from France. Warm regards Alan

A delightful evening with excellent food in a very comfortable and warm environment. We thought this was excellent value for money and the staff were very attentive to our needs. The tables were a little close together for my liking but we we’re offered an alternative but that was opposite the door and we didn’t want to be subject to cold evening air every time a new customer arrived.

A great welcome as usual and good food and wine.

My wife and I had a lovely meal from your early bird menu. My only complaint was the watercress (as part of my meal) was discoloured, limp and dry. I said to your waitress about it and it was replaced, but was no better, she replaced it again this time with salad & dressing. I had previously explained to her that the watercress/salad needed to be put in water to freshen it up, to be told the Chef had taken it straight from the bag it was in!! Surely he would have known what to do. I could probably understand it if the restaurant had been full, but it was about 1/4 full at the time. Everything else was absolutely fine, staff friendly surroundings good. I await your comments. Colin Vernon

As ever, fabulous food, great value, wonderful service - I've never had a bad meal at Côte and they are so kind to my elderly parents who I am usually with.
