Côte Restaurant Exeter

Another very enjoyable visit to Cote Exeter. Service and food was good and it was Half Term! I booked on line which was straightforward. I had requested a window seat for 2 and was slightly disappointed this was not possible or receiving any acknowledgment that it had not been possible. The fact that a window seat for 2 became available 10 minutes after we were seated was slightly irritating. A simple communication on arrival would have addressed this.

Excellent meas. enjoyed by all of us (4) and good value, enjoyed the variety. Good service, helpful and friendly. Only issue was that it became quite noisy sitting upstairs, difficult to hear each other.

Wonderful lunch, great service. As usual you can expect good quality food at a great price and service that is very welcoming. We shall be back.

Lovely lunch from the a la carte menu, accompanied by a reward bottle of chilled Sauvignon Blanc. The Exeter service team are always welcoming and friendly. We will be back soon!

Service was slow today, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. After that everything improved & as usual the actual meal was delicious.

As always, an excellent experience. Service and food very good. Friendly and welcoming. Very good starter (warm beetroot salad ) and steak frites as always a winner. We shared the lemon tart and came away feeling satisfied. Will come again.

Was nice but the service was shocking and put a service charge on the end of it! Shouldn’t have to pay for service when I barely got one

It was busy and felt a bit understaffed and chaotic. Staff and managers having to discuss what stage which table was at in front of the guests. Possibly a handover time. Great food though!

Lovely set menu with loads of choice. Very smart interior and attentive staff. The Food was very well presented. Altogether made for a great birthday lunch!

Friendly and fast service, excellent location overlooking the cathedral, we always go for breakfast whenever we visit exeter or have friends to stay, perfect ambience.

My wife and I each had the three course lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the French experience of Cote'. The food was excellent and the service first class. We have eaten at this restaurant several times now and each time they have maintained a very high standard. Cote' produces a very good menu of French style food and gives good value for money. Well done!

Very busy tonight so had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but after that everything was excellent - food, service, wine, absolutely everything!

Have not visited Côte for quite a while, but lunch today was excellent in every way. The service was friendly & efficient, & the food delicious! I definitely won’t leave it so long next time before I visit again.

Very welcoming and polite staff. Lovely ambiance in the restaurant. Great food . only I dont agree with a service charge at 12% this should be included in the price of food and drinks I would rather give a tip to the server.

Fantastic dinner, we were about 20minutes late but there were no quibbles. Lovely service from staff who are clearly very good at their jobs. Haddock & Pork belly fab and then the crepes for pudding - I would thoroughly recommend. Reasonably priced for such high quality food. We will be back very soon!

We had the same menu a couple of weeks ago and the food was much better. Better portions too. Better service... not a great experience.

The same great food we have experienced throughout for Cotes Brasserie. Trained staff a bonus, as unexpected in a chain restaurant. We will be coming again.

Had a family meal at Cote for my wife's birthday. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The only minor criticism I would have is the patato's we slightly under cooked otherwise it would have been perfect.

We had a very tasty meal with friendly service in a very attractive environment. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its value for money and good experience. We will certainly go again.

Lovely meal, great ambience in the restaurant and excellent service - friendly and attentive. My only criticism was that we were the first family in the restaurant to order - but weren't th first to receive our food, and we actually waited for 35 mins after our arrival to receive our first course. Not a horrendous wait by any means but oddly overlong given the scarcity of customers, and it felt we were sitting there for quite a long time before there was any 'action'!

Very polite service, quietly efficient and subtle. Tasty food and reasonably priced, great early bird super. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

Excellent meal and excellent service always. Great selection and delicious menu options, particularly good value for the two or three course lunch. Our favourite pudding is the creme caramel.

As usual, great food and great service. Our waitress was fantastic. Professional and efficient. Even though it was very busy, nothing was too much trouble.

Another enjoyable visit to Cote made even more so by the lovely waitress who served us. The food was almost faultless - the grilled chicken was just a little dry but it didn't spoil our experience.

Great breakfast love that you get fresh orange juice and coffee included in the price.The service is excellent staff are very helpful always willing to stop for a chat .We frequent this place often and are never disappointed .

The food was excellent. The service was great. Wine a bit overpriced. If you like a restaurant that is buzzing with conversation and has a lively atmosphere then Cote Brasserie is the place. If you want a real quiet corner to chat type restaurant, then find somewhere else.

We always enjoy coming to Cote in Exeter, lovely setting with views of the cathedral, there's invariably a buzzy atmosphere and the food and service is always reliable. A family favourite.

The evening was fabulous. They went out of their way to accommodate we are so grateful. The service and the food was outstanding. We've been before but this is by far our best time. Highly recommend

Very friendly greeting with excellent menu choice. The service was efficient and attentive with the food being wholesome, tasty and piping hot. The whole ambience was most welcoming.

Excellent Table, Service and food. Perfect! The stime we forged the excellent value early evening menu and went a la carte. Absolutely superb. You would never guess this was a chain, it has the vibe of an excellent Parisian brasserie.

Another very pleasant evening with great service and excellent food. Cote never fails to impress and excellent value for money. That's why we keep coming back and bringing friends and family.

Superb food, excellent service, very friendly staff and beautiful location in the heart of Exeter. I have no hesitation in recommending Cote Brasserie to anyone.

Lovely, attentive service, great seasonal food, a fabulous view, and great value for money. My only tiny criticism was that my artichoke gratin had been held a little long under the lamp, but the flavour was fabulous.

A lovely meal, enjoyed by all three of us. Pity they ran out of the 'special' dessert - our meal was at 12.30, so I didn't expect that! All food excellent, a great view from the table, pity about the building equipment in the close, but we all know it is needed after the fire.
