Lovely food, service a bit slow, but main criticism the ‘optional gratuity ‘ that I was given no option on, pay machine handed over for me to put my pin in. Optional should be just that’

I've never had a bad meal in Cote Exeter. This time the food was fine. Our table was not their best, as some have stunning views of the cathedral green. The staff were efficient and pleasant, including a waitress who was an Emma Stone lookalike.

Excellent night. My family love it at Côte it mever fails to meet their expectation. It’s nice to have somewhere we can go and it’s guaratanteex to be a great evening. Also love the new top floor as well even better views of the cathedral

Always a warm welcome, you feel like you have been transported to France, food excellent, great atmosphere. We usually come here for pre theatre etc, lovely experience.

Splendid ! Interesting and varied menu with something for everyone . Loved the food , beautifully presented , good service , great atmosphere , thoughtful staff - asked for a window table and got one ! Our go to place for special occasions !

We were allocated an upstairs table with a lovely cathedral view. Good atmosphere on a busy evening. All four of us enjoyed our meals and the complimentary kir royale was a really welcome bonus. We shall be back!

We enjoyed the set menu early evening deal. Restaurant was handily situated opposite Exeter Christmas market and it was a pleasure to escape the rain outside! Food and wine were good. Only downside was our table fairly near the door which meant a cold draught every time the door was opened.

Excellent!! Nice location overlooking Exeter Cathedral. Could not fault a thing with the food and service. Would definitely go again and highly recommend to others

We had a roomy table with a beautiful view, excellent food and wine, really prompt friendly service and were able to take our time and thoroughly enjoy lunch.

Excellent as always. Service is always great. Good was fantastic and the Syrah always goes down well. Me and my wife ate from the prestige set menu which offered great choices. I like that they have introduced this.

Really enjoyed the welcome, and the view! My partners first course was delicious. My main course of Sea Bass was nice, but very salty and vert rich. My main course was lovely.

The food was superb, the service excellent- unrecognisable from my previous experience! It was a pleasure and my party enjoyed every mouthful of every course, thank you.

An early evening meal which meant it was not too busy and we could take advantage of the Early Evening Menu which was very good value. All choices were delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. A great venue and will definitely return again.

Excellent. We visited for a birthday breakfast and enjoyed delicious food, a great view of Exeter’s cathedral close, with friendly, professional waiting staff. Highly recommended.

Lovely meal as usual but very very busy so bit slower service than usual. Food excellent especially the smoked Toulouse sausages and the prawn starter. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a fantastic meal again, good value too from the lunch time menu, service is excellent. Highly recommended! Best to book which is easy online as it can get busy.

I love this restaurant ; friendly staff and great food ! My only comment on this occasion was it took two hours for our 2 course meal. We started at 12 noon and as it got busier we seemed to have been forgotten

Wonderful apart from the garlic bread which was very dry, and did not have enough garlic or butter. The rest of the food was amazing.

Good food, good ambience, but service a little haphazard. Restaurant was busy, but food arrived reasonably quickly. My coffee arrived rather late. I would return!

Very friendly waiting staff. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. Always a good choice of dishes. Noticed there was a slightly more expensive menu today which I haven’t seen before with some lovely food choices on it. Always enjoy my meal here!😁

The Breton fish stew is excellent and would go there just for that. May I suggest that there is no loud music as customers are all trying to speak above it and it makes the the restaurant very noisy.

Had a very delicious breakfast to celebrate my friends retirement . We enjoyed very friendly and efficient service from the Exeter team . We all thought the breakfast was very good value .

I have eaten in several Cote Brasseries and am always amazed at the consistently high quality of both food and the service. When planning trips I always check on Cotes in the area that I'm visiting.

Superb service in a wonderful setting with particularly attentive staff. Ask for a table upstairs where you will benefit from a lovely view of Exeter Cathedral.

As always an excellent meal, staff very attentive and service very speedy. Huge piece of veal and perfectly cooked duck breast, addition vegetable's well cooked and presented

No complaints at all. Good food and good service. Menu choice wide ranging, despite being a French style restaurant. Children's menu also pleasing with fairly 'grown up' nutritious and enticing options.

Restaurant was very busy with a lovely atmosphere. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the food was excellent. We shall definitely be returning

This is my favourite Cote Brasserie and a 'must' whenever I visit Exeter. Sadly today's visit was disappointing. Service was slow and it was over an hour before our main course was served. My friend's risotto was cold and had to be reheated and we were overcharged for a glass of prosecco.

Buzzy atmosphere, lovely food, great service. We had a really good evening. Visited for dinner for the first time and on the back of this experience would definitely return.

The restaurant is in an excellent location, the food is lovely and the service is brilliant . I Would definitely recommend this restaurant as it is fantastic.

This restaurant never disappoints. Gives a wide choice for my friend who is gluten free whereas other restaurants give a very limited selection. Staff are always friendly and attentive.

Always a good place to visit whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You are always made to feel welcome and the food and service is excellent. But it is best to book in advance.

The service was excellent, and the food was both imaginative and very good. We chose the Tarte Provencale and the sea bream, which was accompanied by a delicious mixture of pea shoots, puree and courgette shavings.

We had window table upstairs overlooking Cathedral. The food was excellent with good choice on offer to suit both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Service was prompt and courteous. Overall very good value and a most enjoyable meal.
