Was given a table upstairs by window as requested. Love the atmosphere; attentive service as usual. Lovely food. Delicious. Could imagine oneself in France apart from the beautiful view of the cathedral....

Always excellent food and service here. Great view of cathedral from 1st floor restaurant. Perfect French bistro menu. Recommended. Definitely book a table as always busy.

Tried the new evening fixed price menu and found it to be good value. There was a good range of choice for each course and each course was served with a small enhancement from the early evening menu. All in all a very pleasant evening.

Excellent service,very nicely cooked food but some items slightly over seasoned. Otherwise very good. Waitress and serving staff very good, polite and professional and knowledgeable

Flawless in every way. we ate from the stonking value pre 7pm menu. Both courses (we both had the same) were spot on:/ Mackerel and beetroot salad followed by roast haddock. Service was of similar high standard. With 2 kirs, bread, potato gratin and a bottle of wine - £61 inc tip. Marvellous.

Usual good standard of food and service. I like the rotation or changes to menus. Portions not large but I’d rather eat well than eat large.

Beautiful location clean and bright restaurant excellent food and service. Perfect location for a lunch with friends. We did not feel under pressure to leave so enjoyed a 3 hour lunch!!

A very enjoyable evening. Polite staff and attentive service. The food was excellent value too. This particular Cote is in a wonderful part of Exeter, right opposite the Cathedral. Highly recommended.

Food as always was fabulous. However, the level of service was not its usual standard. A part of our order was forgotten (we were only a table of 2). Also, service seemed hurried and slightly chaotic. This may appear over critical but on our many past experiences here the experience was ever so disappointing.

Very good meal as always a pleasure to go to this restaurant especially. The most annoying thing as always is the tip is added on the bill, it is wrong because the staff would be better off if it was left to the diners discretion.

A decent meal of the set menu well served and good value - thought the ice cream was a bit tasteless but steak frites were excellent

Nice french style meal. Good service. Loud buzzy atmosphere. Duck a bit pinkrr than I like though I am used to it being served rare. Nice venue near cathedral. Ideal for a Saturday night out.

Food and service was good but the rooms air conditioning made areas have cold draughts which took the edge off a otherwise a very pleasant evening

The staff are always very attentive and happy to help. The food is always brilliant with a wide variety on the menu to chose from, you can always find something even for the fussy eaters! A lovely atmosphere overlooking the cathedral. Always a favourite of ours.

Excellent meal as usual here. Service was very friendly and polite. Menu choices were very good and my grandson's steak was cooked perfectly. We have never had a bad meal at Cote.

Wonderful quiet table with a fabulous view of the Cathedral for my birthday, as per my special request, with free Kir Royales on arrival. Great service from Claudio - friendly, efficient and warm. Food an absolute joy - totally love the Fougasse and steak frites - and great ambience in our favourite Exeter restaurant. My husband said the sea bass was fantastic as well. Huge recommend for food, ambience and service xxxx

Prawns gratinées, mushrooms feuillettés, Breton fish stew and Cod Suprême - all amazing! My husband had Pain Perdu with ice cream and loved it. Service excellent and food exceptional - as always

Can't fault them - was given my requested table, complimentary aperitif and happy birthday on my dessert! oh, and a delicious reasonably priced 3 course meal - what's not to like?

Good service and lovely food. Tables quite closely packed to the ones near you so a bit noisy. The chocolate fondant was not runny in the middle which was a bit disappointing. But nothing that would put me off enjoying another lovely evening there again soon.

brilliant. excellent service, as always. Caramelised onoin flatbread has changed, which was a pleasant surprise. Breton fish stew was excellent - highly recommended. Authentic Parisian ambience experience.

My wife's favourite place to eat in Exeter and I go along with her preference; always a great evening here overlooking the iconic west front of the cathedral and then there's the food. Consistently good and lovely smiling staff. It certainly gets our vote.

Super food served by friendly & hardworking staff. Relaxed atmosphere and as we were on the 2nd floor, it came with a wonderful view of the Cathedral. I think most restaurants in France could learn a lot from this chain.

It was a busy day but we were served quickly and the April Specials were excellent. For Wine I would recommend the Muscadet White fresh and tasty. Also the Cote Du Rhone Red which was dark and full bodied. Another excellent meal at Cote.

Excellent service and additional choice with the prestige set menu is very welcome. As always very good value for money, and staff obliging and friendly.

Had a lovely lunch as ever. Great service, and varied menu. Fresh cooked food and great value. This is the fourth time I have been this month and have enjoyed different choices of the set menu on each occasion. Never disappointed .

We always enjoy the atmosphere at Cote Exeter and feel as though we are on holiday in France. The food was delicious and the service attentive without being overbearing. We always eat there when in Exeter and recommend it as a very civilised place.

Excellent from start to finish, table, service, food. Unhurried atmosphere. Request for a particular table honoured. Very good value for money in a lovely environment.

Excellent as good as if cooked La France !! Vive la Breton de Poulet and to top it all the staff were fantastic. Great Gluten Free option too. Tres Bien.

Got our table by the window as requested! Staff attentive but not pushy. Lovely relaxed environment, wide choice of food options. Just had mains and coffee. Two little niggles (didn’t spoil our meal) some confusion with our order, we thought we had ordered a starter to share but waitress thought we had decided against it - so no starter! My son is a bit of a coffee buff and said the had “burnt” the coffee I.e. used too hot water on the coffee grounds. I have been here in the evenings when it’s a lot busier and more noisy and a bit crowded, so this was a lovely change.

Usual excellent experience - lovely ambience, excellent service, and the food was extra special. I had my 'usual' steak frites - very good steak, and my friend had the cod dish from the 'specials' menu which she absolutely loved and was very impressed by......wished I'd tried it myself!

Very good food and service, it was my wife's birthday and they delivered a customised sweet which was a very nice touch. Unfortunately no Calamari

Good service. Lovely food. Buzzy French atmosphere. What's not to like? The baked salmon in spicy crust is fab and the lemon sorbet is very refreshing.

Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely setting, our table had a wonderful view of the cathedral. The food was served promptly and was all delicious and good value. We had a lovely evening.

Lovely breakfast. We were sat downstairs and we usually prefer to be upstairs with the cathedral view. But they sat us in the windows that were opened wide and it was lovely actually. The weather was glorious also so that definitely helped matters
