Great location and lovely food. Excellent value for money and very helpful staff. The fixed price menus are really varied and good prices. Nice decor and great view of the cathedral.

Fantastic food and service as always. The fact that staff wished my wife and I a happy anniversary and gave us complimentary kirs made the experience even better. We never regret choosing Cote.

Comfortable, lovely view, excellent food, efficient and friendly service . We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the whole experience. This meal was a Christmas present and we would certainly be coming back

Great restaurant, good food and service as usual. Very convenient location, my only gripe is it’s very noisy due to not having any sound absorbing materials.

Good choice on the specials menu and very good value too. We had a good table with view of the cathedral. Only criticism was that the service was a bit slow. Very friendly staff but they needed a few more.

We enjoyed our meal very much, and it was very reasonably priced (we ate early and were able to take advantage of the early bird offer).

A perfect meal with fantastic service. High standards as always, just love visiting Côte, in such a wonderful setting too. Can’t wait to visit again to see what’s new on the menu.

As always a great way to spend a Sunday breakfast.Good staff polite and able.My wife had the french toast, lovely!! I had the scrambled egg with smoked salmon also lovely.Must do it more often.

Visited on a busy Saturday evening. Happily seated upstairs for a charming view of the Cathedral which only added to the evening. Service was prompt and attentive, ours thanks to the kitchen for an enjoyable meal. Highlights for me were the praline cêpe and the opportunity to have Chablis by the glass.

Perfect evening with a table right next to an upstairs window overlooking the cathedral, excellent service and delicious food. Will absolutely be returning very soon!

Lovely food and good service. It was my husband's birthday and they put a candle in his dessert and sang happy birthday to him. We were visiting Exeter for the day and could not have found a better place for lunch.

Excellent service and delicious food - as ususal. The only let down was that our Chocolate Pots were a bit runny and grainy in texture - most unusual as they are normally 100%!

Always enjoy our visits to this restaurant. The atmosphere is great and it is in a great position, with views of the Cathedral. The food is of a good standard and the staff are friendly.

Great food and service as always! Had our usual steak and frites with house merlot. Beetroot and mackerel salad starter especially good. Is your dressing for sale? Camembert on flatbread appetiser not as warm or as freshly prepared as we would have liked. Creme caramel is the best!

The usual quality food and great service . Probably the best place to eat lunch in Exeter. Great location and always value for money. The Tuna steaks were perfect.

We took a friend who had not been to Cote before. He and we were very impressed. The staff are very attentive (personally I would rather serve my own wine rather than have the glasses unequally refilled during the evening!) and friendly. The food is superb - a tarte fine de pomme was particularly appreciated (and that by someone who normally eschews desserts) but it was all excellent. The LaLande red wine was great. Thanks to all concerned. We will certainly be back.

A full menu filled with excellent quality food and wonderful staff. A great location over looking Exeter Cathedral. We will be back and soon to try out the early bird menu.

Good menu , plenty of choice. Food is very good & is of a consistent quality every time you visit. Staff are very professional, good service but you don’t feel rushed.

All the staff seem to really enjoy working here. It makes for a great atmosphere and when combined with the excellent food made one of my best evenings out ever!

As always lovely food, well priced and great view over the Cathedral. Staff helpful, courteous and no pressure to finish meal to seat someone else.

We had booked a table but chose to sit outside as the weather was glorious. There was no waiting time. All staff were very attentive and nice and nothing was too much. The food was delicious as always. We had a free bottle of wine 🍷 We love Côte and come back again and again 🤗👍

Excellent good, service and value. Always enjoy a visit to CB and the Exeter one is a lovely one. Nice and cosy downstairs with views of cathedral. Duck main very nice as was chicken and chips.

Excellent service when quiet at 6pm as everyone piled in for set menu before 7pm became very slow. Fish main sadly didn’t taste freshly pan fried. Shame as excellent table and view. Previous experience has been very good.

Booked for a Birthday meal and were greeted with complimentary Kir Royales. A very nice touch. Ate from the fixed price lunch menu which changes regularly. Very good as usual.

Pleasant atmosphere. Restaurant buzzing. Staff attentive and helpful, and unphased by customers on gluten free diets. Food tasty and well presented, especially the Asparagus- though bread would have been welcome to mop up the delicious sauce.

A very warm welcome was received and we had a lovely table by the window. Our order was taken quite quickly. The value for money was excellent on the set menus, and the food was excellent. The only negatives were the noise level with several larger groups, and the fact that our first food order was 'lost'. We had to reorder, and I think the starters suffered slightly in quality as they were then prepared so swiftly. However this error was acknowledged and drinks on the house were offered as recompense. Overall a very enjoyable meal, I would definitely return.

We were lucky to be there on such a beautiful evening And managed to get a table outside. The staff And food were excellent And we can't wait to go again. One of my favourite places to eat.

There seemed a change in the overall service, different staff, maybe because it was a bank holiday, but the feeling was not the usual friendly, courteous and professional service that makes Cote special. The meal was good.

Excellent food and great offer on 2 courses. More vegetarian options needed as my friend couldn't have the 2 course option as she did not like the one on offer.

Great food and attentive friendly staff. The building work next door is a bit of spoiler for the normally excellent view but that can't be helped. Keep up the good work.

This restaurant is perfect every time! Another great meal & dining experience. Took my friend for her first visit & like me, she loved it. We had a window seat upstairs with a lovely Cathedral view.

Disappointing I'm afraid... our waiter was great but sadly the food offering was poor. My wife and I (and almost every time friends or family joining us) dine at Cote, so we can compare meals. In our opinion the quality of the food offered yesterday was not up to the usual standard. We politely let our waiter know how we felt and provided positive feedback to him regarding each course. It was a shame because we were generally enjoying our experience there with our friends. I was shocked to see that we were the only customers in the restaurant... it was a hot day but there is so much competition in the area! One other point too... I had booked this table for four many weeks ago and the day before yesterday received a reminder asking if we were still dining. I confirmed this but I did not think the wording asking me something like "are you really dining with us" was the right thing to say to a customer!!

Great service. On arrival we mentioned to our waitress we were there for a birthday and we were given a glass of bubbly each. It was a nice touch. The food was incredible and we had a prime view of the stunning Exeter cathedral.

Excellent food and very good service. The chilli prawn starter was superb. The Breton chicken was outstanding. The staff also make the experience pleasurable. The view from the Cote is exceptional

We were rather early but no problem, given a table at once. Lovely food and enjoyed the recommended wine. Staff pleasant and attentive. All together a very pleasant evening.

We have always booked well in advance and frequently requested a window seat which we are promised and never get.The food is OK the staff fairly attentive but there probably needs more hands on deck the atmosphere and decor very good.

Me and my partner had steaks which were both cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to come back.
